Hello
I am trying to add my email address as a HTML href link in my ‘Header Left from Logo’ widget area however for some reason it does not recognise the link. If i add the same HTML to the ‘Header Bottom Right’ widget area then it works fine. Am i doing something wrong or can you not have links in the ‘Header Left from Logo’ area?
Also (sorry!), how do i change the favicon?

We have another problem with the logo on the homepage. In the demo (http://demo.select-themes.com/cabin2) the logo is perfectly aligned between the two parts of the menu, but on our site it’s cut (Heberger image).
Could you tell us why? We didn’t touch anything in the “Logo” section options panel yet. I just saw they were multiple logos (dark/light).
I also didn’t find in the documentation the required size for the logo. Could you tell us the required dimensions please?

We are using logo image with dimensions 496×188, but it is displayed in double smaller size since we included function for this to insure good quality on retina devices.

We are currently developping a website using your theme and the Polylang plugin. The homepage of the site is both in French (http://www.agencehds.com/sitewp/fr/accueil/) and Portugese (http://www.agencehds.com/sitewp/pt/home/) with a switcher.
The problem is that the background slider on the page is only visible on the French version. We did have set the Slider Shortcode correctly for each page, created 2 sliders for each language (see screenshot below).

Have you set images for your second slider slides and everything properly?
It should work fine with WPML of course, just like you explained, you need to have another slider created, and paste the shortcode for it in the field.

There is no option to include description to be shown on Portfolio list for each Portfolio item, but it could be done with some custom coding and template modification. For styling of title, just go to Select Options > Portfolio > Portfolio List and there you could customize titles for each portfolio list.

?24 days ago, I logged the following issue. The Select team responded immediately (thank you so much), I did the amends as suggested below. They worked. But now, my website has gone back to having the large white space above. I updated the cabin theme as previously, then deleted and reinstalled VC and then cleared my cache. But this time, it didn’t work Any ideas???

There is an unexplained amount of white space in my header and footer on my website. Strangely, my blog page/posts are fine.? Also, my logo is missing. It’s possible this happened after I updated to the latest wordpress update, but I’m not 100% sure.
I have temporarily made my menu text dark as they were unviewable (normally they are placed over the title image or the layer slider on my home page – so they are white font ordinarily).
This white space is making my website look dreadfully unprofessional. I have tried everything I can think of to fix it, to no avail. I have tried updating visual composer too, this also didn’t work. In fact, visual composer is now NOT working at all when I try to edit a page – which is also VERY frustrating.
Any help, much appreciated. Claire

You set height for Select Slider in your homepage to be 5501 and in combination with parallax effect it makes that white space before and above. So, go to edit your page and for slider shortcode modify this height param to use other value http://screencast.com/t/Z60heMHciH

Hi! Thanks for your help. The footer issue now seems to be resolved – so that’s great. But I have changed the slider shortcode as suggested on the homepage, but the issue remains the same. I must point out, this ‘white space’ is on every page, not just the home page. I’m just concerned that people are visiting my website and unable to navigate as they currently cannot see the menu. Any other ideas?

Great! That worked… If I wanted to make it a touch larger, I tried to change the 140 to 160 in the code, but it doesn’t get larger. Do I have to do something different? I like it, but in case the client wants it bigger.
One more question, I am making a products page using the “portfolio” feature of images. http://brianlhenderson.com/DB/products/ I have a title, but is there a way to make a layer of text explaining the image under the title. I am hiding the categories already. Is there something I need to turn on? The first product – 8551 – 3/4 FIR. Under that text I want a sentence explaining the product. They can click on it for a larger look in the lightbox feature.

I wish I could. I purchased this theme over 6 months ago and client dragged their feet this long, so i am just using it for the first time. Now my support has run out. I tried to submit a ticket, but will not let me, without purchasing more from this theme. So don’t know if I’ll get this done.
Understand, but unfortunately this is not available by default, and requires you to modify the shortcode to include excerpts. Our support would need to explain to you which file you need to modify and how.
