Hi, Chris. Thanks for always providing great tech support. I have a small concern via Private Ticket #794624. Regarding accuracy of customizing header color. Please take a look. Thank you, and have a great day.

Not a problem, glad to help! I just personally responded, it uses the secondary background color option for the “Find Your Home” header on the homepage.

Hi guys, which template page should I use to set a blog? Thanks

No need to set a “page”, that option in Settings > Reading is actually being removed from WordPress core pretty soon, however just go into Appearance > Menus > add your top level “Blog” category and you’ll be all set. Thanks again for your purchase!

Okay, thank you. One more question: How can I update the theme correctly? I try updating by unpacking the zip file of the update and I wasn’t successful. Thanks for the support.

Pre-sale?:

We want to rent properties by the month only…is this possible?

And to be clear a user/owner of a home can register/submit & pay a fee per property listed per year… then a user on the site can contact them with a send a message to owner to rent it offline between them and the owner?

let me know…thx

Thanks!

  1. Yes, you can assign/display listings as monthly, weekly, daily, bi-monthly, yearly, etc…whatever you’d like.
  2. Yes, the system is very basic out of the box it allows for a simple single PayPal payment to be made for adding the listing, which then an admin has to approve/publish once they’ve confirmed payment.
  3. Yes, whomever has posted the listing their contact information is now tied to said listing so the form you see at the bottom of each would go to them. Then of course any outside conversation is done via email, phone, etc…
  4. Now that would be handled through the booking plugin, I’ve included the free version of WP Booking with the demo (see all features here), there are also paid versions of said plugin that offer more features, etc…depending on your needs. However you are by no means tied to using the one I included, you’re free to use whatever booking plugin you’d like there’s tons of choices out there.

great thank you for the prompt response!

Can the admin change the “owner” “contact” info also of the new listing before approving to list if needed/wanted?

Definitely, its as easy as assigning a new user/agent to it screenshot. Or by editing that users/agents information in their profile via the backend admin, although that same user can always edit their info from the front end account settings page as well.

Hi, How do I create forms in this theme

It has a bunch built in however if you’re referring to creating custom forms to use within pages, etc…I’d recommend using the https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/ plugin for that, also take a look at http://contempothemes.com/wp-real-estate-7/documentation/#templates

Hi ,Hope You Doing Well! I want to Make three featured listings colomn on Home Page For Rent ,Buy and Developer Section.I want to know How to make Three Featured Section On Home Page ???Thanks

You can use one of the Page Builder sections for that in conjunction with Visual Composer and the CT Listing module, checkout http://contempothemes.com/wp-real-estate-7/documentation/#homepage and http://contempothemes.com/wp-real-estate-7/documentation/#visualcomposer, thanks for your purchase!

Hello Chris, can you help me with ticket #789309. It’s 5 days old.

Odd, must have gotten lost in the mix. I just personally responded need your WP admin details and I’ll take a look. Thanks for your patience.

Theme Customizer is now stuck on ”Saved” (can’t save!). I noticed you have had this problem before with the Redux framework. I am completely up to date on my version of the theme.

I’ve found a workaround for the meantime if you install the Redux Framework plugin via your WordPress admin it’ll work for the time being, until they get the other updated.

The plugin seems to have fixed the problem, at least until they make the update. I really appreciate how quickly you addressed this and came up with a solution!

Not a problem, I’m hoping they can get an update released soon as well! If you haven’t already please be sure to rate the theme in your http://themeforest.net/downloads area — 5 stars is always very, very much appreciated!

I would like to change the colour of the show.hide and also the ticks in property features without having to do it again every time theres an update. Could you possibly help with the custom css. This for example doesn´t seem to work }

.show-hide {
   background-color: b3a385;

The “Show/Hide” actually uses the Secondary Background Color option in the Create a Skin panel but if you want to just target those two items, add this to Real Estate 7 Options > Custom CSS:

span.map-toggle, span.search-toggle { background-color: #27ae60;}
.single-listings .fa-check-square { color: #27ae60;}

As always thanks for your purchase!

Hi,

Few pre-sale questions:

1) Is demo content included with theme? 2) Is it easy to remove the Login/Reigster button from navigational menu? 3) My client won’t need the search functionality on the home page – can this be easily removed? 4) is it possible to add a full screen section where it displays a gallery of images?

Cheers

  1. Yes, everything you see is included in the one click demo imports.
  2. Yes, you can simply enable or disable the Front End System with a single click (screenshot)
  3. Yes, you can drag & drop to disable that in the Layout Manager (screenshot) along with everything else on the Homepage.
  4. Yes, you could easily create that by using Visual Composer which is included with the theme ($34 value, free!)

Hi, Chris. No one replies on my concern yet. I followed your tutorials, and I could not customize the colors on my css. The ‘Save and Publish’ button seems to be disabled, and when I try to configure other colors, no changes are applied even in real-time. I activated the ‘use custome styles’ already. Please advice further instructions.

I’ve found a workaround for the meantime if you install the Redux Framework plugin via your WordPress admin it’ll work for the time being, until they get the other updated.

Hi, Chris. It works! Thank you for providing a solution. I responded my thanks also with Hina S. via Private Ticket. Enjoy the rest of the day.

Glad to help, thanks again for your purchase!

Big New Feature Coming This Week — “Whats Nearby?” Powered by Yelp!

I’ve integrated the Yelp API so you can display “What’s Nearby?” for your listings as an option, this includes restaurants, grocery stores, schools, coffee shops, etc…

Checkout the Demo!

Hi, how can I change the map icon color and the location that it’s displayed in the maps.

Checkout the “Overwriting Images in your Child Theme” steps under the Child Themes section of the documentation http://contempothemes.com/wp-real-estate-7/documentation/#childthemes, thanks for your purchase!

okay, thank you! How can I display specific listings in one single page? Thanks again

You can use the Visual Composer > CT Listings module for to insert listings into page content. Checkout http://contempothemes.com/wp-real-estate-7/documentation/#visualcomposer

Can the theme automatically give ID numbers to listings? if yes how

It already does by the way WordPress assigns an ID to each listing whenever one is created, thats a core feature which is what I would recommend using. However if you’re referring to something like a say 5 digit auto generated number maybe also with alpha characters for example that would require a fair amount of custom development but it is possible, however something like this is outside the scope of my normal support, hope you understand.

Can I ask if it is possible to show listings in the same suburb as the selected listing. currently I can see listings in the same community as selected listing.

You actually have the choice of “Community, District or Neighborhood” via Real Estate 7 Options > Listings > screenshot, I’ll add Suburb as an option in the next update.

yes pleeeeease. Thank you We need it

Decided to go ahead and integrate the API already just about done, new feature will be released this week!
