Hi, it seems you have new lines (pressed Enter) inserted between the columns. Please write them on one line and see if this fixes your problem.
Extra blank lines are not noticed. All healed installing the plugin Shortcodes Ultimate:)

There is no such native feature in the theme. You can contact a freelancer to implement such feature for you or contact us via thr Support tab of the theme if you want we to implement such paid feature for you.
Hello, is it possible to set up a 150 page book for full reading using this theme? Also, in such a case would there be an option to go directly to a certain page? For example if the reader left off on page 52, could he immediately select that page when he returns to the website at a later time? Thank you.

You can have as many apges as you like. However there is no option to go to a specific page. Such option could be implemented by a freelancer.

I am having troubles with receiving emails from the form. I have types the same email into Wordpress Settings section as well as on the theme settings. Mail doesnt come to junk or any other folder at all. What’s wrong?
It seems like your email server may not be configured properly. You can try setting up SMPT email with a plugin like this one – https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ Further contacting your hosting provider is recommended.

Unfortunately no. The license of the image doesn’t allow us to sell them.

Yes, you can have multiple books and Read/Buy buttons for each o them.
Hi Subsolar, I ran a test with few users on a website, and especially the older one struggled with the navigation, because of two things: 1. The menu is not visible on other pages than main page. 2. For some users it wasn’t even clear that the button works as a menu.
Please, let me know if it is possible: 1. Add menu to all pages (except of reading mode) 2. Add label to the menu icon. I will be very happy if at least one is possible… Thanks!
Hi, as can be seen from the demo before buying the theme, the menu is like that.
You can make changes to it in the header.php file (preferably by using the child theme) . If you don’t have the needed knowledge, we suggest you contacting a freelancer. Thank you for the understanding.

There are Downloads and Chapters custom post types.
Each Downlaods chapter is one book with a price (or no price if you don’t want to sell it)
Each Chapter is assigned to a book when edited.

My site runs on Wordpress 4.4.2 . Any idea what can cause the problem and how to solve it? I haven’t installed any plugins except of recommended one… I really need to change something in the styles… Thank you for answering.
Make sure you update to the latest Novela version, because there was a problem with the child theme. Now every change written n the ctyle.css file in the child theme will work.
Hi! Is there anyway to decrease the spacing between paragraphs within the theme? I do not see any way to add custom css, and I’m not sure what to add in the child theme css file to fix this. Thanks for any assistance.
There is a Custom CSS field (at the bottom) in Novela Options > General.
If you want to change the book paragraph, use:
.book-content p {
margin-bottom: 10px;
}
It may or may not work depending on the part that you want changed.
What I’m looking to do is tighten up the line spacing a bit on the hero section at the top of this site – http://dashwallace.com
Another question – is there anyway using the custom CSS function to use a background image at the top of each book chapter page (where it has Chapter One with the date underneath it, you can view those at the site above as well) rather than just a color?

Okay you lost me on change 120 with the ID of the image – you don’t mean the URL of the image, do you? I don’t think uploaded images are assigned ID numbers.
I tried changing 120 to the ID of the books chapters (when I hover over the Chapter in the Dashboard, it will show the ID in the bottom left of my browser) – but that changed nothing?

Oh, you can just set a featured image for the download and it will be displayed in the header.
There is no option to set a featured image in the chapter posting section

This will add a featured image in the single chapter Edit. This change will be added to the next version of Novela.
That did it BUT one more thing – the image has a dark overlay. Anyway to remove that?

One more thing, your URLS are not dynamic for different protocols. Meaning if I want to use HTTPS nothing is secure because HTTP is hard coded. Could you fix that?

Question: It seems that HTMLtag “ruby” can not work in frontpage>characters. Will you try to add the function? (In Japan, “ruby” tag is very important because many characters’ name have Kanji (Chinese character) and those are always difficult to pronounce.)

Hi, quick question – what are the customization options with novela? I like the theme, but I need to add testimonials, quotes and other ordinary things that are in themes. From the demo I feel the theme is sold “as is” with no builder, no shortcodes or anything. Am I wrong? In any case, peak in the backend (screenshot of wordpress editor, with home page opened is enough). Thanks for the answer!
Hi there, Novela includes Layout Builder. Here is a screenshot – http://i.imgur.com/jvLCDwg.jpg (some sections are collapsed here). And there is a Custom Section (the bottom one) where you can insert whatever content you like.

We’re finding that in select circumstances the theme is not supportive of various browsers. Specifically, issues are being noted in using the drop down side menu in iPad. It’s not functioning. Do you have an update on this? I noted a previous discussion talking about responsiveness among browsers and we’re now experiencing it 5 months later since that latest update for a “bug fix”. Do you know when this theme will be fully responsive for iPad and all iPhone browsers?

Do you have a solution or a work-around for blog images that don’t line up at the bottom? The sizes get mis-matched even though horizontal frames are used, so the bottom of the images isn’t a clean line across. Is there a specific size we need to edit them to so they are all consistently presented?
You can use images with equal sizes.
And what sizes does your theme need? See my original question.
You can use 600×600 square images.
Also – we’re using SEO Yoast and that plugin is indicating that there’s no content in the body copy. How can we still use the frontpage template and have good SEO when the plugins are indicating there’s no body copy or key words, headings, etc.? See below…
There are 0 words contained in the body copy. This is far too low and should be increased. The keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy, make sure the topic is clear immediately.
SEO Yoast has problems with custom fields in themes. This message shouldn’t worry you as it just doesn’t catches your content. The content exists for the search engines.
Do you have a suggestion for a different SEO plugin that works well with your theme?

“Read the book” feature not working. I emailed the author/theme designer and still no response after 48 hours. We have the shortcode installed on the hero image text, and the link functionality is dead. We have the books uploaded and chapters imported as well. What are we missing and why isn’t this working?
