Hi there, A few questions for you:
1 – I got an email that there’s an update for this theme. If I download the theme (again) – and re-upload it into WordPress, will I lose any of the customization I’ve done (nothing to the CSS or anything – just some color stuff).
2 – A few strange things happening… like, I don’t have a footer on my home page. Not sure why, I’ve got that I want the footer ON in the theme footer section.

1) No, you will not lose any of the theme options or page content;
2) Please make sure that the footer has content (widgets or the copyright info option). Also, on the page options panel make sure that you don’t have the option to “Hide Footer” active;

Hi Pirenko, Great theme! Would it be possible to make the menu sidebar somewhat narrower? It now is 122px. Would it be possible to bring it back to 80px? Also, my logo is a 10-letter word. Can I place a rotated img in the sidebar of about 230 px in width? Thanks for your answer

Yes, you can do all that. The theme has the option to adjust the logo bar width, the menu bar width and the sidebar width (and all these widths are independent from each other).

Very beautiful theme and nice techniques! The only pity is the distracting menubar on the left. Is it possible to make it transparent, so only the text is visible on top of the photo background and/or transparent in the top?

There’s no specific documentation about those effects. There are 5 or 6 available so feel free to test them and see which one suits you better.
About adding graphics inside a slide: yes, that is possible. When you are editing the slide you can add whatever content you want inside using Visual Composer.

You can have as many panels as you want. If you have too many panels some arrows appear on the sides so that you can move on to the next section like here http://pirenko-themes.com/verve/
At this moment, the maximum number of visible panels (panels that are on your screen) is 5. We can increase it to 6 if you need it, but keep in mind that there will be very few space for the text.
So, if you have 6 sections, maybe you can have 3 visible on screen and have an arrow on the sides to see the others.
Let us know if you buy the theme and need help or if you want us to add the option to have 6 panels visible on screen.

Now I have maybe a silly question, I’m trying to add a solid background to every page. I’m in Customise / General on the pattern section but I can’t select anything.

To add more images place them inside wp-content/themes/verve/images/patterns/

Hi Pirenko, I purchased this theme here at Themeforest, and I’m pretty happy – so far it looks like I have 2 websites that will utilize it immediately. I have dug through the (very decent) documentation, and have only one issue, which is the different Portfolio grid sizes. I cannot figure out how to add some room in the sides, without adding room in between the individual items. It is just too big. Any advice? Many thanks.

Hi, when the website is viewed on small or mobile devices the menu button reveals no menu! Any idea why? or how to fix this?
Also, on one of the demo pages there is an ‘i’ symbol just above the ‘full-screen’ button on the menu bar. How can i get and use this?

1) That is because the theme has a custom location for the mobile menu. This is because you may want to have a different menu on mobile. To add a menu on mobile mode please go to Appearance>Menus>Manage Locations;
2) That is the hidden sidebar… Please go to Appearance>Theme Options>Hidden Sidebar and activate it;

I’d like to be able to show the menu horizontally at the top, in the traditional way – the way it does when I land on the first page of your theme’s preview from here in Envato.

That is currently not an option, but you can have something similar to that if you you use Coming Soon page template without the counter (then you can add whatever content you want to the page including a menu).
I’ve had another similar request and I’m going to think of a way to implement this, but probably only on a page-by-page basis like you said. On that page you don’t want to have any left or right side menu, right?

Yes, so on those pages there would be no left / right menu (although the mobile menu could be retained in place of the header menu). It would be great to see that feature added.
I note the site is built on framework 5 – I guess it would be possible to integrate a header menu using a framework wordpress menu walker via a child theme, or does that sound daft to you?

It is not going to work, because we are mostly using the Foundation Grid (not the whole framework). We are going to try and add something that allows this type of page on the next theme update.

Hi, I’m already using one of your theme. Pre sales questions for VERVE.
1 – Can i use multiple videos in sliders? 2 – I need to add a page flip script in a page. Won’t there be any potential conflict? Of course the best for knowing it is to try…but I can’t buy the theme for testing.

1) Yes, but support is limited if you want to use multiple videos on the same slider. You will probably run into trouble if you start playing more than one video at the same time. In this case I suggest that you use an external slider/plugin;
2) To what element do you want to apply this flip? Does it rely on some plugin? We can set up a test zone for you. If you want it please send us a private message;

At the end of that video tutorial (at 8 mins approx.) you will see that you can select a video instead of an image. Select the video option and copy/paste the video iframe code that you already obtained on YouTube, Vimeo, etc…
To get this video code just select the embed option when you are viewing the video on one of those external websites.
