Hi,

How can I edit the Commercegurus Logos module? I would like to eliminate the logos border, change the width and height of them and when you click on them you would see the big image.

Thanks,

Hi there!

To eliminate the border can be done easily with some custom css – if you drop me an email to support@commercegurus.com and reference this comment we’ll hook you up :)

Re: width and height – that can also be changed with some custom code – but changing the functionality to show a larger one when clicked would require changing how the plugin fundamentally works – for which you’d need to fork your own version I think.

Love the look of this theme. Can you tell me what font is used on the menu and headings?

Hi there – It’s Roboto Condensed.

Hi. How can I get the individual solutions pages to each have their own unique left side nav, instead of them all having the same one? Thanks

Hey there!

The sidebar is a widget area – to create new widgets areas and associate them with individual pages you’d need a plugin. WooSidebars should be able to achieve this – be sure to read its documentation. https://www.woothemes.com/woosidebars/

Hello commercegurus :) Really great theme to work with so thanks :) However I do have an issue, after migrating my site from localhost to my live server, I noticed VC is not working in the Backend Editor for any pages. Its enabled and was working prior to moving the site, but wondering if you would have a moment to log into my site and have a quick look? Where would I send my credentials? Thanks so much for the always awesome support :)

Hi there,

thanks!

Just replied to your email.

Colm

Thanks so much :) Awesome support as always, your suggestions and advice is much appreciated !;)

No problem! It’s always a pleasure helping customers like you :)

To the right of the logo- it looks like you have 2 areas- 1 for search and 1 for three Promo text items… I am interested in placing a 728×90 ad there for my site- instead of those 2 items. Would this be possible with this theme? Through use of widgets? or would it require custom code?

Hi there,

I think you’d need some custom coding – the header is very intricate when you consider responsive viewports so there’s a lot more going on there than you see at first glance on a desktop.

You would probably need to create a custom header.php in a child theme and remove some markup and add some custom css to different breakpoints. Not difficult but definitely would need some custom code to be 100% perfect.

Hello, we want to install the theme in our subdomain while creating the website. After that, when the customer is happy with it, we want to move it to his server.

How can we do it? We bought the theme already.

Where can we get the api-code for the installation on the server? And where do we get the new code, when we move to the customers server?

Regards,

Thao Duong-Cordsen

Hi there Thao,

You don’t need any codes for what you’re describing. A single purchase code is sufficient to cover this scenario and the code doesn’t need to be entered anywhere – just setup your staging site and copy it live at the right time. For that process itself there are many ways to do this – all of which are independent of the theme purchase.

I would recommend you use a host that provides a staging site capability to make this process straightforward – like Siteground – http://www.commercegurus.com/supsiteground

If you’re stuck with some other host there are tons of tutorials online about how to move a site live. I personally like the Duplicator plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

Is it possible to have different “solutions” showing in different pages? Maybe by breaking them up into categories or similar? Also, is it possible to show a gallery of images on the individual solutions pages?

Hi there,

the solutions are just static pages linking to other static pages. So yes you can do what you’re describing but it’s not a custom post type/taxonomy/category setup – you’d need to do it manually.

You can add a gallery of images to solutions page via Visual Composer :)

Colm

OK great that sounds perfect.

The slider is included in the price? has the configuration map google ?

Hi there,

re: slider – yes :) re: google map – yes – via Visual Composer :)

Hi ! Please advise how to add a custom font and make it available for selection in the Theme Options menu? Thank you in advance.

Hi Alex

The Theme Options uses the Redux Framework plugin. There used to be an extension for this to allow for custom fonts to be added but it doesn’t appear to be still available – https://docs.reduxframework.com/extensions/custom-fonts/

If you get in touch with Redux they might have an estimate if/when it will be available again.

Simon

Thanks for your quick reply. Could you give guidance how to bypass this plugin and use custom fonts? Even the hard way – by means of editing php files?

Hi Alex – It’d be best to just look up tutorials on adding custom fonts to WordPress – some like this one perhaps – http://wpsites.net/web-design/fonts-wordpress/

You won’t be able to include it with the Theme Options – you’ll need to reference them directly in a css stylesheet, preferably in a child theme. You’d also have to ensure no font is referenced in the Theme Options – set them all to be blank so that they don’t overwrite your css.

Is this template WPML ready?

Hi there! Yes it is :)

my theme has “responsive mode: enabled” in the theme settings but on any mobile device it is not showing the responsive mode – it just looks like the normal website only smaller – hard to read.

Hi there,

If you update to the latest version of the theme that issue is resolved.

Hi, Layerslider license code will show you have reach the maximimum number of installations. Also I can’t import demo slider. Any idea? thanks

Hi Giorgio

You don’t need to enter any license code – we have a corporate version of the plugin – that’s only for people with an individual license.

Re: the demo slider import – you’ve tried our setup guide instructions? https://commercegurus.freshdesk.com/solution/articles/5000691011-setup-factory-install-guide

The occasional (rare) host doesn’t have the zip archive extension installed on the server – if that message comes up you’ll need to contact your hosting company.

Regards

Simon

No, I’ve it.

Hi there – I’m not sure what you mean – if you’re still having issues with the demo slider import send your site link and WordPress login to support@commercegurus.com and we’ll take a look.

Hi, i am trying to download the template but nothings happening. It’s not my computer or internet connection because I’m downloading other stuff fine.

Hi there – I’ve never seen this as an issue before. Perhaps try waiting 30 minutes and then use a different browser.

how can i change the horizontal animation bar color (currently yellow) that appears at the bottom of each navigational button in the header? I do not see an option for this in the theme admin.

Hey there

You can change it with a little bit of custom css. First install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/

Then within Appearance > Custom CSS add this:

.cg-primary-menu .menu > li:before { background: red; }

Change ‘red’ to your #hex. That should work.

thanks! worked like a charm =)

Hi, pre-sale questions:

1) WooCommerce feature included? I didn’t see it in the product description 2) Theme Updates – Is it via the Repository or FTP? 3) No Rev. Slider? I only see the Layer Slider.

Thanks!

Hey there – sure, Rev slider will work just fine also.

Great, I’ll show this to my Client and see what they say. Thank you for the quick response!

No problem :)

I have some skills of wordpress can I change your theme like this http://www.baxter.com/

Hi there – sorry that wouldn’t be possible.

Simon

Hi there, I purchased your Theme, but it`s not possible for me to change the Body/Main text font. I tried it in the Theme Options, but it did not work. Thanks for your help!

Hi there

The font should change if you’ve done this. Send on your WordPress link and login to support@commercegurus.com and I’ll check it out.

Hi,

Is it possible to remove the bar under the navigation on each page that has the title in it?

Thanks

Hey there!

You should have a ‘Show/Hide’ page title option when you edit a page. The homepage for example has no heading as it is set to be hidden.

If you don’t have that option you can add it via this method: https://commercegurus.freshdesk.com/solution/articles/12000002737-i-don-t-have-the-show-hide-title-option-on-a-page

Best

Simon

Thank you,

I did not have that option but after following the link you provided, I was about to get it.

Hi,

I removed the “Get a quote” page and now I want to add another page in the right part of the menu where the “Get a quote” link was. How can I add this link there?

Thanks.-

No problem! I wrote up a quick solution on using a custom menu icon here, hope that helps. https://commercegurus.freshdesk.com/solution/articles/12000003998-using-a-custom-menu-icon

Best

Simon

Thanks Simon!

The icon was overlapping the text, so I had to use this code:

.cg-primary-menu-below-wrapper .menu > li.custom-icon a:before { font-family: ‘Ionicons’; position: relative; font-weight: 300; margin-right: 5px; content: ”\f453”; }

Glad you solved it :)
