It seems Revolution slider with parallax applied to it breaks the mouse scrolling on the site. I can’t scroll with the mouse just if I drag the scroll bar. Do you know why is that? No console error message whatsoever but it does stops the mouse scroll function..

Visual Composer appears to be missing. I checked Plugins panel and zip file. I don’t see any plugins that are supposed to come with the theme. All I see are Akismet, Hello Dolly, Jetpack by WordPress.com and MOJO Marketplace. We are using a fresh install of Wordpress 4.5.2

You have it in a 1/4 column – it can only display as large as that column is. You’d need to make the column larger in order to have it display larger

The Nectar Slider still doesn’t have this as an option however something similar will be coming in future releases – if you’d like to use Rev slider you can as well though

Hi, the path Salient is generating to locate loader.gif in the prettyphoto.js file looks like this: /wp-content/themes/salient/css/img/prettyPhoto/dark_rounded/loader.gif
But this is causing broken link errors. It should be: /wp-content/themes/salient/img/prettyPhoto/dark_rounded/loader.gif

They simply have different pages created to illustrate different design possibilities with the various elements + different theme styling options.

It looks like you have a plugin active that also is loading a lightbox on the click event in addition to the theme lightbox – can you verify this is the case?

It seems to be conflicting with the NextGen gallery plugin. This is a very popular plugin.
Could you try turning off “Auto Lightbox Image Links” in the Salient options panel > general settings > functionality tab?
I have tried that. Now the lightbox function in the plugin itself does not work. Very odd!
I’ve noted to add an option to remove the theme lightbox script all together in the next minor update
So what should I do, if I want to have the lightbox enabled?

Sorry for the late reply regarding our chat at the bottom of page 882 about re-entering a one page setup from a blog or shop page using http://csmurphy.com/#Home. Yes, I have tried that however, the links just hang there and don’t go to the page. I’m not sure why that’s happening.
Another thing that happens is that those links interrupt the seamless one page scroll feature that I have from section to section. Is there a way for the one page buttons to know when they’re navigating the one page setup so there isn’t a page change when there doesn’t need to be?
One other thing please.. .
I noticed in my store that when I select a product on my page that the back space on any browser doesn’t take the user back to the products page to chose something else. Again it just hangs there between pages and displays nothing.
An example would be this link here http://csmurphy.com/store/. If you select the Prince Print below the nectar slider to view the item, you can never back page to the products page.
Any ideas sir?

1. In order to fix this you’ll need to active the option in the page transitions tab of the Salient options panel to “Disable Fade Out On Click”
2. This is a known issue with the latest Firefox when using page transitions – the fix for this will be included in the upcoming bug fix related update (7.0.9)

Long time owner here. I have a couple small bugs I wanted to ask you about. The first bug is all of our “add to cart” buttons are a dark gray box without padding as opposed to the nice non-box “add to cart” link seen from your eCommerce template.
The second bug is very frustrating, For some reason on our homepage the large background image boxes are disappearing in mobile view (showing only a sliver of image) which is not acting responsive.

2. I’ve noted to sort this bug out for the next release 0 for now open your responsive.css file and remove this section:

My support has recently run out (but I’m most likely needing to purchase another license soon…Salient is my go-to-theme!)—I’m hoping that you can help with a question about updating. Like others, my client’s website was recently updated to the latest version of Wordpress, and now we no longer have access to the Visual Composer. In order to fix this problem, I know I need to update the theme but am having trouble figuring out the best way of going about it…
When building the site, I made modifications/changes to the CSS via Salient Panel (Salient > General Settings > Custom CSS Code) and the single.php file. I would assume that updating the theme via Wordpress admin panel would result in losing those changes. What’s the best way to update without losing the changes to the CSS and single.php file? Is creating a child theme the only/best way?

Updating will remove the mods to your single.php file so make sure to back that up – and preferably move them into a child theme. Any css added in the options panel will persist through the update though

Hey, have you tried to reupload a logo for all logo upload fields in the header nav? retina and non, as well as in the transparency tab (if you’re using a transparent header)
I uploaded a new logo to the media library and replaced it in the header nav fields (retina, non, and transparency), but it didn’t work. Any other ideas on what could be happening?

Hi. This is a pre-purchase question. I like your theme. My needs are not big. What I need is a theme that will give me a homepage with a Grid or Masonry, portfolio or gallery, that I can have thumbnails with titles that click to single images, gallery slideshows, and a video player that open in a lightbox overlay. Can I achieve this with this theme? Thank you.
I really just want everything, single images, galleries, and video to be viewable in lightbox overlays, without going to a separate page.

As of now Salient can only show images/videos in the lightbox for the portfolio – if you want one item in the grid to have a lightbox slideshow for just that item unfortunately this would take some custom development
