I am having a problem with all pages except homepage forever loading. I have tried to recreate the pages but once I try and set up the blog page it just never loads. If I change the Front Page Displays back and forth between Blog and select I can very briefly see the blog page (though it is shadowed over)
Once again answered my own question. When pages are made somehow blank background images are showing up that have to be deleted in the customizer on the specific pages. After deleting these background image layers the pages load.
By the way, theme looks great – just a little dodgy being Layers based.
I do think it is something during the install or saving process – but the server’s and php are not the problem. It is somehow generating empty image sections in the background layer and this will not let the page load. Maybe you should do a loop that kicks out the layer if it is empty. There is no reason that an empty layer section should hang the page load.
If you update to the latest Skrollex version 1.1.1 the empty images should not prevent loading. Please try to update.

LOVE this theme. I was working on “Polly” last night and all was fine. I woke up today to work on it and the page is perpetually loading. Is this something I have done with a setting? This is most likely due to one of two problems:
1) you are using an older version of PHP (supported 5.4+);
2) on your server, network connections from PHP code are blocked, including a connection with itself.
If you do provide temporary access to the administrative panel, then I can say for sure. You can send private data via the contact form in my profile on right.

Skrollex is a theme. There are plugins for e-commerce including plugins for Layers. Theoretically plugins should work with all themes, but Skrollex not tested with third-party plugins. Unfortunately I can not guarantee compatibility with any of them either and at present, I have no information from users about compatibility with any plugins for e-commerce.
For this reason, I do not declare any support of tools for e-commerce in the product description.

I just bought and installed this theme (Skrollex). Layers is installed and activated, as are Easy FancyBox and Contact Form 7. I added a page, using the Lynda pre-set. Though the page displays, only the top part with the loading animation shows, though I see the page sections content when looking at Customising > Edit Layout > Home Page Body and when viewing the page source. Do you have an email address so I can send a link for you to look at please?

The height of the logo is limited because if you do it more, it will not fit in the top menu. To do so would have to somehow change the menu design or scale when scrolling, but this requires coding skills.
But i need to show my logo…..that is too small now( only 40px high)...nth to see…so how can i make it bigger??
also, how can i remove the loading effect when i come to the website at the first time??
Such options are not provided. This can be done only with CSS/JS coding. You can add you code in Customize / CSS and Customize / Header / Addidional Scripts

The logo is resized automatically according to the size of the top menu in which it is located. The heigh of logo can not be greater then heigh of menu. It does not fit there. How do you imagine that?
If you explain how you would like to place the big logo in Skrollex design, I can tell you the CSS code to be inserted in Customizer for to achieve this. Or you can send a link to an example.

What kind of border you are using. See Customizer / Appearance / Site Border. There is Border 1 or Border 2?

I purchased and installed this template. Layers is installed. After installing this template and activating it, in order to even get the setup screens to load I have to clear my cache. After I get through that and it goes into the setup, it just shows the border and the loading animation. It never goes to the actual web page.

www.brucealanforest.com this is a secondary website. It’s doing the same on both. I’ve tested on MBP, Custom desktop, Asus laptop, iPhone, iPad and I’m getting all the same results. I’ve even used on safari, internet explorer and firefox.
It looks like problems with some third-party plugins, or settings. Try to disable all plugins, and it is better to install theme on a clean wordpress instance. If it do not help, you can send me temporary admin user/password via contact form in my profile. I’ll see what the reason.

Maybe my last question… The menu is a mess because I do not get it!. I have 3 pages and 7 widgets and my layout only have one page and 7 widgets on that page, the one I created in the installation.
I created 7 section widgets based on the demo import. Now I want the menu with those 7 sections widgets (better six!). What am I supposed to achieve that?
Is it possible to assign 2 widget sections to the same menu item?

You can edit menu in Customize / Menus. Use Anchor ID of section for link to the section as it used in default menu. You can also add submenu items.

To add another content area inside the contact section just add column and set width to 24 of 24.
To make the icons can be different, you can use third-party free plugins for wordpress.

Animations and parallax are disabled on mobile for performance reason.

Regarding the icons, some are from http://fontawesome.io/icons/ you are correct.
Others have an li-something in the field. I’ve checked. Which line icons set are you using for this theme? And how does it work? Same as for fontawesome?

Please consider having the social icons tab in the footer as some genesis themes have. The best pratices about content want that, because it’s hard to attract visitors to our website and when they are on it… They should stay the maximum time before they go away so the social profiles on the footer…

You should install Layers WP https://www.layerswp.com/download-layers/
Install Layers WP just like any WordPress theme, but it does not need to be activated. The layers should be displayed in the admin panel in Themes.

By far as I have understood:
One could create wp pages and layers pages. In a layers page one could have as many wifgets areas as one want. One only apply anchor if one creates many layers pages otherwise the widget areas are assigned automatically to the scroll sections.
If I am not correct please let me know.
First question: I have downloaded yesterday the updated file and I haven’t seen any changes… The file size was even the same….

Anchors are only required for those sections for which you want to create links. For example see links in default menu.
In Administration Panel see Appearance / Themes / Skrollex / Theme Details. If you have installed the latest version of Skrollex, there should be displayed version 1.1.0. It have little change for fix style problem in shortcode sx_banner in the latest layers update. stylesheet and skrollex extension have been changed.
Simplest way for change style is a create page from preset. If page preset named as ”...: Page + Site Settings” then page will be created and also these Customizer settings will be changed: ‘Site Settings / Colors’, ‘Site Settings / Fonts’, ‘Site Settings / Appearance / Site Border’. Keep in mind that these changes will affect the entire site. Pages that have been created earlier from a preset with another style can then look bad.
You can also manually change styles (section colors, site colors, backgrounds, fonts etc). See video in the help pages: http://skrollex-wp.x40.ru/alice/theme-help/
You can upload favicon in Layers / Customize / Site Settings / Logo & Title / Site Icon

Hi I have just installed the new license, installed layer, and followed the instruction . the theme is installed, getting difficulty to installing the selected page from the layer, the uRL of the page is different than URL of my home page ( HOW TO RESOLVE IT and make the selected page as the home page) THE PAGE ELEMENTS are totally different than the pages displayed in demo and layer. Appreciate a detailed reply.
You can setup page as home in Admin Console:
Layers / Customize / Site Settings / Static Front Page
If you created a page from a preset, it should be exactly same as in the demo. If not, then send me a link, I’ll see what is wrong or explain it in more details, I’ll try to help.

Council. First, remove any pages that you already tried to create. And first create only one page. By default, it should be the Home, and look like the demo. If you have not changed settings in customizer by youself this should work.

The easiest way to replace whole theme. All content changes will be saved. Unless of course you have not edited theme sources (php, css, js files etc). Editing of the sources are not recommended as can be difficult to next updates. If you’ve already done this, then you can replace only the changed files:

You yourself are set it. Give any id to section. Then you can use this id in links to section. For example in menu. You can leave this field blank, but then you can use links only to page, but not to the section.

Recomended resolutions for all background 1920×1080, for logo recomended height 40px. For extended menu you can use half height: 1920×540
