Hi there! I have some questions about how to properly setting up the BBpress & Buddypress with 15Zine, since I wish to have both the social networking and the Forums.
1. I wish to have a Log-in & Register widget on the front-page, so the already existing users can just login and the new ones can easily register. do I add the Login with Ajax-widget? That widget doesnt show Register, only login? 2. What settings do I need to do in the Login with Ajax in the admin setting to make everything work? Is it for example Modal or Default? 3. If I wish to have the Register feature on the front-page, in the menu or as a widget – do I need to have some URL´s for that? I don’t get it. 4. I don’t want the registering users to be directed to the ugly wordpress admin login page, I´d love if they could be directed to the 15Zine profile page directly and make their registration there. Is that possible? 5. If a user registers with the Ajax login, do they automatically become members and can access Forums as well? 6. If you login and make purchases in the shop (not existing yet), is that within the same user profile? 7. How do I add the Forums to the menu?
Sorry for all the questions, I just really want to set this up correctly as soon as possible and I just don’t understand how 
One more thing about question NR1: In your Live demo, I see that the login/register button in the top menu actually has the REGISTER feature – where do you activate that? Do I need to activate anything in my wordpress admin settings for registration? I tried to find any similar settings but I can’t seem to find it.

Hope you’re well
1- Yeah, install the recommended login plugin that you see when you install the theme. And then in the theme options you can enable the login button to appear in the main menu/top menu. That button is the most intuitive way for users to login (check big tech sites, that is the way they do it).
2- Just leave it all as default and enable the button mentioned in #1, that is all coded to just work.
3- Same as #1, the register options appear.
4- No need, the ajax login registration in the theme’s modal handles that
5- Yeah, WordPress/bbPress/BuddyPress all use the same WordPress user system, so if a user creates an account, they can use it all if they simply go to the relevant page (forums/buddypress).
6- Yup, WooCommerce also uses the core WordPress user system.
7- You only need to make sure your site allows registrations, go to Settings -> General and ensure you’ve ticked the option to allow people to register (it’s turned off by default).

No existe ninguna posiblidad de poder hacerlo, aunque todavía no esté implementado. Si no , el tema no me sirve 
Principalmente también tengo que realizar una importación de muchos posts, y esa opción debería estar marcada por defecto.

Hi, installed your theme and everything looks fine. However, when previewing posts, it shows a blank screen. I have to refresh the page to see the preview. This has been happening when navigating through the site as well. Sometimes when I save something in my wordpress account the same issue arises.
Also, for videos, when choosing “replace featured image with video,” the post leaves a large space between the header and the video. Not sure what’s going on. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

That blank screen thing though sounds really odd, and definitely doesn’t happen on the theme demo site nor on other user sites. Can you try disabling all plugins and try again to test? Then activate TwentySixteen theme and try testing again.
Regarding the video, can you share a URL to check out what you mean?

I resolved the blank page issue. It was a server issue on our end.

This happens when selecting “Replace Featured Image with Video.” I attempted to select different “Featured Image Styles” to see if it would resolve the issue but no luck.

Ah that’s good to know! I had a look at the white space and that is really strange, can you test this custom css (add it to your theme options custom css box) and see if it helps:
#cb-featured-image .cb-video-frame-wrap { padding-top: 0 !important; }

I’ve run into a couple of little issues lately that I’m hoping you’ll be able to help with:
1) The ‘number of comments’ box isn’t displaying properly after hitting the ‘Load More’ button. Any idea what could be causing this?
2) Our sticky sidebar seems to have stopped working on Microsoft Edge (it’s still functional on Chrome and Firefox). On a related note: Is there any way to enable sticky sidebars on mobile devices like iPad?

1- Ah I know why that would be, Disqus needs to reload its scripts to work in ajax. I will need to investigate to see if there’s a way to reload them.
2- Can you check the theme demo site and see if it works there?

2) Yep, I’ve checked and the demo site’s sticky sidebar works perfectly on both iPad (Safari) and Edge, so I guess it must be an issue specific to our site.

2- Try refreshing cache/disabling plugins and if possible, install a fresh latest version of the theme (3.0.1) to see if that helps.

1) Fantastic, I look forward to the next update.
2) As suggested, I tried deactivating/reactivating all plugins and doing a fresh install of the latest version of the theme, but sadly to no avail. The sticky sidebars are still non-sticky on iPad and Edge (despite working perfectly on Chrome and Firefox).

Hm, in that case, can you try disabling all plugins (refresh cache before doing so) and see if that has anything to do with it.
I’m afraid that disabling all plugins doesn’t seem to make any difference.

I am trying to remove the dark opacity overlay on the featured image within a “screen width” review post. I’ve spent hours trying all the css overrides I could find on the support site and on the comments here but have not been able to find anything that works. Any ideas?

That is a 15Zine layout option, you simply pick that blog style option for your homepage/category/tag and then your homepage/category/tag will look like that instantly

You’re welcome! Each category/tag/homepage/search/archive/author can have its own blog style set to it. Check in the Features megamenu in the theme demo to see all the blog styles available, one of them is that portrait one. You can then optionally set a slider/grid to appear on top too (category/tag/homepage).
And what exactly do you mean by show header menu? Do you mean make the main menu be sticky? Because if so, yeah, you can set the main menu to be sticky and it would be that way everywhere.
And you can set dark/light skins for the individual parts (top menu/header/main menu/megamenus/body/footer) so if you want to set it all dark, you’d simply set all the blocks to dark

Hello! I tried updating 15zine using the automatic updater in the envato toolkit plugin but it crashed my site. Apparently we had been using an older version of wordpress so our host updated wordpress and restored our site. Now I’m just checking to see if there are any other things I need to make sure are OK before I attempt an automatic update of theme? I’m a little scared to try it again! And that doesn’t sound good, but you should always always always update to the latest WordPress version when they come out, as they usually include important security patches that shouldn’t be ignored. Update your WordPress, all your plugins and then update the theme again, it should all work well

I’ve installed the plugin “Frontend Membership” and it has broken the Modal login registration link up top. The box pops up but I can’t log in with it. I think I need to point that feature to Frontend Membership. This is what there plugin says to do: “Once enabled, you can use css class names to display forms in a modalbox on click event.

How do I make this work in the theme. BTW, I don’t know CSS.

It sounds like an incompatibility between that plugin and login with ajax, the theme creates the modal, but the contents is controlled by the login with ajax plugin, so I recommend contacting the plugin authors and they should be able to help.

Yeah, there are a few shortcodes inbuilt, but I don’t promote them or encourage their use as shortcodes in themes are not good. I only added them because a percentage of users demand them, but I recommend installing a standalone shortcode plugin, this way everything you build with it is independent from your theme and if you ever change themes in the future, you have any to worry about your shortcodes not working any more, which can be a big headache. So I recommend installing a plugin like this one instead: https://wordpress.org/plugins/shortcodes-ultimate/

I haven’t tested the latest WooCommerce update yet, but it looks like it’s a major update with big changes, so I’d recommend not upgrading to it until I officially add support for it in the theme description page! I am on it though, so once I learn all the changes I’ll adjust and release an update.

Hi there! Just tried out this theme on my website and I’m having a few problems… First of all, in mobile view, the dropdown menu covers the entire screen and it’s impossible to navigate out of. Even in menu—> mobile, whichever option I pick has this same problem. The featured images for posts are all different sizes because of previous crops and this looks kind of unpleasant; is there any way to make them all conform to a certain size? Also, all of the sliders aren’t working for me??? I tried looking in the handbook and couldn’t find anything about this. Thanks so much.
