You’ll need to run the builder.html file from the variant folder in your download package – you don’t need to run the builder from our website, that is for demo only

Were they created with different applications in mind, or are they iterations of the same project?

They essentially offer slightly different looks – so the one people use generally depends on their aesthetic requirements. Having said that, Foundry does have extra features such as modals and notifications so its functionality is more advanced than the other two.

Hi – I built a page using Variant, and chose the boxed layout. My problem is that I can’t seem to get rid of the solid gray background. I’m trying to use a full-screen background image – I added the image to the ‘body’ in the custom.css file, but it’s not showing. How can I easily edit or add a background image to the boxed version? I’ve managed to increase the SIZE of my tiny logo by changing the max-height to 90 px instead of this in the theme.css and theme-budda.css
.centered-logo .logo {
max-width: 800px;
max-height: 50px;
HOWEVER, now all my in-page-links from the menu to the #anchor are off by 40 pixels… where can I change that? here is a picture of a typical in-page-link
Okay I think i found it by changing the padding-top from 80 to 120
section { padding-top: 120px; padding-bottom: 80px; position: relative; overflow: hidden;

(ex: I liked almost everything in your pivot builder but i want to use a header of the foundry builder)
Hello, ufortunately not – our items are customised to use flexslider only. Also, each of our items are individual and cannot be combined without significant modification due to CSS incompatibilities.
Hi, I have purchased the template but the variant builder does not appear to be working properly. I only have grey panels on left hand side and when I click to get html pop up window appears saying Demo Only. Can you explain please. Thanks

Thanks for purchasing Pivot!
You need to open builder.html from the variant folder in the download package. You don’t need to use the builder from our server – you just run it from your own machine

1 – Is it possible to align the menu to the right? I’m using the Overlay Bar Header on the One Page template. It’s currently sitting next to the logo.
2 – Can I customise the colour of the buttons in my header/hero image? All are currently white, I don’t want them to be my secondary colour as it’s too dark. But maybe my primary colour which is bright orange!

Yes, these types of changes can be made in your custom.css file and will take effect in Variant if you update the custom.css file in the Variant folder too. This cannot be done inside Variant though.

No, your exported file will only include the page you made. CSS and images are all dependent on the files you have on your PC. You get these files from the purchased package.

Yes, Variant is designed to run locally on your own machine. Only Medium Rare templates use the Variant Page Builder, so you must purchase a Medium Rare template to have the Variant Builder included. You will only need admin templates if you have control panel pages to make. If you are making a simple website for advertising purposes you won’t need those.

The WooCommerce functionality is limited to the WordPress version of Pivot. Given this is HTML, there is no E-Commerce capability built-in.
