Of course not, they are completely 2 separate integration. Buddypress isn’t depend on Viralpress at all, all deep Buddypress integration you can see in demo is native for Boombox.

Viralpress isn’t delivered with BoomBox, but fully supported. Also please note that all functionality – reactions, badges, voting system, ranking (trending, hot, popular) .. etc are native BoomBox functionality and only possibility add quiz, poll.. from frontend is Viralpress.

Unfortunately it isn’t possible without some not supposed customisations, you’re using the audio player as widget in sidebar and the common behaviour for sidebars is to go under main content on mobile, we can’t change this. Also we can’t add some additional place for such player on mobile only, cause this is very specific thing and don’t fit well with theme purpose.

Am interested in getting this theme but i am still waiting for a major update to it, there are some issues that needs fixing, on mobile version the upvote and downvote buttons totally disappears but shows well on desktop.
The viralpress submit post page has a terrible and complicated UI, scrolling downwards is hard when submitting post on mobile.
The post views is too big and needs to be made smaller for aesthetic purposes. You should think of adding a sticky sub menu under the main menu, so as to show trending, popular etc for quick access. Just like mashable and 9gag.
Already added theme to my cart, just waiting for that major update of yours, consider my suggestions. That said, this theme is awesome, been looking for something like this all my themeforest life.

By the way, we have made simplified design for mobile version, that’s why buttons hiding now, also we can’t make improvements in ViralPress, so about all concerns regarding viralpress you can address to the author.
Thanks for the reply, the thing is more people are going mobile so the upvote and down vote should be added to the mobile version to appeal to user’s, a users badge system would be a bonus feature also. I just wish i was done leaning php, would have loved to do them myself.

I got the gag demo theme, is there a way to post vines on there? I post the embed of the vine videos but it only shows up on the permalink post and not on the main page of the site? Is there something i’m doing wrong?

It’s seems you want to show vine embed instead of featured image on the post listing page. Currently it isn’t possible, embeds are showing up in post single page only, adding too many embeds on 1 list may overload that page, but we’re want to integrate such functionality for some type of embeds, and working on good solution here.
After some other major updates in current month we’ll return to this.

The theme is not working properly with viralpress. If I set a menu in the header, the viralpress menu is showing instead the menu I selected.
Something similar in the widget area, if I set a custom menu, all the categories and the pages from viralpress are showing instead of the menu

I have some pre-sale questions.

2).I want comment system and like,dislike options under or side of every item in the list styled post.So then items in the list will be sorted automatically based on the number of likes,dislikes it gets. Is this feature possible now with this theme?

e.g.: 5 Best love songs(open list)1.song name one(item in the list only contains song name without any img,quotes,embeds etc...)

1. BoomBox supports Viralpress plugin https://codecanyon.net/item/viralpress-viral-news-lists-quiz-videos-polls-plugin/14541033/comments , and their new 3.0 update includes also open lists functionality. We’re adding support for 3.0 now.
2. It seems they have this functionality also in 3.0 version.
3. Image is required creating a list in Viralpress, you should clarify if it’s possible to make it optional with them.
4. We’re working now on major updates. Buddypress integration, should be released next week. Also we’re working on BoomBox native frontend uploader with excelent UI, which will be provided with theme, when it will be released you’ll be able to get it just by updating theme. The timeline for this isn’t clear yet. Besides of this we’re working on several minor updates, which will be released this week. New demos are also coming soon.

Thank you for choosing Boombox. Main advice will be to optimize all images before uploading to your site. Also as suggested by LadislavMiko you can use WP SMUSH plugin. We recommend you to use W3 Total Cache or any other cache plugin for WordPress. Good luck with promotion!

I am already using the image optimising plugin so it optimises the images very well.
The problem I am seeing is this:
In your source code of any page I see this:title="25 Amazing Facts You Didn’t Know About Animals"> <img height="270" src=" http://boombox.px-lab.com/buzzy/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2016/08/9-360x270.jpg?e75130" /> Here the image is getting resized to show as thumbnail for widgets that come on side bar or related posts that come below article. but in my source code it shows something like this <pre> title="25 Amazing Facts You Didn’t Know About Animals"> <img height="270" src="http://boombox.px-lab.com/buzzy/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2016/08/original-featured-image.jpg" /> i.e. in <<src=">> it is fetching original image as it is without resizing. In your code it shows that it was resized to 9-360x270.jpg?e75130 Is there any setting to accomplish this or perhaps you are using a different version of theme? I am using version Version: 1.0.5 </pre>

It seems you’re our theme with your old posts, in wordpress images are crop during uploading, and if there is no cropped version the it’s showing the original one. You need to reupload images, this problem won’t appear on new ones. There are also some plugins for recroping images, but I can’t ensure how well they work.

There is an incosistency between desktop and mobile version on this theme.
I played only with the Customiser (not any extra css code at all) in order to make the theme exactly how I want it to be. BUT on mobile I see bugs:
1. Two search boxed on the header (!) one below the other 2. When I click the hamburger menu I still see the Bottom Header with badges, sections and all that stuff that I had hidden by Disabling Bottom Header.
I need a fix for these errors, since my site is live…

Never mind, my site is online and I managed to hide the second search div on the header via a custom css rule.
About the “Badges and Sections” I had not realized that I could configure them via menu system.
So all running smooth now, except I am missing a “Facebook embed” feature. Do I need to install a third party plugin? Can you suggest one that plays well with your theme?
Hi again, yes you can use facebook embed in theme, don’t need any third party plugin, just go to post edit page, in main editor change visual mode to text mode and past embed code.

Hey, thank you for choosing Boombox. We have removed original images to make demo importing process more fast and to avoid overloading database, so we have used placeholders. Importing demo data only import posts, you need to set your menu, featured posts and set widgets.
