The reason for that is because WordPress 100% controls and creates the pagination everywhere, a theme cannot create it. And on a normal page, the pagination created is for a “paginated page” (Split content into multiple pages), not for showing multiple posts. What it sounds you want, is to go to Settings -> Reading, and set that blog articles page to be the posts page option. As both pages (front page and posts page) set in Reading section will have posts pagination created for them.

I had a look and your page is still set to “page builder” page, which means it isn’t the “posts page” in Settings -> Reading. You need to set it to that to work, and then control how it looks in Theme options -> homepage.

You only need to update the parent theme to update, you should never touch the child, as your custom code goes in the child, and the whole point of a child-theme is that the custom code is never touched (updated makes all files be back to fresh installs).

However, it may well be custom code in your child-theme doing it. Try activating the parent theme and see if that fixes it, if it does, it’s due to custom code you have added in the child-theme.

Ok thank you for your answer. I’ve passed on the parent theme, and when i want to add a category on my menu it doesn’t work… It put the category as personnelised ling and i can click it on front page. I did new menu 4 or 5 times (but i have almost 80 category to put ) and i’m fed up. How can I do. it was working before the last updates!

And also, i try to put my blog with “bowed parameters” in the child theme, and it’s always wildrange

I really am not following exactly what is going on, but I can assure you there is nothing wrong with the latest version and the menus. Have you tried disabling all plugins + refreshing cache? If you have, open a ticket at http://cubellthemes.ticksy.com and in the title say “Please forward straight to Cubell, he requested this” and include screenshots of the issue to better understand.

You haven’t received a response yet because unfortunately you do not have valid support (flags up as an error in the ticket). Due to Themeforest’s rules, you need valid support to get help. So I can only briefly say this:

There is definitely nothing wrong with the theme and WooCommerce, you can see a fresh Valenti installation + WooCommerce with no custom code here:

As you can see, everything lines up perfectly with no issues.

Regarding Contus, I had a quick look and I believe the plugin is likely causing the issue. The plugin seems to have an unclosed div element somewhere, and that is causing all the issues. To check if this is true, disable the plugin and go on a mobile again and see if the sidebar still appears after the content. If it doesn’t, it means the issue is 100% in the plugin.

a. I see in your fresh install demo that your products in the shop catalogue also don’t align in height. Plus, on reporting the issue, I withdrew any custom code. Fact is, in your demo install all pics seem to have a very similar height. This is not the case when you import amazon products. Heights of pics differ and cropping them will cut out images at times.

b. I will check with contus again re video.

I purchased Valenti a year ago for another site and I recall that there were issues with the woocommerce layout already which is why i didn’t use it…sadly. Because I really do like the theme.

So I wish you’d have a look at your woocommerce situation, because, again, I can add 4 columns and have them all aligned in height on other themes. Not with valenti.

I see what you mean, but that is because some products don’t have reviews, so it doesn’t output a line for that = less height. You can’t set a fixed height for the products because if you do and you then have a product with a very long title, then the text will overlap and cause layout issues. There is a way to get around this to make it all more consistent in height, but you will need to extend your support for me to help you with this.

And regarding the images, the theme’s WordPress images use 230×230 image crop (WooCommerce setting), so your import plugin should be uploading the images through WordPress which should automatically create that crop. If you have a tiny image, then WordPress can’t create a crop and it outputs the full-size image which has to be stretched to fit and the height gets dramatically changed and may look odd. But the theme can’t really do anything about that either, as I described above about limiting the height. The solution is to upload images bigger than 230×230 and let WordPress crop them to ensure consistent layout.

I sent you an email with login information. How do I put icons adjacent to the search icon on the nav menu? I know how to put icons in the middle. I noticed one of the sites that uses the theme had icons there.

2- I’m afraid I can’t remember any slider plugins like that off the top of my head, but I’m sure they exist, and a plugin like that would almost definitely work in Valenti, as the theme is written properly to minimize incompatibilities with plugins.

There is a “Blank page template”, but I just tested it and the header is outputting for some silly reason, I am going to look into it and fix it for the next theme update. Once that is done, you can enter anything you want in the page content area and only that will output. So if you have a plugin to output a shortcode or similar for an opt-in button (or if you use a block building plugin, you can build it using that too).

I had to change the module color back to light…. but essentially I want the page background, and the module color to be the same. This would include the padding between the post boxes. I think this makes sense!

Ah right! I see what you mean now, to explain a bit more, the review is appended to the content, so if you make the review appear at the top, it is part of the content, and Facebook is grabbing that as the start.

However, Facebook first looks at the “Description meta tag” and uses that content first, if you don’t have one, then it creates one from the content area. So if you have Yoast SEO installed, whenever you write a post, simply enter a custom description meta to that post, and that is what Facebook should pick up.

I think I discovered the fix. If you use Yoast SEO you go into the settings under “Titles & Metas” and change all the versions of meta boxes to “Hide”. Hope this helps if anyone else has the same issue.

No, the theme does not use Visual Composer. I’m not a fan of that plugin, as it works with shortcodes. Which is why I developed a custom built homepage drag and drop builder for Valenti that uses 0 shortcodes. It’s very easy to use and allows you to quickly create homepages like the ones seen in the demo site.
