We do have Flexslider and Nivo slider as options along with revolution slider. Unfortunately, I don’t have a page to showcase it since we find most users using rev slider.

Features like payments and tickets are handled by paid plugins from authors of Give plugins and Events Calendar. Pls check with the authors of these plugins if you need more information on these. Thanks for your interest. I did have a look at our themes and the thing that affects the loading time most is Revolution Slider. It seems to load the JS in the header and loads the scripts/css related to the plugin in all pages irrespective of whether that page has revolution slider or not. I will have a look at this a little more closely so that we can do something about it. We ran performance related tests against our pages and most suggestions seem to revolve around rev slider and my own performance profiling of site validates this.

While we do have caching working, minifying and combining JS is something that could improve performance considerably. We do not do that on our servers but is recommended on production servers.

Do note that you can disable smooth load in the theme options so that user does not have to wait for the whole page to load completely before seeing the contents. This small change itself can make a big difference in loading time as perceived by the user.

Apart from this, we believe that having a site that does not look like a typical web template comes at some cost due to additional content, extra scripts and CSS that are needed to make things look and function better. Hopefully the impact the site can make on the visitors more than compensates for the little extra loading time that users has to endure.

One additional thing I forgot to mention which is causing the delay in loading – Instagram widget in the footer of every page. This widget is from a popular plugin.

Thanks for your interest. From your description, looks like you will need to customize the theme to achieve this – specially the gift part. Pls look for a WooCommerce plugin which may help you achieve the same. There are many free plugins from YI Themes that work well but I am not sure if they meet your exact need.

The theme can work with only one campaign – I do not see issues there though.

Hi there, thanks for the reply. I bought the theme, however we are having issues setting up a Campaign. Looking at the documentation provided I believe it is set up exactly as should be however when we view the Campaign Entry it does a 404 error.

The way I update is to replace all files. No matter what method you use (there are plugins too like this – http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/ and Envato Toolkit – https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-update-themeforest-themes-with-the-envato-wordpress-toolkit/ – to update easily), you will need to backup your changes and redo any changes you made to the files on the new installation.

Use tools like DiffMerge or WinMerge to compare the old and new files and redo the changes. You will spend probably an hour doing this but not more, specially if you have made changes only to a few select files. The settings data will stay and hence Custom CSS entered into theme options should be fine. It’s always a good idea to have a backup though. Hope this helps.

Best way to protect yourself from theme updates is to always make changes in the child theme. The theme is mostly child theme friendly and hence when you have time, you can probably go through the changes you have made to the core theme files and try to move them to child theme so that the core files are not affected and upgrades are smoother.
