How do I hide the author profile at the bottom of one single post?
Is there some simple CSS I can add to the Custom CSS on the post page?

You can turn this off in the Salient options panel > blog > functionality tab. The option is called “Author’s Bio”

Recently I’ve noticed since upgrading to 4.5.2 visual composer has stopped working. Basically what happens is when I go to a page that is using the custom builder it shows the menu but doesn’t show the actual editable layout.
Today I tried upgrading to the latest version of salient as it appears you have tweaked that version to ensure compatability.
I can see any errors to know what the issue is. I’m currently running 4.5.2 and the version of visual composer is 4.9.2
The install required plugins section actually says I’m behind a few versions and the latest of Salient Visual Composer is 4.11.2.
When I try to update however it says “To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your Visual Composer.”
However when I go to the settings section it says
“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
I’m an admin of the website however so I should have everything I need, please let me know what I need to do.
Ok, I deleted the plugin and reinstalled it and seems to have resolved the issue. “DOH”, should have checked first sorry.

Yes – the off canvas menu nav is an optional feature. Any of the demo setups can use it or not if desired

Hello,
I am trying to make the responsive (3 lines) menu appear at 1200px instead of 1000px. I am struggling though to do this. This is what I tried but I lose the text on the responsive menu.

I can’t seem to find how to manage which social media buttons show in the header options, where are they? I found the footer options, but not for the header.
Also, have you added a Next’ post and Previous’ post button options at the bottom of a blog for the next update?? i’d really like for this to happen soon, it will help my readers navigate my site much easier!

1. In the header navigation tab in the options panel under the layout related section change your “Header Secondary Nav” back and forth from the header with secondary to get them to show – this bug will be fixed in 7.0.9
2. The next update is bugfixes only but i’ve noted your +1 for that for the feature based release

Hey, it’s an image gallery element set to image grid for the type and title overlaid w/ zoom effect on hover for the style. When adding your images there’s a field in the right hand sidebar attachment details for “Image URL”
Is there some sort of guide that I can look at to show exactly where each font will show? I can’t figure out which font to change to make the the font on the titles of the menus on the side bar of the blog to be smaller. They are so big. Along with the comment and send buttons.
Also, is there a way to make the nectar image galleries show when the blog is in standard blog with sidebar mode? I want my full post to show with all the pictures. If it is not going to show the full post with the galleries how do i make it so it only shows a little with a button to view full post?

1. Are you trying to embed it directly on a page or are you trying to provide a link from your site that will open the file directly in the browser (outside of the site)

Hi there. I’ve been having some problems with my website’s security, and installed a plugin called Wordfence, which finds malicious code in a Wordpress install. I just got two notification from Wordfence about the following theme files:
The first one is: wp-content/plugins/js_composer_salient/assets/lib/php.default/php.default.min.js
This file is a PHP executable file and contains the word ‘eval’ (without quotes) and the word ‘base64_decode(’ (without quotes). The eval() function along with an encoding function like the one mentioned are commonly used by hackers to hide their code. If you know about this file you can choose to ignore it to exclude it from future scans. This file was detected because you have enabled HIGH SENSITIVITY scanning. This option is more aggressive than the usual scans, and may cause false positives.
The second one is: wp-content/themes/salient/nectar/redux-framework/extensions/vendor_support/vendor/ace_editor/mode-php.js
This file appears to be installed by a hacker to perform malicious activity. If you know about this file you can choose to ignore it to exclude it from future scans. The text we found in this file that matches a known malicious file is: “EvalError|InternalError|RangeError|ReferenceError|StopIteration|SyntaxError|TypeError|URIError|decodeURI|decodeURIComponent|encodeURI|encodeURIComponent|eval|isFinite|isNaN|parseFloat|parseInt|JSON|Ma…”. The infection type is: Suspicious eval with base64 decode. This file was detected because you have enabled “Scan images, binary, and other files as if they were executable”, which treats non-PHP files as if they were PHP code. This option is more aggressive than the usual scans, and may cause false positives.
Can you confirm whether these files are safe, or if they should be deleted? If the code being referred to in the errors are harmless, I’ll just ignore the notifications.

That file inside of the visual composer wp-content/plugins/js_composer_salient/assets/lib/php.default/php.default.min.js is included in the raw visual composer plugin and is a known false positive http://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431/comments?utf8=%E2%9C%93&term=assets%2Flib%2Fphp.default%2Fphp.default.min.js&from_buyers_and_authors_only=0
2. This is also a false positive as it’s picking up the base64 reference which is only there for syntax highlighting and also is an untouched raw file included with ace editor https://ace.c9.io/#nav=about

I updated my them files as well as all plugins and wordpress platform. I also reinstalled the visual composer with the new theme files but am still having issue with the visual composer.
