Hi! 1. Thanks! That worked. I’m running the CHILD theme, so I copied header.php to that folder and edited line 268. I presume that is the correct way to use Child. 2. bakeryshoppe.wpengine.com Please make display color #684f40. Hover color (#3d5427) is fine. 3. Map Info Text should be showing “It’s yummy inside!”... but nothing appears in pop-up box.
A couple more tweaks for bakeryshoppe.wpengine.com: 1) see menu “Home V1”: how to remove subtitle in portfolio item hover box? • 2) Can Magnify icon be made to link to individual portfolio item page (instead zooming portfolio pic)? The textual link is not obvious. • 3) Click a portfolio item to go to individual portfolio item: which file to modify to remove the subtitle in both the header and beneath item name (i.e. “All, Specialty”)? • 4) Can the PRICE color be changed to same as header (white)? Hi, Milonga, Love your Bakery theme. We are using it for a client’s website, however we are encountering one problem.
The Shop page is displaying images at different sizes, which looks terrible. The images are not displayed in even rows (they’re showing up more like a masonry style, but it looks funky) and each image is showing up a different size. We’ve tried editing the WooCommerce settings for the image display size – we would like the image thumbnails on the Shop page to be square (perhaps 300×300 pixels). Nothing happens when we change this setting. We have also tried regenerating the thumbnails after changing this setting, but it fails every time whether we try individual or bulk regeneration – probably because the site has a large number of images.
We are stuck! Not sure what else to do…looking for a solution that is not insanely time demanding and doesn’t place a burden on the client to get us new images.

Prior to June 22nd, 2016 the usage of Google Maps API requires a key. So please make sure you have the latest theme version (v1.3.6), generate a key here and insert it in Bakery > 3rd Party.

- You can place the slider anywhere by using Revolution Silder shortcode.
- Photoshop files include can be used in case you wan to make design changes of the theme but the procedure for that is a bit complicated and takes more time.

You have a really old theme version. Today as it can be noticed many versions have been released with a lot of new features, great improvements and bug fixes. WooCommerce support has been added to version 1.2 and onwards. Updating to the current version (v1.3.6) might cause some elements to not work properly.
- The previous slider has been removed and now only Revolution Slider is supported
- ‘Products’ custom post has been replaced with ‘Portfolio’ because of WooCommerce compatibility. You’ll have to insert again all your products to not cause confusion with the WooCommerce’s custom post – ‘Products’
That said, to get WooCommerce working is not so easy for you but after that you’ll have a really better site.

The error occurs when WooCommerce is activated.
Please make sure to follow the steps as below:
- Deactivate Bakery CPT, Visual Composer and Revolution Slider plugins
- Activate the updated theme
- Finally update the plugins from Appearance > Install Plugins

Hi I have purchase the theme and created website on to it there some issues i am facing please guide me best way to resolve it or if possible you can do it your self 1.When we scroll on any product on home page, it gives us three options in yellow highlight: 1) photo enlarge 2)add to cart 3)product page. But all the three symbols have no representational text next to it and the customer would not be able to make out what that particular symbol implies, especially the middle symbol. Please try and see if that is possible 2.Would also like to know if we can start the “Order No.” from #0001 instead of any random order no. like #3278. 3.When we increase the quantity of any product in cart, it does not allow us to update the cart. Please have that feature sorted. 4.When we login, the login tab still appears on the top header. Usually on e-commerce websites, it says, Hi/Welcome, Alaap. But on our website, the login function is still visible which creates confusion in the mind of customer. Following is the statement which the customer sees “Hello alaapcakecity (not alaapcakecity? Sign out). From your account dashboard you can view your recent orders, manage your shipping and billing addresses and edit your password and account details.” This line can get very confusing specially when one sees this with the login function on the header. It doesnt really add to a good experience. When a customer logs in, we should have signout option on top. Post login, if we can just have a simple “Hi, Alaap” and a sign out option on top instead of login option, that will be much better.

- That’s already been fixed in the recent theme update. Just make sure to get the latest theme version.

The best way to update the theme is via FTP. Download the installable WordPress file from the your Downloads page, extract and then upload via FTP. But first make sure to backup the current version by renaming current ‘bakery’ folder name to another name. Nothing will break unless you haven’t made changes in the core files.

That’s because prior to June 22nd, 2016 usage of the Google Maps API requires a key.
The good news is that we have updated the theme to cover these changes and all you should do is get the latest theme version and generate a key. You’ll have the option where to insert the key in Bakery > 3rd Party.

Thanks for your incredibly fast response – very impressive. That worked perfectly. The only thing I’d say is that I only bought & downloaded the theme yesterday so it must have been an older theme I downloaded – I had two emails overnight with theme updates. It was a bit annoying to have to update the theme so soon after just installing yesterday, so maybe you can check the version available on ThemeForest. But other than that I’m really happy with the theme – it’s exactly what I was looking for and very easy to use.
So glad to hear that and happy to have you with us. Regarding the frequent updates I agree, but that does not happen often. The updates are usually made once per month and from now you won’t have to update the theme at least for a while. Enjoy our theme!
Sorry, I’ve another question. When I installed the theme I accidentally imported both sets of demo content. I think this is causing the issues I have now about displaying the products on the home page (for the shop) – specifically there’s different sized boxes, and I also can’t find the option to change the header on the product page which in a different comment you have said is under Bakery > Products. Therefore my questions are: 1. To see Bakery > Products (which I can’t see at the moment) must I only have the shop demo installed? 2. If I reimport the shop demo, does this mean all my site content will be deleted, or is there a way to back this up? Thanks again!
As you have noticed there are two demo versions included. The main difference between them is the support of shop/WooCommerce. The default demo is meant to work without WooCommerce while the other fully supports it. That’s just for you to better understand which demo you really need.
Now you should reset you database using WordPress Database Reset plugin and re-install only the demo you need. You’ll find all related options for the default demo under Bakery > Portfolio, respectively under Bakery > Shop for the shop demo.

Hi, I have purchased the latest version of Visual Composer. However, when I deactivated and deleted the old Visual Composer and uploaded the new one, it allowed me to upload it, but it still won’t work.

I realize my support has expired, but I didn’t have a need to use it once in the first 6 months after purchasing this theme. I’m hoping you can help me figure this out without having to pay to renew for an entire 6 months just to answer one question. I have to launch this site soon for my client and they have taken much longer to get to the launch process than originally planned, hence the 6 month support expiration.

Probably that’s happening because of the outdated theme version you have. If you do not want to update the theme please try to replace only ‘wp-content/themes/bakery/includes/vc-addons/vc-functions.php’ file and see if that works for you. Otherwise you should update the theme to the latest version.

The theme is not giving me the option of updated to the newest version, so I went ahead and purchased the additional support for another 6 months in hopes this option would appear, but it still isn’t. I saw a new version came out today, but I don’t see any place to update and the theme version I’m currently using is 1.2.6. I just updated to WordPress version 4.5.3 too.

I’ve never done this before, why isn’t the option to update to the latest theme version available within the WordPress platform? Is there a simpler way to do this without having to alter the code?

Please make sure you have the latest version of Visual Composer installed. The latest theme version (v1.3.5) includes the latest version of VC as well. Simply update the theme to get it.

Hello, I purchased your theme and liked it very much. My Visual Composer has not updated since version 4.6.2, and I cannot make changes to my site. I posted a comment on here stating this and I was told that composer was included with my purchase, but every time i try to update it states “An error occurred while updating WPBakery Visual Composer: To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit Settings to activate your Visual Composer.” My domain is www.bcdelights.com. When I click on settings, it states that I dont have permissions to access the settings. Please help.

You should update the theme to the latest version (v1.3.5) which includes the latest version of Visual Composer. After you update make sure to deactivate and delete the current version then install the new version from Appearance > Install Plugins.
If you do not want to update the theme you can decompress the zip from the latest theme version and update just js_composer files.
