You can set the animation field in each section from your dashboard to None, so no animation will be applied.

Sorry bug you again, I actually have one more question: in my overview section, it says the limit is 20 chapters. Also, it doesn’t show the default “Read More” after 4 chapters. Any idea how I can fix both? That is, adding the Read more button and having more than 20 chapters.

Never mind about how to increase the number of chapters to > 20. I found that option in acf_custom. I just need to know how have the Read More button show up after 4 chapters.

Thanks for the great theme. For demo 1 layout, how do you add a full width BG image to the slider. This would be the blurry image you are showing in the demo. I don’t see an option to add a background image that the main slider image sits on top of.

Hi Erik! Was hoping you could help. I need to add a “clickbank trust” banner on the homepage of my site because of Clickbanks new requirements for selling CB products must have this so customers know the product is verified. I hired someone to implement it for me, but he said that the banner is not appearing and that the theme may be striping it. The banner code is javascript. This is the script:

Hi Erik. When I post the URL of my site to Facebook, I am having a problem setting the image which Facebook picks up. This would normally be specified in the <head> tags, but adding the necessary lines in header.php has no effect. How do I specify this? (note: there is another thread in this forum with the same problem, however you emailed them the solution and I cannot see it. I have emailed you the details.)

Hi, I purchased the Flatbook theme a few months ago, but am only now getting around to installing it. Are you aware of any issues with it under WordPress 4.4.1? The post/page editor seems broken. I am unable to switch between Visual and Text input modes (also the textbox is much less than the page width), plus the content areas below the main section in the editor will not accept any input.
I have tried reinstalling both WordPress and the Flatbook theme but this has not helped. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Tomo, we currently have a minor technical issue with the webhost (where the theme demos are located) so indeed it doesn’t display as usual now – hopefully it will be fixed for tomorrow.

Not in plan yet, because FlatBook is basically a onepage layout with full width horizontal sections, so it would look strange with a sidebar.
In the other hand, i know that your site layout might be different after modifications, so if you really need that sidebar, please contact me in email and i will check your site to see if there’s anything i can do.

Hi Eric… I could not install Flatbook on two different wordpress sites.. Simply a notice “failed to write to disc” Have used many themes, and usually Genesis with a child them, never had that happen before! Is there an update or fix? Thanks Asa

Erik, I love the theme it is amazing. Just one quick question with the slider and images. The images that slide in from the right on the slider I have “bleeding” off the bottom when viewed on a desktop. Well when these are viewed on a mobile device the bottom of the images look like they are sliced at the bottom (you can see where the bottom of the image is)
(The website that that screen shot is uploaded to is another website, the screen shot is from the website with your theme)
Is there any code I can use to move up those text boxes on the mobile version so the bottom of the image touches the top of the image box?

I understand what are you pointing at, but the proper adjusting code snippet is different on every site, as it depends on the size of the uploaded model image.

Love the theme, however…. Things that could use a little improvement. The text boxes on all content tabs should use the full html edit box. Currently at least the author section doesn’t so i cant make a multi-paragraph style entry in this section. The color overlay in the sample section doesn’t seem to work for me, any color i set in that section seems to be ignored. Thanks Chuck

In the Content tab of the author section, there’s a textarea called Description, where you can add plain html code.
The color overlay in the sample section doesn’t seem to work for me, any color i set in that section seems to be ignored.
So the samples section color overlay on sour site doesn’t render like mine in the theme demo?

Well its been forever since I started this thread and i’ll understand if you don’t want to have anything more to do with it but i’ll try to explain things a little better since I’m finally getting back around to the project that this theme was purchased for.
I’m trying to do some customization of colors on various parts of the theme. I’m using the page builder and have added a “sample section”. I’ve uploaded a background image and set the background overlay color to #f0ff26 however this is NOT the color that gets overlaid on the image as I’d expect. It seems to be taking the color from customize/colors/global/primary color. I guess i’m just wondering what is the purpose of this overlay color field.
Another issu i’m seeing is some odd behavior in the theme customizer, specifically with that global/primary color. When i change that color it causes the separator icon color to change on the preview screen. This doesn’t effect the final output since the Header/Section Icon Color does get applied

Regarding the overlay color of the Samples Section, I guess this is a theme bug, will be fixed in the next update. Until than, you can recolor the overlay manually, with Css:

}
The wrong customizer preview is also a known theme bug, I would suggest to recolor these manually using Css, if the targeted element seems to inherit a wrong color value from other parts of the layout.

I need to add an image popup (ie. Fancybox) to some section of the home page preferably the Chapter Overview. Is it possible to make the Chapter Overview image popup via Fancybox without heavy customization?
I’m afraid not, integrating lightboxes are usually a hard task as it requires many tests on different devices above the html and php code adjustments.

Column shortcode. I tried variations of this: is the first half column[/column] I also tried some of your simpler shortcodes but none seem to be active.
The shortcode just shows up as text in the page.
“[column width=”1/2”]This is the first half column[/column] is the second half column[/column]”
“[column width=”1/2”]This is the first half column[/column]” “[column width=”1/2”]This is the second half column[/column]”
Trying to insert into body of page in the “Custom Content” box.
If you are using one of the newer versions of the theme (greater than v2.0.0) you won’t be able to use those shortcodes as it has been removed from the theme as now it’s based on a different html framework (bootstrap 3).
Please try to use plain html code in the content fields instead of using shortcodes.

Hi Ben. The theme doesn’t include a built-in purchasing feature by default, as it is basically a landing page theme in the marketing category (designed to showcase & advertise ebooks) not an entire book webstore theme.
Despite of this, you can always redirect your visitors (with custom links) pointing at separate PayPal pages created for each ebook chapters you would like to sell individually.

Sure, you can have as many separate landing pages (for different ebooks maybe) as you need so, it’s pretty easy to get done since a custom Page Builder has been integrated in the theme. Cheers, Erik
