Re: footer columns – No – not at present – sorry. You would need a good bit of custom code to change this which is beyond support scope.
We will have some additional headers over the next couple of months but I don’t have a firm timeframe at the moment.

Hi there – the News Page (or Blog Archive) page in WordPress isn’t directly editable – it’s a container template which posts are added to via a loop. The file is archive.php – you could edit that within a child theme I guess.

Hi, I wanted to say thanks – the theme works amazing so far! I’ve read one of your earlier comments, saying that Mega Menu integration works with this theme. Since I need to have the sub menu full width with menu items arranged in 4 or 5 columns, I’ve tried to integrate the “Max Mega Menu” plugin and also WR Mega Menu. However these plugins change the default style of the menu, which is a non desired side effect. The kind of menu which you use in your Fintech template demo (under “about us”) would be perfect for what I need. Is there maybe an easier way to do this?

Thanks for the kind words! So before anything, ensure you’ve updated the theme to the latest version.
What issues were you having incorporating our built in mega menu exactly? It’s in Appearance > Widgets – ‘Top Toolbar – Left’ and ‘Top Toolbar – Right’
Widgets also control the sidebars and footer so take a look around that section to see what’s in there.

Re: Our Team – I’m not 100% sure exactly what you’re looking for exactly, Visual Composer allows you to create a nice simple row, broken into columns where you can add an image and a bio to each. Our testimonials example page might give you something along those lines:

You mean on the News Listings page? The ‘Read more’ text isn’t in the theme – it’s within WordPress. If you change the Site Language within Settings > General – it should automatically translate. Re: red to green – can you shoot a link to your site via the ‘Support’ tab at the top and I’ll take a look.

Hi, I have been using your theme for some time now. Recently I have updated to the most recent version and I noticed the yellow sliding bar under the menu link will not change colour from the original yellow. Here is a link to the website www.ddtechnical-catering.com

Hmm odd – I’ll take a look and see on dev why the dynamic color isn’t kicking in. For now, try this solution.
First add this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/Then, within Appearance > Custom CSS, add this:
.cg-primary-menu .menu > li > a:before { background: red; }
Changing ‘red’ to your own #hex.
Just as an aside, you may need to lose one of your header widgets or tweak the logo container width setting within Theme Options > Logos – to make everything fit neatly in the header.

You can change this within Appearance > Menus
Within that – goto ‘Screen Options’ at the top and ensure ‘CSS Classes’ are ticked. Now, when you open a menu item e.g. Downloads you’ll see a couple of extra classes are added to make it go to the right and have an icon. You can add these to any menu item.

Hello,
I updated the theme to today’s date, and still works the visual composer, I have to do to make it work? I have not renamed any subject, same name, both the subject factory as the factory-child.

This is how I would do it:
First switch to the parent theme, Factory. (not the child theme)
1.) Install this plugin – this makes it very easy to update the theme (which has the new version of Visual Composer inside it) https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/2.) Download the latest version of the theme from http://themeforest.net/downloads – just the theme zip – not the main zip package with docs etc.
3.) Go to Appearance -> Themes -> Add new -> Upload. Select the zip file you downloaded in Step 2. Ensure you select “Yes” from the dropdown to confirm you’re updating an existing theme (as described here https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/)
4.) Once the theme has been upgraded go to Appearance -> Install Plugins – you should see an “Update” button under Visual Composer – click it – the rest should the happen automatically.

I followed all the steps religiously but point 4 was not shown.
other updates that were proceeded to upgrade , but the visual composer plugin not shown on the screen. Once you update all plugin, minus the visual composer because he was not on the list, the button to install plugn Appearance disappeared.
I think I’m wrong about this plugin, I thought the user could visually edit directly on the web , but as it is not, this is just for layout , right?
Try the following:
- Download the latest version of the theme from Themeforest and unzip it
- Within ThemeInstall/factory.zip – unzip this also
- Visual Composer is this file: inc/plugins/js_composer.zip
- Go to ‘Plugins’ in WordPress and disable and delete the current version of Visual Composer
- Upload this new one via Plugins > Add New
If you still have issues after all that submit a ticket via the ‘Support’ tab at the top of this page and include your site link and WordPress admin login.

Is it possible to put 3 footer widgets in full width instead 4? I tried removing 1 out of 4 but it shows black space of 4th. I want to put 3 widgets only.
Apart from this, I’d like to draw your attention to one thing. In main menu in drop down list it highlights all subs in same color. It can confuse visitors. Please see attached image.

Re: Footer widgets – you’ll need to edit a file. Within /themes/factory/functions.php – look for line 532 within the ‘First Footer’ section.
Change col-lg-3 col-md-3 to col-lg-4 col-md-4
Re: Main drop down list – I’ve taken a look at this and think I have a solution so that they’ll behave like the regular nav items. I’ll do a bit more testing when I’m back in the office on Monday and if it’s all good, push it as part of a theme update during the week.

How I update LayerSlider? Its saying “You have version 5.6.2. The latest version is 5.6.8.” There is 6 newer versions available including many security updates!

Hi tpe – an update for Factory is now available which includes the latest Layerslider 5.6.8.
After updating the theme, you can update the plugin within Appearance > Install Plugins.

I did update theme to version 1.3.1. In plugins page its saying that Layer slider needs to update. Current version 5.6.2, Minimum required version 5.6.8. Available version 5.6.8. When I click update, it says that you are already using latest version.
