Hi AndonDesign, we are willing to buy this theme, but we need a fixed Global Width of 1600px. Your manual says 1200px is the maximum. Can you simply adjust this to 1600px? Or does it require custom coding? Thank you. Regards.

I must have missed to update that in the documentation, Yes, you can do 1600px width. Just go with what you can actually do when you play with the theme’s options, you can set that width from the theme’s “Layout Options”, and I normally provide option specific info besides the option of what the limits are.

Hi, we would like to know if there is a license for the usage of multiple websites which we manage ourselves? We are looking for a website of which the structure remains the same, however the language and the domain name change per website.

I would appreciate a theme option to hide the slogan, but still be visible to search engines (I consider the tagline to be an important branding tool), e.g.:

this can easily be achieved with CSS, you have to understand that there are literary hundreds of little options like this that can be added but at what cost?? I would like to keep the theme clean and to the point with only really necessary options, otherwise it becomes options overload which is never good and overwhelming to the user. Things that can easily be taken care of with little CSS there’s no point to have an option for, that’s what “child” themes are for.
Additionally, the tag line plays no significance for SEO from mark-up perspective because it’s not a Heading (eg. H1 or H2 tag for example), it’s just a simple “div”. So feel free to move it else where with a different tag if you’d like. You can also hide it with “text-indent” CSS property.

In my temp site for a client here (http://server.imaclientserver.com/~cehac24/wpdev) the nav bar/menu crosses over the logo once the screen hits a littler over 1000px.
Is there some CSS I can use to make the menu go to mobile design once it hits 1000px?

I’ve been using U-Design on site with a child theme (no mods to header.php) for months without any problem but all of a sudden the mobile menu has disappeared? Is this a common problem on U-Design? Is there an easy fix? www.alignedleisure.com.au

My theme support has conveniently expired – there was no issue during the initial support period, then conveniently,after support expiry , this issue started occuring

BTW, if you had purchased the theme prior to Sept. 1st, 2015 then your support status should be “Grandfathered” in the support forum and you should be able to post questions like regular Members, for that though you’d still need to sign into the forum by clicking the green button “Sign in with Envato”: http://dreamthemedesign.com/u-design-support/

On further investigation, the error is Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: a[href=#top] And from what I can see, it’s a problem with your theme: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wordpress-45-uncaught-error-syntax-error-unrecognized-expression-ahref
looks like you need to update your theme, if you read the theme’s Changelog I released an update recently for WordPress 4.5+ compatibility which takes care of that exact issue.

yeah, updating the theme is not affected by support expiration, you should always be able to update

Unfortunately, Envato/ThemeForest does not offer some sort of evaluation period for themes. Due to the nature of digital products, it’s not possible to “return” them after some use. Therefore, refunds can only be given for products that are broken and do not work as described. I can assure you that none of my products are broken. I came here today to have a look at comments after updating my theme and BEFORE I upgrade the wordpress itself, just to see how things are working out. I always do that. I see some of you are speaking to support issues. I can attest that Andon’s support for this theme is AWESOME. I purchased this theme some time ago, not sure exactly when, but I still get support from him whenever I ask. I would wager that even some of you who may not be “grandfathered in”, something btw that Andon was not REQUIRED to do, would still be able to get any help you may need just by asking Andon directly. He’s special that way. WTG Andon. Now, off to update the wordpress and see If stupid old me is gonna have to bug him too . LOL,

I have a friend who has a site with installed u-design and the web-master who has purchased the theme does not want to give theme forest API key in order to update the theme.
Can I do something?

Once the theme is purchased, future updates are free with that account, so unfortunately the way ThemeForest.net is setup only the owner of that account can have access to the theme that was originally purchased.
Since you’re not in touch with the person that purchased the theme originally, it’s impossible to get updates for that license.
In general, it’s best for the person that owns the website to have purchased their own license of the theme, that way they will be independent of anyone maintaining their website for future updates or access to support forum since the purchase code is required to register in the support forum.

well depends what version they currently have, in general they need to update because older releases of the theme will not be compatible with the latest WordPress 4.5+

Hi it just me or the other have same issues. when wordpress updated this theme backend going super slow, and even stop when i was trying to make new page, new post, or editing some page using add on Plugin VC. That just loading and still loading, i can’t even add some element like row, etc. and the worst thing, my support licensed was expired, and need to pay another $41 just for ask this problem to you guys.

Your issue sounds is specific to your setup, I haven’t had anybody else report this. Make sure to update WordPress, the theme and all your plugins, it’s crucial to keep up with update for maximum compatibility. The theme’s latest release is v2.10.2 and Visual Composer v4.11.2.1, so make sure you have those installed.
Also it’s not excluded that your server or hosting might be experiencing some networking or hardware issues at the moment, especially if you’re on shared hosting, there are too many variable to know without further investigating.

I upgraded my U-design theme because I was constantly having the page ‘break’ (become unviewable) when I entered links. I received the upgrade with no improvement in this situation. Obviously, I can’t have a page become unviewable when I post links and images. The frustrating thing is that it does not occur for all links or on all pages. I’ve spent $300 working with my IT support to try to get this figured out and it comes down to the U-design theme no longer working properly. Any hope in sight? I have liked working within this theme up until the last couple of months. It has been getting worse until we hit the wall today and it is causing pages to become nonfunctional. Will I need to totally retool my website with a new theme because of this U-design flaw?

did you consult with us (support forum) about this first before going hiring someone, you should not have to do that if you believe it’s a theme bug, although this is the first I hear of that so it could very well be specific to your setup or WP instance, it will need further investigating on my part to be able to tell you more. I’m not sure what you mean by purchasing API keys, that’s definitely not an option on Envato marketplace, you cannot purchase API keys but you can purchase an item, be it a theme or plugin, etc. Once you purchase your own license of the U-Design theme you can then have as many API keys for the theme as you need, this is actually part of the Envato user Accounts under Settings where you can generate your API keys for free. If I misunderstood your questions please clarify what you meant by API key?
