Hello, Actually, we have the theme Mad; We use custom post (=review=mini site). We want to migrate to Steam or Explicit. How is the migration to Explicit ? Is it automatic ? I have already read this link : http://www.industrialthemes.com/explicit/support/documentation/#migrating and in the step 10 : Go to Theme Options and create all of your previous Details and Rating Criteria What do you mean by “your previous detail” ? And these “previous details” are they automatically include in the Explicit Them ? (= i mean without having open all the post one by one ? Thank for you great work.
There definitely will be some work involved on your part to migrate the site. It won’t all come over automatically. All of the data will always be stored in the post meta and not be deleted, it will just be a matter of linking it all back up by filling out the theme options. If you want to create a copy of your site and do some testing first, let me know by sending me an email: support@industrialthemes.com

hi, grt theme! would be great if 1. one could use font icons (e.g. font awesome) as icons for minisites. 2. one could use font icons instead of featured images for articles in minisites. 3. the ratings at directory lists would have the beautiful mouseover tooltip as e.g. the heart, likes etc. have as well.
these are all not possible right now, right? or am i missing some quick tweak?

1) That’s a great idea, something I might add in a future update. 2) Another cool idea I hadn’t thought of yet. 3) None of these are actually possible out of the box, but you could always do customizations to the theme to get it working how you want it.

Hello! I would like to know what php version that the theme options work. Is that updated the php my server to 5.6.21 and theme options are not saving. It is loading forever and not saved.

Hi. So I still can not save the changes in the theme options. I update pro php 7 and I made the recommended changes. I think to renew the support ($ 41 is expensive compared to the price of other themes of industrial). My question is if there is an update scheduled to work or if I buy the explicit theme, it will work properly with these versions? Before i purchase can i add another category for music reviews since we have only gadgets,movies and games and also i want to build a mobile app that will receive JSON from this theme is that possible with this theme. Do you have the HTML version of the Steam theme. Thank you

I haven’t personally tested with it but I have heard users say they use it with the theme.

1) Will the woocommerce work with WC Vendors plugin? 2) In the demo, there is no right sidebar or blog type posts (One post summary below the other ie. List view). Will these be possible to have? 3) Can the user upload a products for others to rate from the front end? If not do you have a plugin for that?

3) Not from the front-end, only the back-end. If you wanted to allow front-end publishing you’d need to add a plugin.
4) Yes, you can have it show only user reviews and not editor reviews.
For Q3 could you tell us which of your plugins to use? Or any other plugin.
I have heard users say that they have used Gravity Forms for this. I believe that is a viable option.
A little confusion. This theme Steam and Flavor seem to be identical in functions. Is this correct? We like the Steam theme and we like the review/ratings system in Flavor. Will we be able to put all the ratings in the side bar like the Flavor them? Also on the Highest Rated Page, can we have more than 3 columns even if they wrap? Thank you.
They are on similar frameworks, but they differ in placement and layouts. Steam has additional functionality for page builder layouts, but yes they are for all intensive purposes very similar themes functionality wise.
pre purchase question.. i’ve used Continuum for more than 4 yrs and very happy with it, hoping for a similar satisfaction with one of your new magazine themes.. this one, the elements on the front page in the live demo- can they be shuffled around into a different order? for example can the slider be first and some of the grid moved higher up the page, with the other elements below? or is it locked into that order of elements? thanks.

Hi, this theme looks great and I believe it will be suitable for my site, but I just wanted to check a couple of things:
(1) Is it possible to change the Ajax Post Loop so that it defaults to Highest Rated instead of Latest?
(2) Is it easy to change the number of posts appearing in the Ajax Post Loop?

After i have updated to the last version of the theme and when i went to the the minisite categories I received a message of parsererror in browser.
I have did all of this:
- turned on? mod_security?
- verified that style is located in …/wp-content/themes/steam/style.css?
- verified that all minisite have taxonomies
?Please tell me what more can I do to fix this

I’m interest with your product I plan to create a Review Site with Function :
A) For ADMIN 1) Can Create Any Category and Set Default Review Points sample is Admin Create Audi from Category HOME>CAR>AUDI and Put default Points for Rate and Review like HANDLING,PRICING,SUPPORT
2) Can Put Default Information for each Post, sample post about Nokia 925, will be show as table for information about Spec of that devices above on Rate and Review
3) On each Post have option to put Prices table and this prices information will show Prices based on Member who gave informatiion about latest price of the each post/product.
4) Can Invite Any Customers From All Social Media (FB,Twitter,Linkedin,etc) to give a review on specific page
For REGISTERED CUSTOMERS
1) Can SIGN UP with any Social Media
2) Have option to send url from Review Site to Social Media when they put a review on our site.
3) Allow them to give Rating and Review Word on each page that Admin already created like on Audi Page.
4) Allow them to request new Category.
5) Each Review they give or submit can receive like/dislike rating from any member including free member.
6) Can send message between member (private message)
C) For Free CUSTOMERS 1) Can give like or dislike from each review from register member
D) For SITE BEHAVIOUR 1) Will make Auto Post/Review Head to Head or Versus between each Post on same Category, sample is if we have Post Audi and BMW, so when any visitor search Audi vs BMW on search engine,it will show BMW vs Audi head to head on our site. 2) Support for Compare up to 5 Post and easy to drag and drop each items post (not just 2) 3) Show Most Famous Post Category and Top Review Person. 4) Send Notification to Each Member when they on top of most Like Review. 5) Advance Search – will show many option for it so any visitor can search with many setting like prices or else
If some function not available please tell me which one is already have and which one is not and can you do custom work or at least tell me what i should do or combine any plugins ?

This theme can do all of the necessary functionality except the comparison feature. You’d have to use a plugin for that, or look at one of our newer themes like Engine or Techwise which come with built-in comparison features.
Also you’d need to look at a plugin for some of the registered customer functionality – perhaps BuddyPress?
This is basically the same answer for our other two themes (Flavor and Made) that you asked about as well.

Yes absolutely, this theme would work very well with a travel niche site. As far as which specific theme to choose, I would recommend Flavor/Steam over Made since Made is an older framework. Whichever design you like better between Flavor and Steam should be your deciding factor, they are both great themes and have the same feature set. We aren’t able to do custom theme work at this time unfortunately, but we can definitely help you with support on the theme.
