Great material update! Thank you!!

In next release, please make page titles same as theme section and use fixed sidebar. It would make using theme as documentation so much easer!

Thanks again!

Hey,

I think i didn’t understand you correctly. You mean same font size or same vertical spacing?

Thanks

I am about <title> tag.

For example, page icons_icomoon.html would have <title>Icons – Icomoon</title>, page appearance_text_styling.html would have <title>Appearance – Text Styling</title> and so on.

In this case it’s much easer to navigate through browser tabs then searching for some element in theme documentation.

Understood, will consider for upcoming updates. Actually i already got a few requests about migrating to HTML5 markup, need to think over.

Thanks for suggestion!

Hi. I have one problem.

Dropdown menu has min-width set to 180px and when is text longer then get this ”...” (because text-overflow: ellipsis). This happen when “li” has icon in text. Is there any solution to remove this and set min-width to “auto”?

I found solution but i don’t know if is a best way…

I added this in custom css:

.dropdown-menu { min-width: 0; }

.dropdown-menu > li > a > i, .dropdown-menu > .dropdown-header > i, .dropdown-menu > li > a > img, .dropdown-menu > .dropdown-header > img { float: none; }

Hi,

Yes, dropdowns have min-height by default in Bootstrap. Since icons have left floating, right padding is ignored and if text is longer than 180px, it’ll overflow menu.

Your solution is correct, also add display: inline-block; to icons and images inside dropdown item and white-space: normal; to .dropdown-menu > li > a, and this should fix the problem.

Thanks

Good morning Kopyov, I have downloaded the zip after receiving the update notification last week. I have two questions. (1) the name of the zip is the same as the one I downloaded on the 1st March, is this correct? (2) can you please have a look if the zip is ok on your side, it gives me the error ‘WinZip: too many entries in central directory according to end of central directory info.’ when I try to open it after download. Thank you, kind regards,

Good morning.

1 Yes it is correct, Envato renames package automatically regardless original archive name

2. Acknowledged about this problem, a new package will be reuploaded in an hour. For now please try to unzip with Winrar or 7zip, it works fine in third party tools.

Thanks!

Hi, I am search for a long time for porting the limitless App and there Tabs to a material design TAB and to be able to mape Swap gestures on mobile. As you know it from native Apps following the tab navigation layout.

Example : http://materializecss.com/tabs.html

Do you see any way or do you have an Idea how to realize this with limitless? I haven’t found any plugin in the web which fit these needs.

Hi,

I think i didn’t get what you mean. If you want to make that underline on active tab animated – unfortunately it’s not supported at the moment, because it can’t be achieved with CSS only and requires some JS, that will append additional container to the tabs and calculate X axis position. But i will definitely look into this feature and consider for the next updates.

Thanks!

Sorry for unclear information. I am looking for a plugin or a possiblity to do this : https://www.google.com/design/spec/components/tabs.html#tabs-usage

(And the possibility to swipe between the tabs with left/right gestures on mobile)

And cause my whole application is based on your awesome limitless I need to find a way to solve this. I cannot find external plugins or have no glue to implement it using limitless components.

Any hint would be awesome!!!

Ahaa, i see. Same story here – not supported by default, because tabs support dropdown menu, which is hidden if tabs nav have horizontal scrollbar. It can be done of course, but in this case you need to change the element dropdown append to.

I’ve found this plugin, which extends tabs appearance, but haven’t tested it yet. Anyway, definitely a nice addition for the next updates!

Thanks

Hi, that’s an amazing template. I’ve just downloaded Version 1.3 but the zip file only contains layout 1. How can I can updates for other layouts?

Hi,

Assuming you are using Windows 10? Please try to unzip with 7-zip or winrar, i am working on this issue right now. Asked a few users to check a new archive before upload, if you want to participate please email me to e.kopyov[at]gmail.com, i’ll send you a direct link.

Sorry for inconveniences. Thanks!

You are super star. I didn’t expect having an immediate response. I am using Windows 7 but worked fine using 7-zip. Thanks

Something appears to be wrong with Mac archive utility on my side, tried to create a new package using third-party tool and all users confirmed that it works fine now.

Will upload a new package within next few hours.

Thanks

Is there anyway to add Masonry to these types of page setups? http://demo.interface.club/limitless/layout_2/LTR/material/gallery_description.html

Its great if everything is the exact length, but as soon as a title or description goes over a length, it breaks the pages where they really don’t line up anymore. Yes If you force it to do only 4 per row it looks “ok” but there are still extra gaps. If you do masonry, it flows better and everything stayed glued together a little more nicely.

Hi,

Yes, for now gallery view is limited to 12 columns Bootstrap grid, i am going to add Masonry layout in upcoming update, including 1-2 additional portfolio views.

Thanks

Please update jquery 2.1.4 to jquery 2.2.2. in your theme as it contains a vulnerability;

? jquery 2.1.4 has known vulnerabilities: severity: medium; summary: 3rd party CORS request may execute; https://github.com/jquery/jquery/issues/2432 & http://blog.jquery.com/2016/01/08/jquery-2-2-and-1-12-released/

Hi,

I know about latest jQuery release, but there are 2 reasons why i didn’t update it yet:

1. Version 2.2.* doesn’t have that issue fixed, security fix will be included in version 3.0+

2. Latest version breaks Editable form extension functionality. In the next update i’ll try to fix Editable compatibility and update afterwards.

Handsontable and moment.js – thanks for those, will update in the next update.

Thanks!

Can you please update the documentation for v1.3 to include instructions on how to use the Floating Action Buttons. Thanks.

Hi,

Oops, sorry about that, forgot to include it. Will update this week, for now you can refer to this page, there is a sample markup, multiple examples and table with classes.

Thanks!

I am building a web app that would allow front end users to login and have their own dashboard to do things such as create lists, etc. Would this be a good product for that?

Hi,

Of course, this is actually a main purpose of admin templates – to be used in control panels, dashboards, apps etc etc. Basically it’s just a set of different static components.

Thanks!

Hi!

Thanks for the update! However, I made the download but the package only has the layout1 inside.

Is that normal?

Thanks, José

Hey,

Yeah, strange behavior – all good on Mac, on Win works perfectly with Winrar, but not with Windows zip on Win8. But it wouldn’t be approved for download if archive is damaged. I will keep investigating the issue tomorrow. Sorry about that!

Thanks

By the way, could you please let me know which version of Windows are you using?

Thanks

Windows 10

Hey, when I download this, it’s only giving me layout 1 and documentation. I’m not getting any of the other layouts..

Yep, they are all there when unzipping with winrar. Thanks!

That’s strange that it does that.. Anyways, just for future reference, I was using Windows 10’s built-in archive manager.

Yep, indeed. Found out that some builds of Win 10 and Win 8 have problems with displaying compressed Mac folders. I honestly have no idea how to fix this issue, but I’ll try to re-pack the template on a different machine, hopefully it won’t appear in there as well.

Thanks for the info!

Hi,

How can I create a collapsed panel directly?

Hi,

Pretty easy – just add panel-collapsed class to your panel container:

<div class="panel panel-flat panel-collapsed">
    ...
</div>

Thanks

I not see in the demo page to basic table fixed header. Do not have this feature?

Hi,

Unfortunately not at the moment. I didn’t add it for static tables, only for datatables as a separate extension.

Thanks

I am also having another issue with the less files too. I have added the _main directory to Koala but I am getting errors about the custom paths in the _global/global.less file. It seems the file is importing but the custom paths are not translating in the _main files. If I replace the custom path with the hardcoded path, it works fine. Am I missing something here?

Ohhhh, confirmed, i checked it once and it worked perfectly. After that i made a few more changes and didn’t test it again in Koala. In gulp everything works great. Seems like Koala doesn’t allow you to use variables, if they are not specified/imported in the same file. That’s very weird issue, because it does work with other files, but not with path variables.

Solutions:

1. Duplicate paths variables in all 4 main files

2. Use standard path

I’ll test again in the morning and if it won’t work, i’ll push a quick update without those path variables.

Very sorry about that!

Just tested in SimpLESS app – same bug, however gulp compiles files correctly. Will revert changes in a few hours, also will add some tweaks to disable CSS transitions on page load and clean up starters.

Thanks!

I have a small issue with the new update and I am sure it is a simple fix, but I am unable to find it. I think it has something to do with the Container height hack for FF caused footer issues on mobile in the changelog.

When I have a smaller page displayed where there is no scrollbar, the sidebar cuts off at the bottom, and the footer is not at the bottom of the page if that makes sense.

This only happens in Firefox. All the other browsers seem to work like it did before the update.

Is there a simple CSS fix or jquery fix I need to apply to revert to the old way?

Scott

Hmmm. This is how my css compiled:
@media (min-width: 769px) {
  .page-container {
    width: 100%;
    display: table;
    table-layout: fixed;
  }
  @-moz-document url-prefix() {
    height: 1px;
  }
}
Mine is leaving out the .page-container {height: 1px} portion.

Here is what my less file looks like:

// Main wrapper .page-container { position: relative; }

// Desktop view
@media (min-width: @grid-float-breakpoint) {
    width: 100%;
    display: table;
    table-layout: fixed;
}
// Min-height doesn't work in FF, bug. So we set 1px height which is overriden with min-height
@-moz-document url-prefix() {
    height: 1px;
}

replied back to your email

when will you add v1.3 changelog? thank you

Changelog is available in documentation or open changelog.html file in any layout. Working on live preview update right now

Thanks

I just downloaded and unzipped them using winrar all good.

Thanks for confirmation!

Thanks for the update. When will the next one be available? LOL, just kidding.

I do have a question though. To be honest I haven’t browsed all the folders, but I am only seeing one layout. I have Layout 1 default and material, but none of the other layouts. Am I missing something?

Just downloaded on 2 machines and unpacked – all good, got all 5 layouts. Next week i’ll optimize file structure – 1 common assets folder for both default and material themes, this will reduce package size and total number of files.

Until then, please email me to e.kopyov[at]gmail.com, i’ll send you a direct link to the package.

Thanks

I installed WinRar and all layouts are there. Weirdness.

Yeah, happens with that Winzip, in previous version had the same problem with users who used it.

Just started cleanup, merging main js files with those in /starters/assets/ folder, they are identical and related to 1 layout. In the next update will come up with some better solution.

Thanks

Thanks for the 1.3 update but hoped you’d update all the dependencies & components.

Font-awesome already released 4.5 version but your 1.3 still contains 4.3. :/

Hi,

I’ve checked most of components, but missed fontawesome. Will do that in the next update, until then you can easily update it yourself -

1. Download new font awesome version and unpack the package

2. Copy font files from /fonts/ folder

3. Replace font files in assets/css/icons/fontawesome/fonts/ with new ones

4. Download this styles.min.css file and replace current styles.min.css file with this one.

That’s it. Now you should have the latest version.

Thanks

Why don’t you move to a bower & grunt based packaging system, so your life will be easier and you won’t miss any updates :)

Already considering bower for upcoming updates, i haven’t worked much with grunt, so need to test a few things first :)

Thanks for suggestions!

Here it is !

Yeah, finally. Time to deploy a new live preview :)
