google map is not working. “Oops! Something went wrong. This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.” Any solution?

Hello @Harukagnd.

This was due to a recent change in Google Maps requiring an additional API key, we have released a patch for this which you can apply from Avada > support Tab

I can’t seem to find the custom css ‘text-field’ in theme option. The “CSS CODE” message is there but no actual box to put the text in. It’s just empty page. Can you fix this pls.

Hello @Harukagnd.

You should be able to see the Theme Options > Custom CSS Tab just fine in there, can you please try disabling all your 3rd party plugins and check again once.

If issue remains please do create a support ticket and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi, I’m italian and I would like that Avada’s settings are in this language. I tried to import file it_IT.PO e it_IT. MO in this path of File Manager on Site Ground: wp-content -> themes -> Avada -> languages. But these files are already there. What can I do? Thank you

Hello @Neonlights79.

That is not the correct path or filename to put the language files actually, You need to rename the files as Avada-it_IT.po and Avada-it_IT.mo and then put the files inside wp-content / languages / themes folder please.

More info can be read about here : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/translations/storing-translation-files/

If you need further assistance please do fill in a ticket with us and we will gladly help.

Hello,
can I create sub-categories in portfolio post type? If so, would it be possible to add portfolio loop to a page, filtered only to a certain category (displaying only its sub-categories)?

ie. would it be possible to structure portfolio like this:
  • A
    • A1
    • A2
    • A3
  • B
    • B1
    • B2
    • B3

And on a certain page I’d like to display only elements from A with its children and on a different page only B with its children. Is it possible with Avada?

Hello @smigieldesign.

You can indeed have sub categories in portfolio and then you can use our recent works shortcode with the portfolio filter to filter the categories and assign only the categories that you want to list and appear, however the hierarchy type display like above will not possible as we have a different type of layout for portfolios, but adding this hierarchy type menu is definitely possible.

You can read more about the Recent works here please : https://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/avada-shortcode-list/#work

However if you need more precise assistance with this please open a support ticket and we will get right back to you.

i am using V3.8.8 and i have registered and entitled to get full theme update. However, when i go to Dashboard -> Update, i couldn’t find the theme appear for me to update. Could you check how can i update to the V4?

Hello @veec777

Sometimes you have to force check on the update in order to get the Auto Update if server has issues. Please go to Update Core page and then click on the Check Again button a bit of times.

Screenshot : http://prntscr.com/bz0meu

However in any case you can always update using the FTP method discussed here please : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/install-update/ftp-installation/

Do read Important Update Info once : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/install-update/important-update-information/

If you need further assistance in this case, please do open a support ticket and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Is it possible to disable the mobile menu please?

Hello @n1kko.

Yes it is very much possible, however it will require a bit of custom CSS to do that. Please try this code inside Theme Options > custom CSS Tab

 @media only screen and (max-width: 800px){.fusion-secondary-main-menu{display: none !important;}}

Hope that will help.

Thanks

Hi Avada team, what did you use to add a pretty email collect/newsletter subscribe feature (Avada Gym)? It would be so amazing to have this most desired features added to the top of the side bar in the next releases :) Thanks!

Hey @annafoster777!

The Gym demo uses the Contact Form 7 plugin to insert the form on the home page. If you wish to add newsletter functionality to your site, I would recommend giving MailChimp a try. They provide both regular HTML that you can then insert on your page or you can take advantage of one of the several plugins available that insert the MailChimp form for you.

If this is a feature you would like to see added to Avada itself, please email your suggestions through to support@theme-fusion.com with “Avada Suggestion” in the title so that it can be reviewed by our development team.

Thanks!

Ryan

Hello,

So I just updated this site: http://mendocoastpm.com to the latest version of Avada and a bunch of things broke that I had to fix. But two that I can’t fix are the fact that the page builder no longer works and the home page parallax image is off . Please advise. Thanks!

Hey @chasedesignsinc!

Hmm, which version of Avada were you updating from? I would strongly recommend heading on over to our support center and submitting a support ticket so that a member of our team can take a look at this for you. As the issue is partially admin side, please include your WordPress login URL and details so that your assigned support rep can take a look at the issue with your page builder.

Hello. I’ve been searching and have not found if there is a delay function to display the elements or columns.

For example, I like that part of the page only appear after 5 minutes. There is this possibility in the Avada theme?

Hey @fevampre!

That’s an interesting suggestion, I don’t think I’ve heard that one before. We currently don’t have an option to show an element after a set time delay, only to animate an element in when it hits a certain part of the viewport. You would need to use either a third party plugin, or some custom JS to hide the element and then reveal it after a certain period of time.

If this is a feature you would like to see added to Avada, please email your suggestion through to support@theme-fusion.com so that it can be reviewed by our development team.

Thanks!

Ryan

Hello,

I am interested in purchasing this theme but before doing so I was wondering if the support that will be provided is available in languages other than English.

Thanks.

Hey @herbsfield!

At the moment, we only officially provide support in English. We do have several staff members who speak languages other than English, however we don’t officially offer support or documentation in those languages.

Out of curiosity, which language were you looking for support in?

Thanks!

Ryan

We would prefer support in Chinese if it was available.

Hello @hebrsfield.

I am afraid we can only provide you support in English Language, however you can use google translator for this if required :)

Thanks

Hey. I`m having some seo issues on two of my pages. For some reason google index my images as own pages. When I search for my page this is the first that shows up http://www.streamweb.no/webdesign-trondheim-moblogo3/ Thought perhaps there was some issues with Yoast and that i included attachments in my xml. But i removed this a couple of weeks ago, still my images appear on Google as own pages. Any idea why this is happening?

Fredrik

Hello!

Hmm it usually only takes 24-48 hours for it to be removed from google.

Hello!

Avada offers Revolution, Layer, Fusion, Elastic and Post Sliders. I have looked at each on your website but try as I might, I can’t see much difference.

Is there an idiot’s guide that explains exactly the functional difference between them?

Thanks in advance

Mike

Hi Mike!

Great question :)

Each slider does offer different qualities which is why we offer a various line up.

This link shows you our documentation on sliders, and has a section for each one: https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/sliders/

However let me give you the quick run down on each one!

Slider Revolution – this is a very advanced slider plugin that allows you to basically do anything you want. Allows multiple layers per slider, animations per element and so much more. This is probably the most advanced one we offer. You can see more about it here: https://codecanyon.net/item/slider-revolution-responsive-wordpress-plugin/2751380

Layer Slider – this is also an advanced slider that allows you to do many things. It has similar offerings as the Slider Revolution, but a different interface and different features. You can see more about it here: https://codecanyon.net/item/layerslider-responsive-wordpress-slider-plugin-/1362246

Fusion Slider – this is our proprietary slider that we built ourselves. We built it as a simple, easy to use slider that allows images, youtube, Vimeo and Self Hosted videos. Along with several features like full screen, parallax scrolling, max widths, headings/captions, colors and more. This is by far the easiest slider to use out of the bunch and one we continue to develop. Here is an example of the Fusion Slider in use, on one of our demos: http://avada.theme-fusion.com/modern-shop/

Elastic Slider – this is a more basic slider that offers easy slider building, but less features. You can see it in action here: http://avada.theme-fusion.com/elastic-slider/

Post Sliders – these are for posts (blog posts or portfolio posts). For example, you can insert a post slider on a page, and it will automatically pull your latest blog posts. You can set the number of slides to 4 and it will pull the most recent 4 blog posts you have created. You can find out more about them here: https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/sliders/slider-types/ or here: http://avada.theme-fusion.com/post-sliders/

So in the end it may seem like a lot, but each one can be turned on or off so you do not have to use them if you do not want (besides post sliders which are built in because of post types like blog and portfolio). But each slider offers unique features and setups that allow our customers to build what they want.

Let us know if you have further questions, we’re always here to help answer :)

Thanks!

Thank you so much for that wonderful, clear explanation.

It deserves to be posted as a ‘sticky’ somewhere rather than lost among 22,000 comments :)

Your proprietary Fusion Slider looks more than adequate for all my needs and, since I’m keen to strip out as many plug-ins as I can, I’m delighted Avada have come through once again. Great work!

Thanks once again!

Mike

Hello Mike.

We have a very detailed guide about each of the sliders inside our slider sections here please : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/sliders/

We are glad that you like our product and when it comes to explanations, Luke aces it everytime :D

Thanks for being a wonderful customer.

Hi. I installed WPML plugin for a french version of my website on your template. I noticed an issue. When you switch from English to French the template is not keeping the font settings. On English version i have the right font that I choose but when you go on the French version I have other type of font also the size is different. Can you tell me how to fix that?

Hello @fibernetics.

That is the correct behavior of how any multilanguage plugin works actually, when you install any multi language plugin your theme options are saved individually for the each language, so you have to change the language from dropdown selector and then change the theme options again aswell.

You can read more info about this here please : https://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/how-to-set-different-theme-options-with-wpml/

However if you need more assistance please fill in a ticket with your complete details and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi, Just one more question. If I was to buy the theme how is easy it to change the default font-family for the site, especially the menu headings ? Thanks

Hello @ellibank.

As easy as it can get, all you need to do is go to Theme Options > Menu > Main Menu Typography

We will be delighted for you to join the largest theme community out there.

Ammar.

Hi, Currently shortlisting some themes. I’ve noticed in your Footer “Recent Tweets” is empty. Do you have a Twitter plugin ? and if so why is it not working on your demo site ? Thanks

Hello @ellibank.

Ofcourse we do have a twitter plugin and its working just fine for me on my end in our demo here : http://prntscr.com/byq7dq

It must be your browser cache that is causing this issue and we also have a very detailed document guide on how to setup the twitter widget that you can read here please : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/widgets/twitter-widget/

We will be delighted for you to join the largest theme community out there.

Hello @neonlights79.

This is a strange message and i have never come across that, can you please try and install the theme using FTP method instead please ?

You can read all about FTP Installation method here : https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/install-update/ftp-installation/
