1. Slate comes with a theme option to enable post read times within the post-list and the post page.
2. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee compatibility with third-party plugins. If a plugin doesn’t require specific theme implementation there should not be any issues with its use.

This can be done via the WordPress Sticky Post feature. Within your ‘Edit Post’ page, under the ‘Publish’ -> ‘Visibility’ dropdown you can choose to stick the current post to the top of the page.

Is there an option to change the color of the header background when it is in full width/mobile mode? So instead of black, I’d like to use a deep purple.

After creating your translation files you can change the default language via ‘WordPress Dashboard’ -> ‘Settings’ -> ‘General’ -> ‘Site Language’.

Hi there – I’m having trouble embedding posts (like from Facebook or Instagram) – I post it using the text editor, but it appears the theme tries to render it like a different form of content than putting it into a container. Any idea why this may be?

I instaled Slate in http://ux.marszalkowski.org and i put logo in to the sidebar through HTML widget. And it acting strangely on webpages. I add link from logo to the main website url (you can see it in source mode in browser in every sub pages), but when i click link in the logo he only refreshing, don’t changing my directory.

If you wish to add your blog logo to the sidebar we recommend using the included ‘Ecko Blog Info’ widget, as this is pre-configured for you. You can then customize the logo/branding via the WordPress customizer under the ‘Branding’ section. If the issue persists, please create a new ticket on our support site.
Alright then. How can i add a short description under logo like in your template?
This can also be modified via the theme customizer under ‘General’ -> ‘Blog Profile Description’. If you have any further queries, please create a new ticket on our support site.
And last thing, i have problem with Google fonts. Everything look alright in Chrome but IE & FF browsers loosing polish characters. You can see it here: http://ux.marszalkowski.org/email-marketing-ux/

This is possible with the themes customizer options, you can choose from hidden, left and right sidebar layouts.

Although Slate doesn’t offer an ‘Audio’ post format, you can still embed audio and video players within the post contents, using the provided embed code by the service used (e.g. youtube, soundcloud ect.)
Hello guys,
My client bought this theme and I’m having trouble getting the Ecko Twitter widget to work. I added his username and generated the api and tokens with no issue. However, after placing the widget on the sidebar nothing shows up. We’ve tried re-generating the api and tokens and still nothing. Is there something I am missing?

You’re right! Maybe I just had to wait a little. Another quick question. Is there a way to shift the logo to the left? Even with a little css?
