Viralpress isn’t provided with theme, but it’s fully supported, what is written in our description. It’s separate 2 products. Currently we’re working on brand new native frontend uploader which will be delivered with theme, and will have very good UI. This is currently in progress, the timelines will be clear soon, you’ll be able to get it just with update, though theme price at that time will be 59$. Other major updates are also upcoming, you’ll be surprised soon

Also please note that all functionality – reactions, badges, voting system, ranking (trending, hot, popular) .. etc are native BoomBox functionality and only possibility add quiz, poll.. from frontend is Viralpress.

Our docs are pretty detailed, though we understand that there is space for improvement, and we do it every day – Boombox deserves to have top notch documentation. Feel free to ask question regarding anything you’ll have difficulties with.

Regarding “How do I configure the “Most Shared”, Most Views, Most Discussed” – it depends what section you want to configure:

Pages – http://boombox.px-lab.com/docs/#page_management, you can find options to set conditions for post list just under the editor.

Strip, Featured sections for archive and pages – http://boombox.px-lab.com/docs/#layouts (customiser->layouts-> archive or page)

You can set trending criteria here – http://boombox.px-lab.com/docs/#post_rating_system

Also in widgets you can find “boombox picked posts” widget, where you can get posts for sidebar by “Most Shared”, “Most Visited”, Most Discussed” ... etc.

В нашей теме share функциональность интегрирована через Mashshare плагин, добавить все остальные соц сети можно через этот адон https://www.mashshare.net/downloads/mashshare-social-networks-addon/ , включая VK и OK.

Для авторизации мы в блажайшем будущем планируем добавить Twitter, но будем и дальше расширять эту функциональность и после некоторых важных апдейтов, VK и OK тоже добавим.

There are 3 type of “related” posts – “you may also like” – posts from the same tags, “more from {category}” – posts from the same category and don’t miss – just recent posts. We’re going to add here flexible options soon, so users can configure criteria to get posts for these sections.

Yes we’re considering deeper mobile optimisation, it will be done for sure. Just after some important updates there will additions here, firstly like Newspaper theme did, than later we’ll also consider mobile apps.

Currently you can use featured posts options, you can keep the post you wish in as fake trending. Also you can create category like “sponsored” with badge like on Buzzfeed.

Boombox has some really flexible options and sometime even we discover interesting possibilities. But we know that this feature deserves some deeper functionality and will consider adding it also.

“reactions” are kind of categories in wordpress, so /reaction/ is must for loading that category template, but I think you can achive this in a bit another way, you can create a page with any url structure and set up it to show only posts from specific reaction, currently the only difference I see it’s that big badge of reaction icon won’t appear in header besides title, if you use this method.
