Hi, I’ve purchased Newsmag theme and applied for one of website, I wanna buy another license for another website. I installed the demo version of the theme on my website http://indianramp.com but images are not visible, not even thumbnails. Can you please let me know how to make them visible. then i can purchase the license.

Unfortunately you do not have the theme active at the moment so I cannot inspect your site. Disappearing images are mainly caused by plugin conflicts as they create a javascript error. Please disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check your images again.

Please make sure you use the latest version of the theme (newsmag 3) as some fixes for the theme panel were added in the current version.Please use this guide to update your theme: http://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ (the link is from newspaper but the method applies to newsmag also) If you still have trouble with the theme panel settings after you update (or if you are already up to date) please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can inspect the theme panel and identify the problem.

I am about to purchase one of your themes. Still deciding between NewsMag and Newspaper. My deciding question: Which theme is more lightweight? Please give me an honest answer and that is the theme that I will buy.
I plan on using CDN, CloudFare, caching, minify, etc… all of the tricks.

Out of our 2 themes, newsmag is the ‘lighter’ one. You can use cdn and cludflare as well as caching, As for the minify, please also use cludflare not other tools (if you decide to buy our theme). Hi, I’ve removed the author in the theme options and also downloaded plugin for that, but when i am posting some article in Facebook, still appears “Name of article I From: Author” there’s something to do about this?

Facebook will grab all information it can scrape and that include the author even if you disable it from the theme panel. Our theme has no setting to hide the author for facebook but you can try to remove this code – http://screencast.com/t/Ack17APQQZdO then use FB debugger(fetch new scrape) to check you post – https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

You have a bug in NewsMag 2 that block some functions on Retina displays. In tagdiv_theme.js around line 1545 code should be:

Thanks for noticing this, we will investigate and we will fix it. This code was written before wordpress 4.4 when the responsive images and the srcset parameter were introduced.

Just wanted to let you know of a bug. I reinstalled the new version of the theme today, and exported the setting before that. After the install, I imported the old settings, but it didn’t fully work. The block settings and font colors were changed, and the font-size was bigger.

If you updated to newsmag 3, you also need to update your version of the social counter. Please disable and delete files from here: http://screencast.com/t/RHIsCpIqdZ and install the new version of the social counter from the thme panel-> plugins section: http://screencast.com/t/wXfA9JrbDY You can do the same operation for visual composer.

The Newsmag live demo was not updated to the latest version but all these errors were fixed, so please make sure you use the latest theme version on your site and test it and see if you have the same errors, it should not be any problems. We did not updated the live demo because we prepare a major update, more features and improvements will be implemented to the theme.

Pre sales question. I’ve had a wee look through the theme and notice that the Facebook likes, twitter followers and youtube subscribers dont match what’s on the social counter and what is on your actual facebook, twitter and youtube. Had a read through the comments and this also seems to be an issue with instagram and other social media that it can link to. Is there a fix coming for this.

The social counter is not a live update so you will see a few discrepancies between the counter and the actual number until the counter is updated. It will only make a few request per day in order to keep server load at a minimum. The one on our demo was not yet updated as a few changes were made. We are working on releasing an update for newsmag very soon so we have not yet updated the demo.

Hi, is Smart List compatible with Infinite Scroll? I tried using Smart List with it but when I scroll down and the next post loads which is also a Smart List, it becomes just a regular post, though the ‘prev’ and ‘next’ button remains but is not working.

Unfortunately we have not tested infinite scroll on posts with our theme so we cannot say for sure if smart lists will work with such a feature.

I have the same issue as several other people reported lately: no images are showing up. Removed all plugins, so it is not a conflict with the js loading.

A js error can be also caused by custom modification, so please remove any custom code you might have in place and restore the theme to it;s default code. After you disable all plugins, please make sure you also clear all caches. For me when I went into theme options and disabled, “Lazy Loading”, all the images came back. I’ve read around the web many themes have this error after updating to Wordpress 4.5.
Hi,
The lazyload animation is the first to break on a js error. The images reappear if you deactivate the image animations but this does not mean the error is gone unfortunately. It only means that the images will no longer disappear, but other parts of the site could be affected. You can use your browser inspector and check the console. The error is listed there. Then deactivate thew plugins and check for the error again. If it;s gone, then identify the one that causes it.
