Hey, as of now this would require some custom development unfortunately. You can link the thumbnail to a video, but the thumbnail itself can’t be set as a video

Hey, you guys have an awesome theme! I bought one for my main site and love it. I have a website design and marketing company and would like to use this theme for some of my future clients. Do you guys offer a developers option for multiple implementation or some sort of discount when X amount of licenses are bought by a single user? If you can get back to me as soon as possible that would be great, already have 2 clients lined up!

Hello. I am WordPress Developer, a client ask me to fix his website .. he is using your theme, and found the problem.. the problem is in “init.js” file you are writing one of the selectors in this way $(this).is(‘[href=#]’) and this cause an error and this error stopping the execution of the remain js code So, the solution is to write it in this way $(this).is(‘[href=”#”]’) and this also $(this).is(‘[data-hover-bg=#]’) need to be corrected to $(this).is(‘[data-hover-bg=”#”]’)

Hello, i came here because visual composer doesn’t work. I read your post above, you said i need Version: 7.0.8, but it says in the theme info in WP that i have Version: 7.0.6. How is it that it’s not updating?

Visual composer UNABLE TO UPDATE urgent.
After update. I get a reminder to update my Visual composer. when attempting to update I get this message: “To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your Visual Composer.” When i click on setting it says “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
I am unable to edit site, need help URGENTLY. appreciated.
SOLUTION: For anyone experiencing similar issues follow this: There’s a note inside of the theme download which explains this “If you were using the Salient Visual Composer plugin version 4.9.2 before updating, you’ll need to delete the plugin from your plugins section in the WordPress admin panel before installing the current version (4.10) in Appearance > Install Plugins – This is necessary due to a bug in the Salient VC 4.9.2 which prevents regular updating.”

After researching it seems there is a “mega menu” already included. Is it just a generic version of Ubermenu’s mega menu or is that exact plugin integrated into salient? I’m asking because I’m trying to recreate some of the features that the Uber Mega Menu has like having 4 columns in the menu, but the 4th column is an image or html. http://prntscr.com/asrvoc
Is this possible? If so, how? Also, I’ve been building w wordpress for 5+ years and you’re support right here in the comments is the best I’ve ever seen. Pple hate opening tickets in another website you have to log into.. bleh
Hey, the mega menu in Salient is not ubermenu, it’s just a basic mega menu that allows control over columns but doesn’t provide the option for a BG image as of now:

Updated to WP 4.5, Salient 7.0.8, and SVC 4.11.12. Disabled all plugins (only have two). Still can’t get Nectar Slider to work. Brownser has one error: “Uncaught TypeError: Modernizr.prefixed is not a function.” My support is expired. Perfect timing, now I guess I’m screwed.
Apologies, I figured it out and made it work. The WP 4.5 definitely broke the Nectar slider, but all seems well now. Thanks!

For everyone who hasn’t seen the announcements,
In regards to WordPress 4.5
The only version of Salient that is compatible with the latest WP is Salient 7.0.8, and the only version of Salient Visual Composer that is compatible with WP 4.5 is 4.11.2. If you’re using older versions of these and have updated to WP 4.5, your visual composer will not work.
Once you’ve updated Salient, head to the plugins section of your admin panel to update Visual Composer. If you’re having issues after using both the current versions, check for third party plugin issues – WP 4.5 added a new version of jQuery and a lot of plugins broke because of it.

May have found a bug. When I use a Video Lightbox element, it works great on a desktop computer but the Lightbox pop-up on mobile has warped dimensions.

Hi, I’d really love to use the header style you use on your corporate demo (http://themeforest.net/item/salient-responsive-multipurpose-theme/full_screen_preview/4363266) on a portfolio page. What I love about it is being able to have the lightbox play icon within that full header.
I’ve made it work on a normal page but can’t seem to do it on a portfolio page. Is there an option to do this? I haven’t had any luck in finding one…

As of now this wouldn’t be possible unless you used css to hide the project header and used the video lightbox button in the first row of your page builder. If that’s something you’re interested, kindly share your URL so I can provide example css

Hey, on the page set a page header background color (just to trigger the transparent nav) and then add this into the custom css box:

}

Feature Request: Improved Call To Action: Instead of having a global call to action, would be nice to have a call to action shortcode where I can set custom options for it where its set. This is useful when a web site has various services on offer and you want a CtA with wording specific to that service/product.

Hi there. Firstly, thanks for a great theme! I was completely new to wordpress when I started using this theme, it’s really nicely laid out and brilliant fun to work with. The site looks great too!
Just one problem, I’m trying to use the gallery element in the page builder but I can’t add more than one image too it. In the ‘add images’ window, I can select multiple images but when I press the ‘add images’ button, the all the selected images deselect and nothing is added to the gallery.

Feature Request: Improved Icon Search. Currently you have search available on the icon drop down list, but its like so “keyword%”. Could you please rather make this “ keyword ”? For example, searching for “cog” returns no results, because I havent entered “icon-cog”. Using the ‘double wildcard’ method described would also let me see all “cog” results for “icon”/”steadysets-icon” and “lineicon” sets which makes it a lot more useful when I’m looking for an icon that represents something.
