May i know what are the features that buddypress will bring to your theme?

Everything that buddypress has; messaging, friends, groups and all the features in buddypress will be supported in your theme right?

In my opinion, it will be better if you support the features by default in your standalone script. Without the need for buddypress.

Do you mean google recaptcha in submitting posts via Viralpress? It’s default recaptcha position in Viralpress, you should send your request to them https://codecanyon.net/item/viralpress-viral-news-lists-quiz-videos-polls-plugin/14541033/comments , if you have any difficulties with it.

yes i mean google recaptcha prior for users to submit any posts (if enabled). but its not showing fully in your theme. thats why i pointed this problem out.

Hi there, in your screenshot I see you’r trying “Layouts->Archive”, you need to work with “Layouts->Page” to configure Featured Posts section on homepage or any other page. Also please in “Customise->Static Front Page” make sure that you’re using static page as front page, not “your latest posts”.

BoomBox is powerful tool to achive unique view and configure your viral portal to work in the way you want. It’s adjustable theme, and you should also keep in mind that our demos isn’t predefined skins, it’s set of options, there can be achived hundreds of other views. We have import files to make site quickly look like demo, but anyway to easily manage theme you should read docs. BoomBox isn’t simple theme.

New frontend uploader will be completely separate from Viralpress, I can’t say what features will be included in initial release, but the whole goal is providing more features and better UI. Support of Viralpress will remain, so you’ll still be able to use BoomBox with it. For example you should be able to keep Viralpress activated to keep old posts still working and use new one to populate new posts.

You should set category icon for each category you want to show up with badge, You can do it in posts->categories. Regarding trengin badge – please make sure you have trending page selected in “customise->post ranking system”, after it if you add that page in “Badges menu” it will show up with trending page, same for Hot and Popular badges/pages.

1. No, we don’t have integration of VC and aren’t going to add it, it’s overloading theme, especially in admin side. We have powerful options to manage pages, and going to enhance theme more.

2. We’re working on this now, should be clear during next week.

3. We don’t have it in plans yet, currently we’re overloaded working on really important major updates and some minor, after these we’ll take a look into this. We didn’t test BoomBox with BBpress to see if there is any issues using it by default, but BoomBox is very well coded theme, so I assume there shouldn’t be any major problem.

4. Yes it’s fully widgetized. Of course you can add banner widgets like you described, and many other widgets. Also we have pretty powerful siderbar options, for example you can have 2 pages and specify different sidebar templates for them.

5. Newsletter can injected into post list only 1 time now, but we’re going to enhance this.

6. You can choose your criteria to show featured items – most viewed / discussed / shared / voted or just sticky/featured. We don’t plan to add slider yet, need to think twice here, don’t want to overload theme with a lot of js plugins and hidden content.

7. Yes, you can. BoomBox is extremely customisable. You can play with options in many ways. Like it’s said on our preview page – Our demos aren’t just predefined skins – it’s set of options from endless variations!

Regarding the [6], I understand that having a slider is not a great option to chose. Can you tell me the maximum articles which can be shown as featured? is it just 2? Or can I have 3- 4 may be spread across 2 rows.
