hi. i checked your demo and read the documentation which i highly advise anyone still hesitating buying the theme since its overwhelming what could be adjusted.
My question is about skins. I assume we get this skins from the demo but can also create new skins. THESE NEW SKINS, can we download them??? I ask because usually i make a development demo and then i start from scratch new with the liveversion of the website, it would help if i just could download the skin created in the development version WHICH I CREATED CUSTOMLY. I would even go a more complicated way like exporting SQL DB table if not incoporated within theme.
Last question: for this skins, do you have a marketplace?? (i ask because u seem to be amazing developers but NO-good designers, see 10 skins available, no bad intention since we have all the freedom to customize)

I want to update the Journal to latest version which is v2.7.1. Should I just upload all the files or there is another way to do that.
Hi, the latest version is 2.7.6 and yes you should download it and install it on top of your existing theme, this is the only way to update the theme.

I’m using the Journal Theme on OpenCart 1.5.6.4 since 1 year without any problem.
But i made yesterday a new fresh intallation with OpenCart 2.3.0.2 and the same theme.
All is working but the Second Image on Hover in the Products Grid.
I tried everything. I reinstalled 3 times OpenCart and the Journal Theme..but this feature doesn’t work.
The second image doesnt show.
Do you have an idea ?

Hi, that may be caused by a 3rd party extension which is not working with the theme anymore (after changes that were made in the theme due to other system changes done in the latest Opencart version) so your extension may need to be adapted to the latest Opencart as well.

Hi, i have a question about usage/license. Does a separate purchase for the template have to be made for each website you plan to use it on ? E.G 5 different domain names would mean buying the template 5 times (or does the extended license cover that sort of usage) ? Thank you.
Hi, the license only covers one domain so you need to purchase the theme as many times as you need it, e.g 5 domains = 5 regular licenses.

Unfortiantly my support has run out, I tried it on a clean install on a test server out of interest and it still didn’t work.

So I stared a Facebook group for Journal users over a year ago and while there isn’t much happening I would like to know if developers/users/authors want to help each other by showing what you have done on your own web sites. Also thought that FB group would allow others to show off their sites since Journal is most flexible theme available one can’t recognize a Journal site easily. That is a great thing!!

helo, i use opencart since 2011 and currently i use opencart 1.5.6.4..i cannot upgrade opencart to latest version because i made hard modification for my opencart store. Journal2 always keep update, do you still update journal for verison 1.5.6.4?
Hi, yes we always update both versions, they are 2 themes shipped with the download so just update the one pertaining to the OC version you use.

There is a way to enable the SuperFilter on mobile, our developers will assist you with that. The other 3rd party filter extension does not work with custom themes out of the box, unfortunately.

It would be perfect if you could build in a drawer mobile menu, the drop down mobile menu is very old! It’s all about sliding menus.

I think it would be fine if there was a warning to existing stores that changing such a setting, could break there design. Then if the feature was only suggested for newer version stores, this would solve that problem.
