Yes, a default post template can be set from theme’s panel in these conditions: http://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-default-post-templates/

The sidebar can be also set from the panel here: http://screencast.com/t/SkyQpF0G but it will get overwritten by the one you set for posts’s category and in this cases you will have to set it from posts’s editor.

Yes we know about this behavior for the megamenu, but this is how the menu navigation was designed. Unfortunately I cannot provide a date when it will be implemented, but I assure you that we will change the navigation system for the theme.

I think that this is not related to the SEO Friendly Images plugin…it is related to Platinum SEO Pack which I guess it was abandoned by the author as it was not updated from 2 years – http://screencast.com/t/af01WB6WaqIs I suggest to replace it with Yoast SEO plugin…it should not be any issues as we also use it on our live demo and it is tested with the theme.

Please clear all the caches to make sure that it is not a caching issue as if you change the featured image also the thumb from modules should be replaced. If the issue persist please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide more details and your site url so we can inspect this. Also paste a link to this ticket.

The theme is compatible on IE 10 and 11 and should be no issues, please provide your site url via email so we can also check and make sure you check this without any plugins active except Visual Composer, clear cache(also the browser cache) and see if the issue persist. Also make sure you use the latest theme version 2.3.5 and all the plugins provided with it are up to date.

The theme ad system was designed for adsense code and we didn’t experimented with Google DFP, so we cannot offer any advice, sorry! However you could try to use your dfp ad codes using a plugin and place them to theme’s spots using shortcodes(the ad spots handles also shortcodes). We also plan to investigate this area in the future but i cannot provide a date for it and i’m not sure if we will implement something related in our products.

You can add more tagdiv blocks with thumbnails to the sidebar if this is what you mean. The live demo is just for presentation, you can create/customize the sidebar like you wish. Thank you for your help. Yes, I was looking to replicate the sidebar in the Newspaper Demo, with the large ‘Must Read’ post image, and add thumbnails etc.

We use block 1 there which is present also in Newsmag theme – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/block-1/ Not all blocks from Newspaper theme are present also in Newsmag and/or maybe they haven’t the similar design, but you can check each live demo for example you can check Features menu item to make an idea about blocks, modules..present and how they look – http://screencast.com/t/eOn4oJtq4i Also you can check the theme’s documentation for some backend settings – http://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-newsmag-documentation/

Here you can add the target blank attribute so the article will open in a new tab – http://screencast.com/t/pQ4GMbykz and also if you want the change this behavior when the user clicks on module thumb you can add it also here – http://screencast.com/t/RMLQ6lnj Please note that this change will affect all the modules(it will be applied on all templates..not only frontpage) and if you want a different implementation you will need to duplicate these functions and create condition to have this behavior only for frontpage, I suggest to get someone to help you if you need this kind on implementation as we don’t provide custom services.

Please check this about smart sidebar – http://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-smart-sidebar/ and make sure it is activate from Theme Panel and for pages you will need to use td-ss-row class on row like it is specified in the documentation.

If the issue persist please disable all you plugins except Visual Composer, clear all the caches and see if it works. Also you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide your site url so we can take a look and paste a link to this ticket.

After you have update the theme please update also the child theme as we changed the system from version 2.0, you can find it in /code folder – http://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
