Hi, I keep having
JUser: :_load: Unable to load user with ID: 517Any idea how I can get rid of it ? Thanks !
Hi HeyDee,
If you have this message in SP Page Builder’s page: JUser: :_load: Unable to load user with ID: xxx, then it is probably old user from Quickstart’s installation database. Don’t worry, when you open SP Page Builder’s page click on “Publishing” tab > Author > Select User > Select you as user. When you click “Save” button, it will be updated in your database.
Please, in the future, for support contact us via this link: https://themeforest.net/item/flex-multipurpose-joomla-template/14881156/support since “Comments” section here, is for comments. In this way I will have your email address, so I can support and reply.
Thank you for using Flex!

Hi, is it possible in your template not to use google fonts and player.vimeo.com ? Because when analysing the loading time, we can see that requests to player.vimeo.com and to fonts.googleapis.com increasing the loading time.
Hi serguei_kp,
You can enable or disable using Google fonts for headings or body font, in template’s admin. Vimeo is also option to choose or not.
Here is the link for Flex’s documentation, if you don’t want to miss reading it: http://flex.aplikko.com/images/documentation/Documentation.zip.
Hi I have another question, I’ve installed on my site a Taxibooking component and module, is your template compatible with such third party components, if not is it easy to adapt style of my Taxibooking module via backend of your template or via custom css file ? Do you have some tutorials/documentations or development services to make third party modules compatibles with your template?
Hi serguei_kp,
We cannot guarantee compatibility with Taxibooking. We never test it with Flex.
We don’t promise support for third party extensions, simple because there are thousands of them, and it is impossible to test them all with Flex template. Flex is loading jQuery and Bootstrap library and some required javascripts, so only potential problem could be if 3rd party extensions is loading Mootools.
By default Flex (and Joomla in general) is using jQuery javascript library. Joomla is not supporting Mootools for sometime now. Some extensions are using Mootools and the conflict could affect your site showing properly. You should check it first.
Hi thank you! In any case is it possible to use Joomla’s! custom.css file to override your styling or to reproduce your styling on the third party modules?
Yes, and this is best way to have your own custom styling: to create new custom.css file in templates/flex/css folder, and have your own styling for whatever you need. This custom.css will be automatically recognized and inserted after other CSS files, which is important to be last one, in order to avoid styling conflict.
Thank you! So native Joomla’s custom.css is not recomended in the case with your template, right?
As I said: custom.css file in templates/flex/css folder is “native” way to have custom.css. It should be in ../flex/css folder.
Do you have a list of compatible components with your template like: K2, EasyBlog etc.
No.

Hello, tell me how to get the module Modalpopup RSform, tried in a modal window content {rsform 3} ?
Hi Oldthief,
I don’t think that you can insert shortcode {rsform 3} into Modal Popup addon or Bootstrap Modal, because SP Page Builder is already “Shortcode” Builder, using shortcodes for its addons.
To some extend, you can insert “Include Component Anywhere” in Modal addon, for example Joomla article, but for {rsform 3} I cannot tell. More about “Include Component Anywhere – Plugin for Flex” here: http://flex.aplikko.com/posts/include-component.

Hi, I’m interested in purchasing the template, i have a question about the flex logo animation in the one page demo, which is amazing! can this animation be implemented also on my logo or i will need to separately create and upload the animation?
Hi mazajnet,
Thanks for being interested in Flex.
Flex logo that appears on http://flex.aplikko.com/home/onepage is animated SVG. Sorry to say, but it is impossible to simple change logo that appears, or change letters. It is quite complicated process to make animated SVG. Basically, it has a bunch of rectangles, where rectangle by rectangle appears, with combination of CSS styling. You will need to build it from the scratch. You can see it in “Page Source” (code) of http://flex.aplikko.com/home/onepage.
It is just a demo.
Thank you for your quick reply! can i replace the main still banner with a slide show on the onepage layout?
Hi mazajnet,
You can have slider, or slideshow on Onepage, instead of still image background, but without two additional columns: Flex SVG logo + “Elegance & Beauty”. You can have any SP Page Builder’s addon there. Mainly, two sliders are available in Flex: AP Smart LayerSlider module and Slick Slider (carousel) addon for SP Page Builder.
Would you like to see documentation before deciding to purchase Flex? You can download it here: http://flex.aplikko.com/images/documentation/Documentation.zip.

Still working on switching a live site to this template; which I anticipate would look awesome. I want to point out that while still going through early stages, I had a problem with the slider, and sent a support request. Amazingly fast response; and developer was able to point me in the right direction to find the solution.
I have a question/suggestion, though – Has anybody been able to implement a countdown on this template? Amazingly SP Page Builder does not include that feature; and their stand-alone module doesn’t work with Joomla 3+. I’ve tried a couple of options with no success; but now I’m thinking that, since Flex has a Coming Soon page with a countdown, maybe there is a way to use it on a regular page?
For the time being, you cannot insert “Coming Soon” page into SP Page Builder’s page. It is an external page (PHP), and cannot be inserted into main Joomla pages.
But, there is a way how to have “Countdown” in SP Page Builder’s pages: You can find nice “countdown” module, and insert it via “Module” addon in SP Page Builder. Here are two modules that I could recommend: Xpert Countdown or SP Countdown.
This will be surely on our “To-Do” list, for future update!
Thank you very much for your suggestion. I had tried SP Countdown, and found that it doesn’t run on Joomla 3+; but Xpert Countdown worked well.

Hi, on how much sites can I install this template (use on several domains), for instance I need to install it on the production site and on at least one test site, will ti be possible?
Hi serguei_kp,
It is one license (one purchase) for one project (one domain, or site), according to Envato. Here is the link on Envato that explains licenses: http://themeforest.net/licenses/standard.
Also, if you’re using local server like: XAMPP, WAMP or MAMP (depends on the computer you have), you can test unlimited sites locally, but for “live” site (domain), it is one license – one product. As a matter of fact, I would recommend to everybody to install local server (XAMPP, WAMP or MAMP ) and test “Quickstart” first. This is the best way to learn how Flex is working and how to develop your own site(s).
Kind regards
I just bought the template and was very sceptical at first, because it seemed to good to be true, but when after downloading and installing it, it worked like a charm. Very easy to use and it looks amazing!
Nevertheless I wanted to change the design in a way that was not customizeable, I asked the support and I got a detailed description of what to to. Outstanding.
Great template, great support. I would buy again!
Thank you Christoph, this is the best comment that you can imagine!

Hi, I am interested in buying your nice theme. I have some bad experience after buying a template from another vendor, that there are no updates released which makes it impossible to update to the latest Joomla version. How long will you support this theme?
Hi ilife,
We have no plans to drop support nor updates for Flex, but opposite, we would like to make it more and more advanced and always updated with latest Joomla and required extensions. This is only template that comes from Aplikko and we have all focus on Flex.
Basically, there is no problem to update 3.x template to latest Joomla version, since this is a core of this CMS, more over the focus is to have always updated extensions: SP Page Builder (version 2 is coming soon), SP Simple Portfolio, Virtuemart, etc.
So, we are not releasing new template soon, but rather updates and improvements for Flex.

first days had some problem… but with good support of flex. now im running smooth without any problem, thanks to your great support.
some improvement in template will be excellent. virtuemart cart in offcanvas position only have product name & price & image, it is an important feature for web shops to place ‘remove product from cart’ button & add ability to change quantity of products in mini shoping cart. glad to see this feature in the next release.

Hello, Very good template, had some problems first day with prices (didnt show) but i managed and solve it One question is with Google map API.. few days ago, google wants to put an API for google maps to work.. or we see a message “This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.”
Can you please tell us where and how to put API key? *Its for sure somewhere to Page builder.. as i saw, joomshaper allready solved it with new version of page builder.. Thanks in advance
Yes, this issue with Google maps is happening to everybody). This error is due to changes in Google API, from June 22nd.
So, it seems that you have to have API key from Google, if you are starting a new website (domain) after June 22nd, 2016.
You could apply “quick” fix, what some other Flex’s customers did as well: in your template’s admin > Custom Code (tab) and add custom html code before/head:
<script src=”//maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?key=YOUR KEY HERE&callback=initMap” type=”text/javascript”></script>
Where “YOUR KEY HERE” is = your custom Google map API Key.
Notice: new Flex update, including this fix (field where you can put API Key) is coming in next few days. Stay informed.
Kind regards.
you are simply THE BEST in support and i am very glad i started business with you! what else can i say?? and it is only my first day with your template!
Nice job!!
Thank you!

can i use EasyBlog whit flex theme?
Hi Alextender,
We didn’t test Flex with EasyBlog, but I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be “compatible” with Flex. Only important thing would be, if EasyBlog is working with jQuery and it seems it does. No Mootools library “on the horizon” on their demo site, which is great news.
I have to mention that from Flex 1.5 version, Flex is coming with “Include Component” Plugin, where so many things are possible. To insert pages from SP Page Builder to Joomla articles or other components and vice versa, can be done with this plugin. This could help making potentially EasyBlog page (component) to insert into Joomla’s native article, or SP Page Builder’s page. So, combinations are becoming limitless. You can check more about “Include Component” in your documentation (for Flex).
In upcoming Flex 1.6 we will implement “Custom Post” format where you will be able to insert also “Include Component” shortcode.
Kind regards.

Hi,
I want to buy this template. However, I want to know if it will will be compatible with JEvents? I don’t even know much about JEvents, I just want to know if you have tested it on this template. If you have, please let me know the results. I just want to know how much additional styling I will have to do to accommodate that component.
Thanks. The template looks great!
Hi okanime,
We didn’t test Flex with jEvents, but I see no reason why it wouldn’t be “compatible” with Flex. Only problem that could potentially rise is Mootools library conflict with jQuery. On their demo page it seems that the page is loading Mootools which is not promising for start, but it seems also that jEvents is “running” on jQuery. jQuery is native javascript library for Joomla 3+ and Mootools is old library that is not supported by new Joomla (3.x).
I have to mention that from Flex 1.5 version, Flex is coming with “Include Component” Plugin, where so many things are possible. “Include Component” Plugin is stretching Joomla to a new dimension. To insert pages from SP Page Builder to Blog (Joomla articles) or other components and vice versa, can be done with this plugin and it makes Flex even more “flexible” and “stretchable”. We have included Virtuemart’s page (component) right in the middle of SP Page Builder’s page at “Onepage” demo > “Shop” section. This could help making potentially jEvents page (component) to insert into Joomla’s native article, or SP Page Builder’s page.
Kind regards.
Thanks for the quick response. I have bought. Downloading…

Hi,
I have a question about your regular license. I am a freelancer and I have several domain names and for each domain I build my own website, but they are all for my own company/myself and I do not sell them.
Can I buy just one regular lisence and use this for my websites?
Thanks, Olivier

Hi, great job. A question. I have activated the coming soon page. How can I enter the frontend area, to see the changes I do in the backend. Do I have, each time I work on the page, to disable the coming soon page?
Hi MariosGkikas,
If you activate “Coming Soon Mode” in template’s admin, it will show Flex’s Coming Soon Page with countdown clock, background, etc. But, if you activate “Site Offline” in your Configuration > Site Settings, then “Site Offline”, login with message will display at the front-end. So, “Site Offline” will override all other settings. “Coming Soon Mode” is not for “preview” mode at the front-end, but rather when you want to show when it is “coming live”.
If you activate “Site Offline”, once you logged in (front-end), you will be only one to see changes made on the website. Site will be “offline” for everybody else.
I hope this answers your question.
Kind regards.

Are you going to make a magazine/news portal version?
Thanks.
Hi FourthSheep,
I believe I’ve sent you an email 3 days ago on this subject?
We are not planning to have magazine/news portal version in the near future , before summer at least. I can’t tell when. We are busy making everything for next update of Flex.
Again, I have to mention that with “Include Component” Plugin, that came with the latest Flex version (1.5), so many things are possible. To insert pages form SP Page Builder to Blog (Joomla articles) or other components and vice versa, can be done with this plugin and it makes Flex even more “flexible” and “stretchable”. This could help making of possible news portal/magazine demo layout. We have to wait and see how is Flex developing.
