Yes if you haven’t touched direct theme files on their folders, such as js, php, or css files you can freely update the theme :)

We have released Aurum 1.9.2 on May 5, here you can see what has changed on is’s changelog.

As you see we are continuously updating Aurum with new features, updates, compatibility issues with other plugins and other things even that it has been time that we created this theme.

For sure that you have either Envato Toolkit or Envato Market plugin installed so please check it. Please note that you need oAuth key on this plugin and not API key, but the plugin itself has the guide inside so i’m sure that you will manage to update your theme through this plugin :)

Hello, i have a question about the header options for fonts. I am using the H2 type of fonts for the about section but its always automatically CAPITAL written. Is there any way i can change that, say create a h10 font that i can then use in the same size and style and h2 but without being always in CAPITALS ?

Now we have the MENU ON THE TOP in small letters the rest looks good but for example the OUR STORY section: http://nowheremalas.com/our-story/  has the same problem.  I wanted to use the font there h3 but not in Capitals.

1) how can i now make sure that in some parts like about or blog posts i can use the same fonts but decapitalized ?

it hasnt done much or maybe i didnt articulate well enough what i like. I would love to use for example the H3 style in the about us section but without veing capitals. Now if i go in the general Custom CSS and enter

Hello, i am having trouble with the slider. I can’t edit or save anything as i always get an error. Its says: It seems there is a server issue that prevented LayerSlider from saving your work. Please, try to temporary disable themes/plugins, or contact with your hosting provider. Your HTTP server thrown the following error:

Any helping ideas?

This issue is related to your server. One suggestion on getting this to work is this:

1. Go to Settings > Permalinks

2. Set to “Plain” in Common Settings:

(view large version)

3. Then go to Layer Slider and try to save settings.

You will need to go in the Admin Panel > Custom CSS and refer to the CSS class of the element which you can see via the Inspect Element

To remove the quantity firstly go to the WordPress Admin Dashboard, on the left side of the menu there is the Custom CSS area, there you have to add the following code that will hide the quantity input:

.shop-item-single .item-info.summary form.cart .quantity {
display: none !important;
}

Don’t forget to click Save :)

This happens because there is no specified maximum width for visual composer row, so here is the quickfix for you:

.vc_row {
    max-width: 1170px;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
}

To apply Custom CSS, on WP admin panel menu click Custom CSS link (as shown here).

This is how it’ll look:

I have analyzed your Custom CSS, and you have an error in syntax, thats why the CSS I have to you its not applied.

Please make sure the CSS I gave you is added in the end of Custom CSS, and the brackets are properly closed before you add that CSS.

If you are not sure how to handle this, I will do it for you.

P.S. I see that your package support has expired. Please consider renewing it.

Hi,

On the main menu of my theme, every time i create a menu item with dropdown selections, the menu item doesn’t click anymore, only the dropdown selections click.

This happenes only on desktop. everything thing works perfectly on mobile.

Hi, While they’re workin on that, there’s also another issue.

My site returns some insecure links, and i have an ssl certificate installed. This causes errors sometimes on some browsers e.g firefox.

I have been able to trace the insecure links, and i have cleared all but one. and the link is :

” Insecure URL: http://themes.laborator.co/aurum/jewelry/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/map.png

I have tried to find that link or image in my library and it doesn’t exist. I didn’t install the jewelry theme, so i don’t know where its coming from.

Please i need you to look into this for me ASAP because, Some of my site visitors using old version of firefox or internet explorer will have problems visiting the site.

Hi Francis,

I have replied to your email regarding menu issue.

As for your https issue, the main issues come from imported LayerSliders because there were containing URLs with http protocol, so make sure you have removed the items with http protocol.

In About Us page, I have removed one http image access and now it is not marked as unsafe. The same is for home, it shows the green http (secure content) site.

To show the Login and Register in homepage firstly make sure you have enabled the user registration, go to Settings > General and tick the Anyone can register, also check on WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts and see if you’ve enabled the registration.

Finally, to show the login/register go to Laborator > Theme Options > Header and enable the Top Menu where you can select the Registration.

Hi,

I know this might sound crazy, but I´m having such a weird issue. Please pay attention to the explanation as it might sound confussing.

The menu on the mobile version JUST on the home page JUST on the default language (english) is not working. It simply adds a # to the url but it not show up the actual menu.

The problem is that to be able to se the actual problem, there is just 2 ways:

1. From a mobile 2. Through customizer

If you try to replicate the error on a computer without customizer, just by shrinking the screen size or zooming in, you will not be able to see the actual problem.

You can try what i specified above here (try it from a mobilie device):

English home page: http://goo.gl/AjheD5 (menu DOES NOT work) Spanish WPML translated home page: http://goo.gl/aQuVGM (menu DOES work) English NON home page: http://goo.gl/bt9o2Y (menu DOES work).

Just as a clue, I noticed that if i disable visual composer (all website breaks down) but the menu starts working on every page, including the home page). The rest of the plugins does not affect the behaviour of the mobile menu.

PD: It wasnt like this before. I think is during my last updates on theme were this got f*. I got backups of the website 1 week older, and I would not like to have to go back to the backup, and stay in older version forever.

        display: block !important;
    }
}

To apply Custom CSS, on WP admin panel menu click Custom CSS link (as shown here).

This should fix your issue.

My visual composer is not editing any page, when i try to edit any old page which before was fine but now it does not show to composer page if i click to clasic mod it shows the code but backend editor is not working, even when i add new page with visual editor it does not allow me to add any widget through visual editor.

Hi Laborator, I followed your instructions to change “out of stock” to “sold” by installing Loco Translator. However, there are 2 out of stock locations on each single product listing and only one of them changed (see attached image).     You are using an old version of our theme and the latest version for the moment is (2.9.2), please update theme first and then the premium plugins.

    The easiest way to update our themes is if you use Envato Toolkit. On this link How to update Themes and Plugins you can learn this easy step-by-step procedure :)

    Important: After you update the theme please don’t forget to go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support.

    1. I am currently using the aurum “Contact us” template om my contact page. I tried to edit the page with visual composer, because i wanted to add some content below the contact form, but when i updated the page, the content i just added, wasn’t being displayed. Is there anything i can do, to add content below the contact form?

    2. I am using the transparent header & video, and i would like to use the header type 3 on the home page and header type 1 on all of the other pages. Is this possible in any way?

    1— Contact us page doesn’t support Visual Composer.

    If you want a customized Contact page, then you can give a try Ninja Forms plugin, maybe it will help you to achieve the results you need.

    2— This is not possible for the moment.

    I have a question regarding some files that have failed to change url after I purchased a ssl certificate. These files are not allowing my site to get a full secure compliance due to this issue. All the files related to this issue are uploads of certain media for the theme. I was wondering if you had any suggestions to resolve my issue.

    When trying to access “All Pages” from within the WP admin dashboard I am seeing the following error page (I have removed the site URL name and replaced it with websitename for this comment) :

    — When selecting all pages I am navigated to this page:

    The www.websitename.com page isn’t working

    www.websitename.com is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500

    This is the only WP page/dashboard area that has this problem.

    Please advise.

    This should be an internal error and I am unable to diagnose what is going wrong there.

    Can you please enable WP Debug Mode because I am not able to exactly know what kind of issue is this.

    To turn on WP Debug Mode, follow these steps:

    1. Open wp-config.php

    2. Find WP_DEBUG constant (written as define('WP_DEBUG', false);)

    3. Set value to true (define('WP_DEBUG', true);) and save file.

    4. Go to the same page, refresh it and you will see a PHP warning or fatal error being display. Copy the error or better send me the screenshot so I will be able to understand what kind of issue is that and will give you proper fix to it.

    If you can’t update LayerSlider, go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and delete LayerSlider plugin then install it from Install Plugins page again. Your current sliders will not be deleted.
