Hi Guys – Love the theme – it’s stunning! I’m struggling to change the font size of the text which will appear on the nectar slider when viewed on a mobile. Currently very small, making it hard for users to see. Any ideas on how to go about that?

Yeah, i think i am (bear in mind i have zero web coding experience, i’m relying on Wikipedia to tell me what an accordion element is) but yeah, i’m fairly certain the expandable nectar panels classify as accordion elements.

Hey – the Salient VC plugin only exists in 4.9.2 as of now – the update for 4.10 will be out tomorrow, the only way to use that version now prior to the Salient update would be to use the raw VC.

I inherited a site with this theme and recently purchased a license so I could keep up with updates. The header has an image on it but the client wants to add a phone number in the header area and I can’t see a way to do that. I do see a “top bar” area above the header that contains the social icons but no way to put anything in there. I looked for a users guide/manual but couldn’t find one. Is there a way to do this?

Items can be added to the secondary header via menu items in appearances > menus. A Phone number could be a custom link with an href value of ”#”

I have no idea how to do that, even though I’ve been creating WP sites for 3 years. I wound up using the pseudo elements ::before and ::after in my child theme:
ul#social::after {...} at full size a#toggle-nav::before {...} at mobile size under a media query breakpoint.
Worked well, although I guess I’m surprised that there is no simple way to add a text/phone number into the header or top bar with theme options.

Strange issue. The “hamburger” icon on mobile (both Safari and Chrome) is an actual hamburger emoji. Next to it is a call to action button that looks like a smiley face with hearts for eyes. Any idea why this is happening or how to fix it?

I’ve converted a Flash banner (swf) through Google’s Swiffy to output an HTML file. But I can’t figure out how to embed this HTML file and the theme won’t let me upload the file as Media. Is there any way this can be accomplished? Thank you!
Or is there a way to link to an HTML5 file on a different server and have that show as an animation? I’m just not sure how to call that file. Thanks!
I am dealing with an issue that causes broken arrangementes when the site (http://www.quaestio.org) is accessed without Wordpress logged. I have already re-saved all the theme settings after updating, but it did not solve the problem. I cleared the browser’s caches and stopped using W3 Total Cache and Cloudflare for sometiime now. When I log iinto the admin account, everything runs fine. Do you know what can I do to solve this kind of problem?

I think it is related with the last updates, since I only realize it after the last one.
Before re-saving, the arrangements and settings were different from one browser to another, but after doing it, all are sync with the same problem mentioned earlier.

I finally managed to restore the arrangement for unlogged users.
I had to reset, not only resave, Salient settings in order to ?solve this issue.
I also caught the opportunity to upgrade some features of my website with new and unused Salient features.

Salient VC has yet, Another update that can’t easily be done by the Update Plugins menu on WP.
Extremely frustrating that every other day there’s a update for this theme.
Don’t get me wrong. .. I LOVE this theme . . . But I loathe the updating process especially when updating requires something other than the bulk actions menu in wordpress’s dashboard which should be able to handle your theme considering that they’re suppose to be completely compatible with each other.
This infuriates me as now I have to spend an hour trouble shooting like I have been to figure out why your theme just never plays nice with wordpress’s back end… . . Never. And I have been a user of this theme for 2 years now. . . . And I’m super fed up because I’ve spent an innumerable amount of hours troubleshooting during that time for things that have dedicated buttons in the dashboard. . . .
So, what secret menu or drag and drop jimmy rig alternative method can I use to update my theme so I can work on my site without seeing an update prompt every time I want to add something to my site.? .
It’s really seriously frustrating that 1 out of 3 posts I make on my website involve seeing an update prompt which makes me have to then update my site which is extremely time consuming considering I should be working right now instead of writing to this forum about an update feature that should be a click or 2 away. Not an error messga e that says. . .

1. You can update from the dashboard using the Envato toolkit plugin. However, like I stated in your last query, that would only be possible if you stopped using the child theme you are since you have file mods inside of the header.php that would require updating each time that file gets changed in new versions. If you got rid of your file mods then updating would require no tinkering
2. The last update for the theme was February 4th – any other updates you’ve seen since then for plugins are completely unrelated to Salient itself except for the recent notification for Visual Composer. VC recently added in a new feature to alert users of updates of the main, non theme related plugin. However if you wanted that update before it’s made available in the Salient version (which you’ll get an email for) it would require purchasing it separately. There’s no need to do that and it wouldn’t be recommended though.
Hi, is there a way to add a button on the front page nectar slider? Right now, I’m using the HTML 5 App on my frontpage, but I’d like to switch to a static image and have a button to take people somewhere. I’ve tried several things, including pasting the button shortcode in it, can’t seem to get it to work. Thank you!

The Nectar Slider offers two optional buttons per slide by default but if you needed a custom button you should be able to get it to display via entering it in the caption field – if that’s not working for you please open a ticket in regards with your admin credentials so I can take a look at what’s going on themenectar.ticksy.com/

1- Can I disable the blue transition from the video to the next page when you do scroll on your mouse? Can I configure it as a normal scroll without that movement (transition)?
2- If possible, can we display the menu, instead of be hide in side area? What I mean is that I like to open with a full screen video or photo option or both (is it possible?) but I like some parts of your demo called creative modern…
