Hello there. I’d love to completely remove excerpts with the Recent Posts function. I have been doing custom excerpts but it’s a bother and I don’t like how they look regardless. How might I manipulate the code to get rid of them? Page: http://pgrin.com/home-alternate/
Also: when inserting a Blog function using the masonry setting, is there a way to limit the number of posts shown? Infinite pagination doesn’t work with what I’m trying to do, and the click pagination is funky when using different size tiles.

1. You’d need to edit the shortcode-processing.php file located in the nectar/tinymce directory in regards. Remove the “the_excerpt()” function inside of the nectar_recent_posts function
2. The posts per page field in the Visual Composer blog element allows control over this – if you’re not using the VC element and instead have the posts page set to a page from Settings > reading, use the input for “Blog pages show at most” in Settings > reading

Pages wouldn’t load fully with any of the menus, it would freeze then you’d have to reclick the menu or enter the url manually.

Hey there… not sure if you knew it but there’s a bit of a bug with the facebook social button. If you try to share a post, the image associated with that post is incorrect. For some reason, it posts your logo instead of the post’s image. Also, the post’s excerpts are sometimes wrong. In one instance, my facebook share icon contained the write-up from a tweet I sent out the day before.

If I add a product to the cart from the category page, by clicking on “add to cart” button, the product is always added with qty:2
It happens if option: Add to cart Icon on Hover (Classic) was chosen.
I tried toggling between Icon and Text which seemed to have worked for another user… but it did not work for me.

Hey, it there a way to import a single page from a demo? I’ve built my own site, but I’d like to emulate a certain look that is in one of the demos, but I don’t want to import the entire demo, overwriting what I’ve already built. I just want to import a page so I can look at how to recreate it on my own site.

As of now this wouldn’t be possible without importing that dummy data xml file, it wouldn’t overwrite any theme settings that way – however if you just let me know the page and demo I could provide the snippet here to save you the trouble

Hi, I need to remove the date from the masonry blog posts.
I’m using masonry blog as it appears on the corporate demo homepage. Where there are three blog posts ‘Nulla Magna’ ‘Forest Path’ ‘The Orange’
I’ve tried using css you have placed on other comments but it does’nt work for this particular element as it seems to be located within the post title somehow
Any help appreciated as this is important to what I am trying to do as the posts won’t be date sensitive and used as offers.

This is my second fresh wordpress install because I thought i just messed up some settings/options on the general salient options. Just realized now I should have posted for help here first before redoing all of it again for 1 week. I also tried matching the settings from the corporate demo and also exporting the settings from the corporate demo and the problem still persist.
Please help and many thanks for your great theme.
Additional Info: The issue appears when I select the “Masonry Style: Classic Enhanced” option on the blog general salient settings.
Additional Info: Also when I select the “Masonry Item Sizing: Regular Alt or Large Feature” on the post settings, the featured image doesn’t appear/show, it’s just a gray background.

I am trying to achieve the image hover over like the one on this page: http://www.marieforleo.com/about/ and where Richard Branson, Oprah, & Tony Robbins are. You could achieve something similar with the portfolio element, it would just take css to make the items unclickable. If you can set up a portfolio element on your URL i’d be glad to provide the css

Hey – yes, you can toggle the “Hide header when needed” option in your theme options panel > header navigation > animation effects tab

1. As of now this wouldn’t be possible without some custom development unfortunately
2. This could be achieved with the portfolio element – you can give projects custom URLs to lead to any destination desired other than a project single page itself. This input can be found when creating/editing a project in the Project Configuration metabox

well the header is turned off and what I want is to be able to have a menu across the site while having the space above the menu available for the banners can you send mr the ccs for this? thank you , this is the only theme I’ll ever use, it’s just perfect.

Hey, your header is turned off on the home page still in favor of the custom one you’ve added so nothing will happen there, however on your other pages I’m not seeing that css snippet appear in the code, can you verify that it’s still added?
What I wanted is to turn ON the menu and have the space above it to put the banners and other graphics you see. maybe using Templatera to do that, but I do want the salient menu.
Hello, I really love your theme and I am interesting in buying it. I would like to know beforehand if it is possible for the “background header image” in single posts to appear in its original size, ie 1600px width and 1067px height. I don’t want the image cropped (as shown in your demo). Is there any css code to fix this? Thanks

The post header will always be fullwidth of the screen so there will be some cropping – There is the option to constrain that to fullscreen http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-ascend/be-my-guest/ or have it be more of a banner like so: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-corporate/2013/04/nulla-magna/ when using the banner you can define the height as well so the cropping will be fairly controlled

Hey ThemeNectar, I have been using Salient for a while and purchased several downloads, I have seen it grow and have to say, it is FANTASTIC! However, I am having a small issue in regard of the Off Canvas Menu Mobile Nav. I enabled it, and I also enabled transparency with a custom white color for the burger menu, I enabled “Use Transparent Header When Applicable” and even: “Permanent transparency”, nonetheless, the header does not keep itself transparent. So I went at the page level and ticked: “force transparency for the nav” which solved the issue and made the header transparent again. One problem persists, on a full slide show with the Rev slider, the burger menu, does not show white in color as I customized it and stays dark. I figured I will tick also: “Header Inherit Row Color” maybe that would do it but it does not. In the color scheme I have it as white, in fact if I disable the transparency, it shows white. How do I solve this? Custom css to force it to stay white? How will it act on other pages though if I need to have it inherit each page different color? Sorry, but this could be a bug and it might help a lot of other people. Thank you!!!

About a year ago it was asked if there is any way to have three buttons on the home slider? Your response back then is that it would involve some custom modding and that it’s already on your to-do list. Any update on this and if it’s not coming soon, can you please give me some advice/tips on how I can do the custom modding myself or inform my developer.
