Hi there!

I am using the ‘Blog List’ Element (with WP Bakery’s Visual Composer) and I would like to display pagination for the additional blog posts in the category that I have set with that element’s options. Your documentation mentions pagination for Blog Lists, but I am only seeing pagination options for the Blog Page Templates in the Edge Options. Do pagination options exist for the Blog List Element?

Hi there…the Visual Composer element for each page in my dashboard is now gone. I can’t update any of the pages using the wsiwyg editor now, but I can see them i go into the text editor. Any ideas?

Thanks for helping. I updated the main theme, but the VC version is still showing 4.7.4 in dashboard with no option to update. Do I need to update the plugin manually to the child theme with ftp or something? Thanks again

Hi,

You need to uninstall and delete the plugin, than the ‘install message’ will appear. After that, just follow the instructions and you will be ready to go.

We recently released our new theme update where compatibility is included. Please, go to update our theme to latest version, also update VC (new version is bundled). After that you could also update also WordPress from your dashboard.

We’re releasing updates for all our themes now, so as soon as update with official compatibility with WordPress 4.5 is out, you should update your theme first, and then you can safely update WordPress.

Thanks for your message. If you decide to start your work by importing the demo content/site, you will get all the media files imported and positioned in the right place – you’ll get completely the same looking site as our demo.

But please note that the images we use are copyrighted, and if you’d like to publish them on your live site, you would need to purchase them separately. We bought most of our images on Shutterstock.

I just tried to install the theme on wordpress and, after loading the zip file and complete installation, when I click the “activate” button, I get an Internal Server Error warning wich makes me unable to acess my dashboard. To fix this, I have to go to my FTP and erase the theme folder. It happened two times. Could you explain why is this happening? I have the latest Wordpress version installed.

Most likely you need to increase your memory_limit , since it’s probably too low, and this happens. Just contact your host and ask them to increase this parameter for you.

If you still can’t get this right, submit private ticket to https://edge.ticksy.com , with a link to your site, WP login data, FTP credentials, so our support staff can help more. But most likely it’s memory_limit

Does the theme have frontend visual composer editing? Just got another theme and noticed it was possible on there, but this only seems to offer backend VC editing… How do i get that for hudson? Makes it so much easier.

Frontend editor for Visual Composer has been intentionally disabled, because we’ve included some complex elements we’ve created into Visual Composer for our theme.

You can enable it, in case you need to use it, however while building your page some elements might not display properly until you refresh the page. If you want to enable it, submit a ticket to https://edge.ticksy.com , and our support will write you the instructions how to enable this.

Honestly I don’t understand what happen with my tickets and your support guys. I’ve been purchasing a lot of themes on ThemeForest and never had so many issues. After a wordpress update the logo on the www.blvgallery.com simply disappear. I already tried to delete and upload the theme again and the issue persist. I also deleted the imagens and upload again in different extensions, jpeg or png and still doesn’t work. I hope to get a answer as soon as possible. Thanks

Try to disable third-party plugins you use, it could be caused by some of them. Alternatively, add this css in Edge Options -> General -> Custom CSS field:

I have a question regarding the edge portfolio list. When I have around 30 or so items in the list and I have it set to only show 9 items at a time. When I click on a filter in the filter bar, I would expect it to show up to 9 items of that category. But instead it shows only the items of that category from the currently 9 displayed items.

For example if I have 3 categories, A B and C, where there are 20 A’s , 20 B’s and 20 C’s and of the first 9 items displayed it shows 2 A’s 3 B’s and 4 C’s. When I click on the filter for category A items I would expect it to show the first 9 A items. Instead it only shows the 2 A items that were first on the list. Not only that, but if I then click on the show more button, it shows a mix of the other categories while the filter item A is still shown as highlighted. This is really poor user experience behaviour. Is this the intended functionality and if not, how do I correct it?

Just change that and it should work fine. As for the mobile header, it’s regular by default, can’t be sticky or fixed. You can try to make it fixed with a bit of css for mobiles as well, consult our support in your ticket about this.

Hi, Video placeholder images are not working. Can you please fix asap please. Try this example here isn’t showing on my mobile device. Try loading this video using Explorer 11, or Explorer Edge, or Firefox, or Safari. The video fails to load in those browsers and the placeholder image does not takes it place. http://studio101.nz/hair-salon-lower-hutt/. The only browser I can get it working in is Chrome. It would be better if you added two more video types .ogg + .mp4 etc.

Note: We bought extended license for these two included plugins (Visual Composer and Layer Slider), and we can’t give you license code because of polity and terms of Theme Forest, because of that we included these plugins in our theme(you can find plugins in theme folder/plugins/ there are installation files of these plugins), also we will update these plugins to the latest version with theme update so you just need to wait future theme update and there will be the latest version of plugins if latest version exist.

You can ignore messages about activation these plugins, you have/get inside Plugin settings. Your plugins are legal and you can use them immediately upon installing.

Currently, last released version of LayerSlider plugin is 5.6.2 , and it’s included in our Hudson theme, which version do you have?

It’s 5.6.2. I looked again, it’s not saying it needs to update, just that it will only update if I enter a code.

That css code should work fine. Just in the last part, for content, is should be like:

content: "BLOG";
}

without slashes.
