Hello. I purchased this excellent theme a while ago but im only taking it live now.
However, I have a problem others seem to have too – the buddypress cover image.
I noticed a number of people asking about this a few months ago. Can you update on this or offer a short-term work-around? It just doesn’t look right without the cover image.

Thanks for choosing Valenti all that time ago. I believe the cover image requires specific code to appear and I haven’t had a chance to look at it yet, so I don’t know exactly how BuddyPress implemented it, but it is near the top of my Valenti to-do list so I will almost definitely look at it for the next update (5.4).

As it stands now, BP profiles look rather ugly without a cover. Can you recommend some short-term something to fix this?

That is helpful, thank you. I have started working on it but it isn’t an easy job and requires quite a lot of custom code (php/css) added, so there aren’t any short-term quick fixes I’m afraid, but in v5.4 I will ensure to make Valenti’s BuddyPress support the cover image feature.

Hi, could you help me? I believe this is something about the retina logo issue, but as I don’t have a Mac (I’m a Linux user) I cannot see the issue, only my client. Sure thing! I had a look and the logo is definitely outputting as expected, but one thing I noticed is that you seem to have set the retina logo to both normal and retina options. This isn’t really a problem, but your retina logo is huge (1500px wide) and on some small screens/older phones/tablets, rendering a big image like that and resizing it to be quite small like you have it now can cause issues. Try creating a 150×60 for normal logo and 300×120 for the retina option, and call them logo.png and logo@2x.png and see how you get on.

Hi Cubell, I had to use this huge logo because my client was annoying me with the quality. So I am using this dimensions and some CSS to redimension. I know it’s wrong but it was a workaround.
This morning I tested with a friend using a Retina notebook and I created this workaround (using JS):

The problem is that the theme was not loading the logo in retina screens. So now, it is working as you saw.

You’re welcome Ah you were talking about the navigation menu! In that case, I had a look and no retina is outputting indeed, but are you sure you set the logo to the “Navigation menu retina logo” option too? Your code definitely code fix it, but it should work without any special code.

Yes Cubell, I was. The option was set there. Maybe you need to consider a fix in the future if it is an official issue. If it is occurring only with me, I am not sure how to fix without this javascript.

I’m using a new youtube video importer which works really well however the standard Valenti video post adds the feature image as an additional post picture with the video underneath example http://testtrack.tv/cars/bam-first-row-quali-for-coronel-at-the-hungaroring-fia-wtcc-2016-hungaroring/ Therefore would it be possible to add a piece of custom CSS which would leave the title but remove the top image and move the video up into its place…

The support system and cost is all completely controlled by Envato, and us authors had nothing do to with it. But we have to enforce these rules to ensure all buyers are on a level playing field and make it fair for buyers who have extended support for their themes. A lot of authors weren’t happy either, but we are in Envato’s playground, so it’s always their rules and opinions that matter.

Puse para que los moderadores editen tu comentario porque incluiste tu purchase code, y eso nunca deberias hacerlo, es 100% personal y nunca deberias hacerlo publico.
Cuando compras un theme aca, y dejas un mensaje aparece un buton que dice “Purchase buyer” por lo tanto se que si lo compraste.
Lo otro es que se te expiro el soporte, debido a cambios y nuevas reglas de Envato, autores tienen que enforzarlo, por lo tanto por favor extende tu soporte y ahi te puedo intentar ayudar.

II logged into a clients website and they are using Valenti 3.2; Is that compatible with Wordpress 4.5?

That is a very, very old version and as such it hasn’t been tested with WordPress 4.5, but you should really get the client to update the theme as it is currently at 5.3 and has had a huge number of improvements/new useful features/bug fixes since then.

Oh BTW I just bought the latest update for Valenti and was wondering RE: API,Keys and Purchase Codes. If I can develop on my server then transfer over to another ?
You definitely can, other theme authors may introduce limitations to this, but with my themes you can use them on a development server and transfer over with no problems. You will only need more licenses if you want to run the theme on multiple real sites at the same time.

Hello, we have been using the theme for a while now and for the past day, the site is dead. It has been showing the following error:

Update to the latest update and it should all be working. That error was due to Envato’s official plugin that the theme integrates (Envato recommends themes to do this), but they have fixed it now.

Regarding the favicon, that is 100% controlled by WordPress now and themes aren’t allowed to intervene. You need to go to Appearance -> customize -> site identity to set it up.

I bought your them bc I got obsessed with the new feature of centered narrow text in your POST WITH PARALLAX FEATURED IMAGE & NO HEADER section. But now that I bought it, the images shrink to the width of the text, not like in the demo page where they go HUGE to the edge of the box. Am I missing something? I’ve tried but they seem to stay inside the same box. Also, how do I set those 4 images like a small gallery you have in the same page? I would truly appreciate if you help me with this. Thanks in advance! LOVE your theme.
Nevermind. I just figured out the thing with the big images. Apparently they shrink after I set them in a centered position. Once I pick the ‘no align’ they go huge. If you can help me with the set of images between posts, truly appreciated. x

Regarding the gallery, simply install Jetpack and activate the “tiled gallery” module, and then when you go to insert a new gallery you will see different gallery options, including that tiled one used in that post, or square/circle options too.

Just did todays theme update April 21st and It wont accept background image upload within a new post. You can select the image to use as a background for that individual post, but when you select it, its doesnt show the thumbnail after in that box on the edit page screen and when you select UPDATE so it can save your work, the post doesnt have the image you did for the background. using latest wordpress 4.5. were you able fix the 4.5 bugs before releasing this update? I was waiting for that before i did the updates today

Did you also update the plugin and refresh your cache? Because I did a quick test just a few seconds ago and it definitely works on the local demo site and on the theme demo site (using Valenti 5.3 + WordPress 4.5). All known bugs are fixed in 5.3, including the background image ones.
If you definitely have update the theme and also the plugin to version 5.3 + you refreshed cache + tested it in Chrome, then please let me know to investigate deeper.

yes all plugins are up to date. i only use chrome as well. refreshed the cache pressing shift and refresh, still doesnt upload. I noticed the message above from someone else mentions this bug as well.
nevermind found the problem. Cubell Themes – Functionality plugin needs to be updated MANUALLY. It doesnt show up in your dashboard on wordpress as needing to be updated. all good
however, my clickable background advertisiment still doesnt work. does the image have to be a certain size for it to work?

Regarding the background ad, if you share the url where it’ not outputting I can take a look for you. Normally the image should be normal size for full-screen (so anything at least 1200px width).

Just answered to the email, but in case you see this first, I cracked it
I had a look and it is outputting as expected, but your image is actually too small and is centered behind the site! The theme download package from Themeforest includes some image template files where you can put your ad on top, open the 1200px template and put your ad there and use that.
And make sure to save at the native size of the template
