You have probably updated Wp to version 4.5. You need to update the theme on the latest version which is compatible with WP 4.5, and than you need to update the Visual Composer plugin on latest one too (wee have included it with the theme). After this, everything will work fine.

I updated the theme and didn’t lost any customization and presets, thanks to kaleidoscope (i used it to compare the files – i didn’t use a child theme). BUT, I fear to lose every photos + texts I put on my site if I remove and re install the Visual Composer plugin… How can I do that without loosing the layout?
Nothing to worry about this. Here are the plugin update instructions:
1. Please make sure main theme is activated while performing other steps
2. Go to Plugins page in your WordPress Dashboard, locate Visual Composer in the list, deactivate it and delete it
3. You will see message that required plugin is missing at the top of your WordPress Dashboard
4. Install the plugin and then activate it

Yes, version 1.8 is the latest version of the theme. You can update your theme by performing the following steps:
1. Download the latest theme zip file from ThemeForest
2. Extract it and locate bodega.zip
3. Extract bodega.zip and locate the ‘bodega’ folder
4. Copy/Replace the contents of the ‘bodega’ folder to the /wp-content/themes/bodega folder of your web site.
After you update the theme, please make sure to also update the Visual Composer plugin. To do this, you need to deactivate and then delete the visual composer plugin. Then you should see a notice at the top of your dashboard that a required plugin needs to be installed. Install the new version of VC via this notice and you will receive the updated version. You should also empty your browser cache after you update Visual Composer.

Are you planning to update Bodega more regularly now? E.g. add compatibility for every WooCommerce future version. As I was using Bodega for an online shop, I haven’t been able to work on it for months as it wasn’t compatible with the latest WC version. I just would like to make sure in order to keep using it and renew my support.

It’s just always recommended for the users not to update plugins/WP on their own, before we release update, to avoid possible problems.

This is because you have some errors in your console. Most likely because you updated to the latest WordPress version before official theme update for compatibility.
We’re working on updates for all our themes. The new jQuery Version ( in wp-includes/js/jquery ) in WP 4.5 causes the issue. You can copy the old jQuery folder into wp-includes/js folder as a temporary solution until new theme update.

1. Excerpt for blog list can’t read shortcodes and because of that we implemented Excerpt field for each blog single. You just need to go in your back-end Posts -> Each post -> And below text editor or visual composer, you can find Excerpt field, just add here what ever you want to display for that post on blog list. If you don’t have this section, then just go to top right corner -> Screen Options -> And enable excerpt
2. For this header type you’re using, the height you set will apply to both – logo and navigation section. You can make one section smaller with custom css.
