Hallo I would like to ask you why i can’t set up the dimension for a single image in a visual-composer? And.. i don’t see any grid element feature inside the window of visual composer maybe you have hidden this by code?

Hello,
This theme includes the certain sizes that defined from the theme. If you’d like to display in another size please choose Full Size that will display the original size of your image.
Also, some elements including the custom grid element from Visual Composer have been disabled in this theme since they’re not compatible with the AJAX Page feature in this theme. Please use the existing elements instead.

Is it possible this theme may have malware in it?
What makes you think so? We’ve created all files from scratch, the theme includes PHP, JS, CSS and image files that is basically for WordPress Theme. If you see any other files such as EXE files that means your theme file is infected with a malware from somewhere. You should download a fresh copy from ThemeForest to replace it on your host.
I would like a refund ASAP! The theme’s are no loading and missing pictures/videos… I’ve been trying to fix it for 3 weeks now, and 4 other professionals said there is something wrong with the theme….
I have screenshots of everything not working… I need my money back and or a credit to the account so I can buy another theme…
We’re sorry but this theme can work as described and all features are working on our demo sites and over 1,000+ of customer sites are running on this theme.
We’re not quite clear on your problem but if you can’t import demo content, you should reset your site by using WordPress Reset plugin as we provided in the documentation before importing it again.
If it still doesn’t work, maybe your site is suffering from PHP configuration limits that are set too low to complete the process. You should contact your web host and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as follows:
max_execution_time 600 memory_limit 128M post_max_size 32M upload_max_filesize 32M
However, all images viewed in the live preview are for demo purposes only and are not included with your purchase. So after you import demo content you won’t see those images but you need to add your images manually to replace them.
Also, you can send us any screenshots of this issue or your site URL so our developers will investigate this issue and help you out.

Parallax works if wp super cache plugin is off, but that’s an important plugin for load speed, any recommended plugin that will work with vela and load pages fast? 2. Parallax does not work with firefox or chrome, it only works with MS edge, any idea why? 3. Page loader animation becomes the site’s thumbnail on other sites like Alexa.com, any way to make the actual page become the thumbnail without turning off preload animation? 4. 1. Try W3 Total Cache ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/ ) instead.
2. We’ve tried many times on our demo sites and this feature is working fine. Please try to edit the row again, choose Parallax for Background Parallax option and save changes.
3. Some websites display the screenshot as a thumbnail instead of displaying the image from metadata (open graph). Don’t worry, it won’t affect SEO purposes. However, if you’d like to show the actual page as the thumbnail you need to hide the preload animation on your website.
4. Try adding the custom CSS below to Theme Options -> Advanced -> Head Content to hide the preload image:

If you’re talking about installing the theme by uploading zip file to WordPress, make sure you upload the correct installable WordPress theme Vela.zip.
If you’re updating the theme, you need to delete the old Vela theme from your site before uploading a new one.
If you can’t install or update the theme via WordPress admin, try it via FTP or File Manager on your host instead.

Hi, I’m new at this so apologies in advance for the dumb questions. I’m trying to make my page look exactly like the one-page portfolio. Installed the Demo for that template, thinking I could just click the areas to replace with my own images/text. However:
1) I am getting an empty white space to the left of the “A Few Words About Me”, I don’t know how to add an image there 2) Same thing with the area to the right of “Ajax Search”, “One Page Option”—how to put an image there? 3) I installed the Revolution Slider but am getting an “Slider with alias not found”—not sure if that’s the one I need to make it function like the Demo? Is there a library of generic video that I can use or would I have to upload my own? 4) Primary menu: How do I replace “Vela” or get rid of it totally? 5) Is there a way to get support without posting my questions as a comment?

I have a problem concerning HTML tables used in the VELA theme. I can’t get the table border invisible – neither with HTML nor with CSS coding. It’s easy, I implemented a Contact Form 7 and built it as a table so that the descritions are on the left and the fields are on the right. But there is always that border, no matter what I’m doing. How can I fix this?

This theme set the border style to HTML tables by default. Try adding style attribute to your table as below:

There is a bug in the template. In the portfolio page in the one-page-site the image size is 1170×599 but the source image is 1024x so it always make the image “stretched”
When you choose the first layout for portfolio post, it will stretch the featured image to full the content width. Try editing your portfolio post and change the Layout option in Portfolio Options to “Medium” (3rd option).
But doing so there is no slider and all images are one under the other. To be honest that doesn’t cover the original problem either. Using the first Portfolio Options it should use the original image uploaded so that we can provide a 1170×600 image that would look crisp
We’re sorry, we will increase the size of featured image that displays on the first portfolio layout in our next update so you can upload and show the bigger one without stretching.

Navigate to your Downloads page on ThemeForest and download a new copy of this theme. Delete your old theme from your site in Appearance -> Themes and upload a new one.
Also, if you’ve cPanel and can access File Manager on your host, you can upload a new Vela.zip to “wp-content/themes/”, delete the old theme folder “Vela” and extract “Vela.zip” so you will have a new “Vela” theme folder.

Hi, in every portfolio item page of your demo vela 4 (http://wydethemes.com/vela4/portfolio-item/portfolio-item-12-2/) in the menu above the menu item „Home“ is shown as the page where I stay and not „Works“.
I realize a website for a client (http://www.hirschmuellerschmidt.de/) with your nice theme and there is the same problem: navigating to a portfolio-item page (for example http://www.hirschmuellerschmidt.de/portfolio-item/neubau-bessunger-logen/) instead of the right menu item „Wohnen“ the menu item „Start“ is highlighted. Which code can I add to correct this and where?
Second question: If I stay in a portfolio-item page (for example http://www.hirschmuellerschmidt.de/portfolio-item/neubau-bessunger-logen/) and click on „Next Project (Nächstes Projekt)“ the next portfolio-item is shown, but also portfolio-items with another portfolio category. I would like to navigate in the portfolio-items only in one portfolio category (here for example „Wohnen“). If I click on „Next or previous Project“ only the portfolio items of the category are shown. Which code can I add to realize this and where?

Actually, WordPress will highlight the menu item where you’re on its own page or post. Otherwise, it won’t.
For example, if you’ve added a portfolio post to your menus so this item and its parent menu will be highlighted when you visit this post. If not so the first menu item has been selected instead since WordPress never know which menu item is a portfolio page that corresponds to this post.
In order to highlight your Works page when you visit any portfolio post, you need to add your custom JavaScript below to Theme Options -> Advanced -> Body Content:

Regarding the related posts in portfolio single post page, this box will display the posts from the same category or the same skill. So if don’t want any items in another category, you should select the different skill for those posts.

The javascript-code for highlighting the works page works fine, but we have four portfolio categories which are also menu items: WOHNEN, KULTUR/KIRCHEN, BILDUNG and GEWERBE. So, if i’m visiting a portfolio post with the portfolio category WOHNEN it would be great if the menu above highlights WOHNEN, if i visit a portfolio post with the portfolio category BILDUNG the menu should highlight the menu item BILDUNG. Maybe changing the javascript code to something like this:

Sorry, my client is asking for another problem: visiting the homepage http://www.hirschmuellerschmidt.de and clicking then on a menu item, for example BILDUNG, the page is scrolling down, but not exactly to the start of #bildung. I have to click a second time on the menu item BILDUNG and now the page scrolls at the right point, the beginning of #bildung. I notice the same behavior on your website http://wydethemes.com/vela4/. How can I fix this? Thanks for your help.
For the menu highlight, JavaScript couldn’t solve this issue. The previous code detect the portfolio post page from URL (portfolio-item) but it can’t for portfolio category since the URL has no category name at all.
Regarding the scrolling issue, we’ve received some reports with this issue and this issue will be fixed in the next update.

Regarding the menu highlight, I have another idea. Each portfolio item has a post-id. Maybe with javascript I could say if the post has a specific post-id add the class „active“ to the menu-item 15691, for example if the single-portfolio is postid-15528 add for #menu-item-15692 the class „active“. Could this be a solution? The problem is that I don’t know javascript well and I don’t know how to write this.

I recently bought your great theme named Vela.
Today I tried to install the most recent update 1.8.2 but I’m having issues with updating Visual Composer. After updating the theme a notification (The following plugin needs to be updated to its latest version to ensure maximum compatibility with this theme: WPBakery Visual Composer.) is shown that Visual Composer needs to be updated. When I try to update (by clicking “Begin updating plugin”) it says “To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your Visual Composer.” I do not have a license because it’s mentioned in the theme info that it’s included in the theme. What can I do to fix this?
I’m also having problems with the share(daddy) buttons. When I click on the e-mail button the circling indicator seems to keep on going forever but no e-mail is sent. Could this be something theme related?

We’re sorry but there is an issue with Visual Composer 4.9, if you’ve this one and couldn’t update to 4.9.2, you need to delete this plugin from your site first.
Go to Plugins section, deactivate and delete this plugin. After you delete this plugin, you will see a notification message at the top of the page. Click on “Begin Installing Plugins” to install a new one that came bundled with the theme.
Regarding the sharedaddy buttons, if this plugin send an email via AJAX, maybe it’s not compatible with AJAX Page feature from the theme. Try turning off AJAX Page Transitions option in Theme Options -> Page -> AJAX Options.

I am building a website with your theme, where I am using a dark background. Every time I am going to a new page, the loading page pops up for a second, that is completely white. And it looks like a white flash,at every page click and is a really disturbing sight.
Please help. I do not want to change the dark theme of my pages, I would really appreciate a solution for this. Even third party solutions.

Hi Wyde, i have a little complain to adress you. You say that your theme is SEO oriented and optimize.
But i experience a few issue on the SEO side, that you can hopefully improve soon :
1- I install seo by Yoast, and since you name the catégories of all taximonies the same, it’s really hard to get the plugin set up : https://www.dropbox.com/s/6ud6695gtdxbld2/Capture%20d%27%C3%A9cran%202016-02-04%2018.11.33.jpg?dl=0
2- Why not all your files are not minify by default ? Since there are many files it could limit the numbers of errors by minifications.
3- VC is creating some W3C errors when you use html minify, so you cant activate this option anymore too.
4- Some options to disable entirely some of the taxominies could be good.

Make sure you’ve optimized all background images on your site. All background images including on sliders will display the original size of image so when you upload the large image size, it can take a long time to download. You can turn off Preload Images option in Theme Options -> Page -> Page Options so it won’t wait for all images are loaded before displaying the page.
Also, you can try W3 Total Cache plugin ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/ ), it can improve your server performance and reduce the download times.

One Page site displays the page content from the primary menu. Make sure you’ve setup the primary menu and these menu items are displaying in the header menu. If not so please setup your menu in Appearance -> Menus, select Menu Locations tab and choose your menu for Primary Navigation.

Hey guys.. First let me congratulate you on the awesome success of you themes! Well done! Second, as a long time WordPress web designer I encounter the same problem with almost every theme: missing translation for my client’s language. Since English is no longer the only language of the Internet, I bet you’ll have an even greater success with your themes if you include translations at least for the most common languages. Think about it! If you like the idea, I can provide you with translations for French, Italian and Spanish languages at a fair price. What do you think?

I know most of the themes provide the .po files for translation but I can tell you from experience that customers that come to me for a website don’t want to pay an extra fee for translating the theme’s interface and since most of them don’t speak English I have to do it on my own cost and time, otherwise I can loose the client. So when I have to buy a theme I always look for one with translations included.
