Hey, I installed the revolution slider that came with te theme and I tried to activate it using the purchase code but I get an error: slider revolution purchase code is invalid And I haven’t used in on other website! For your first question, you are referring to the full screen page transitions, then now we do not offer that at this time, but do plan on adding that in the future as it has been requested often.
The rev slider error is only for if you buy it by itself, you can close it out or purchase a single license to receive auto updates, see this post: https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/sliders/purchase-codes-premium-sliders/
But to be clear, it does come with Avada, but when bundled with a theme it does not contain it’s own license for individual support from the author, or for auto updates from the author. But works per normal.

There are two types of activation here. While you can install, activate and use the Revolution Slider plugin when you purchase Avada, if you wish to ‘activate’ (Revolution Slider’s terminology for purchasing a license and registering your purchase) the plugin and gain access to the premium features, you would need to purchase your own personal license from the plugin developer.
If you have already purchased your own personal license for Revolution Slider and are still not able to access the premium features, I would recommend getting in touch with the Revolution Slider support team and see if they can take a look at this for you.

We use woocommerce which has its own PIM system and is the biggest ecommerce plugin, woocommerce is 100% compatible with our theme and you can read about it here : https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-products/
Also, we do have a category filter for products as well and it can be used render different category products on a page using our shortcodes.

1 will depend a lot on what you are currently using and how it is setup, it’s not something we can guarantee as we do not know your current setup. You should be able to move content over to your database, but how and what you use would depend on many factors.
2. You can translate that text via translation files, but it will still be added to the cart. There is not a “favorite” function built into WooCommerce at this time, although they do offer various 3rd party plugins that allow that I believe.

If so that is the side header background color, which you can find on the header styling tab in theme options. If you mean the actual sidebar like on blog posts, that can be changed on the sidebar styling tab in theme options.

Hello. I am interested in using the Avada Travel theme for a travel agency website, but have some questions.
1. I would like each “destination” page to feature a full hotel package, each with its own city, hotel, room type, dates, price, images, etc. Is it possible to save and display custom variables like this for each “destination” page in this manner? I ask because the demo page displays only a few images and a block of text for each “destination” page. 2. On each “destination” page I would like an “Inquire Now” button to be placed. Clicking it would open a small contact form which would send the visitor’s name and contact info, as well as the “destination” unique ID. Does the Avada Travel theme offer such functionality built-in?

1. Yes you can but it is not a custom post type, you would just set it up on the page as you wish, then reuse that from page to page. Or if you need a form, you can use the free Contact Form 7 form and set it up that way, like you see on the contact page of the hotel demo.
2. Yes you can do this with our button element, which then opens up a modal window in which you can place a Contact Form 7 form with any fields you desire.

But going back to my first question, I’m still a bit unclear what you have described. Is it possible to send me screenshots of how I would set this up in the WordPress backend? To clarify, I want to have hundreds of different destinations, each with their own inherent variables (destination city, price, length of stay, etc). I also want a search feature on the homepage, where a site visitor can search for all the destinations that meet certain criteria (e.g. less than $1,000, destination cities in Europe, etc). Does the Avada theme have these features built-in?

This page : http://demo.goodlayers.com/tourpackage/package/paris-and-bordueax/ is certainly doable with Avada but you will have to do this manually by putting in the fields and their values and reuse it as mentioned above.
However having a custom post type for each hotel is a different thing and will require some customization to theme files if you want to just input the destination, rates and everything else for each of the post like you mentioned in your response. We do not have these built in with our theme specifically right now.

Thanks for the reply. I’m not sure I fully understand though. Maybe we can back up and I’ll try to explain again. This site (http://demo.goodlayers.com/tourpackage/) has a menu item, “Packages.” Each of these package pages contains information unique to that package, which is stored in a database. Here is an example of one of those “packages,” with all of its custom information (http://demo.goodlayers.com/tourpackage/package/paris-and-bordueax/).
The homepage of that same site contains a search widget (near the bottom) that allows site visitors to search the “packages” for different fields, such as price, destination, etc. Here is a screenshot of that search widget: http://imgur.com/a/WnvIY. As you can see, a site visitor can ask to see all of the packages on my site that are less than $1,000. Or a site visitor can ask to see all of the packages on my site with a destination in Europe. Does the Avada theme have this functionality/capability built-in? Searchable packages, as well as a search widget for site visitors, is a requirement of mine.

What you are describing here is clear, but what needs to be understood is that comparing two themes with the expectation that they both be identical in what can be achieved is not a good idea
The theme you referenced has a CPT (Custom Post Type) built to handle that particular subjects information. Both the packages page and the single page for each package that you referenced here can be recreated in Avada, but would need additional work by adding in the content to each page manually. One example is using the Avada portfolio to showcase the packages, however, the single post page would require adjustment to match your needs -> http://bit.ly/2dhHJcM
The alternatives would be to either implement a custom solution to match your needs or use a 3rd party plugin that provides this functionality.

I have to create a website with an order system for a photo and video editing studio where customers should have possibilities to upload photos or videos that should be edited. Also it should be possibles for customers to download the results of the work on their logged in customer area.

We use woocommerce for all our ecommerce requirement, woocommerce is a very largely used plugin with hundreds of add ons. I own Avada on a personal website, but I’m currently logged in here on a Work account and want to buy Avada to make a new website for work.
Can you tell me if I can buy and register/license Avada when a website/domain is not current? Let me explain..
I have a website and it is using my domain (mydomain.com) but I have recently bought a new host and want to install and develop an Avada theme on it.
The host provider has suggested I install WP using my actual domain name for the Site and Home URL’s then edit the HOST file on my pc and add the IP address of their server as a redirect to the domain name (mydomain.com). xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx mydomain.com This will re-route my pc to the temporary instance of my domain on their server while the current nameservers are still pointed to my old site location.
This allows me to use WP and have it behave like it will when it finally goes live by keeping all the addressing correct.
My question is: Can I install Avada to that temporary development server and do the registration/licensing of the theme while the WP instance is not live/active?

I apologize, it took me some time to understand exactly what you meant. Then I realized that you sent in a ticket with a question and your site in question is on your local computer. Correct?
The only thing we (or any other theme maker) can do is guess at the issue when it is on your own local machine that nobody else can access … we need to be able to see it. There is no way to fix an issue if we cannot see it.
Yes we support sites in dev and live, but if it is locally on your machine, we cannot see it and inspect it to know what the issue is.
The only thing we can do is guess at your issue and give advice, which is exactly what we did in your ticket.
I do not mean this to be demeaning or rude, I’m only trying to help give a similar example. If your car is not working and you call the mechanic, he can’t fix it unless he comes to your house or you take it into the shop. That is very similar to a developer trying to fix an issue on a customers local machine. The best thing we can do is guess and give advice.
If you put the site online so we can see it and access it, we will gladly help and get it sorted for you.

No, incorrect. The site is on a retail Hosted server as I explained in my original question about Licensing. The point is your support policy does not allow you to make edits to your HOSTS file (like I mentioned in my original question on how this site was being developed) and therefore won’t support sites that ARE accessible online, but aren’t live.
I’m sorry I did not understand your comment as it was not clear. But your new one is incorrect.
Our support policy has nothing to do with editing your hosts files, that has nothing to do with our theme or anything we are associated with. Hosts files are all on your server and not from us.
There is a major misunderstanding here it seems. We support any and all Avada installations.
Please explain exactly what you need done so we can clear this up for you.
It’s my fault for not reading your support policy thoroughly. I mistakenly assumed that if I was able to license the Avada product from a redirected IP/Domain (not publicly accessible) then it wouldn’t impede support for the site – My mistake.
Hosts files are not on my server as you suggest, they are on the machines that access the site for development and act as a simple DNS redirect to the IP of the Server the site is Hosted on (as I explained in the original Licensing question above).
I could have left the WP URL & Site URL as //Server-IP/Username/ for public access but my hosting company suggested WP would behave better if I used the Correct domain name from the start and edit my HOSTS file to redirect to their server IP.
“Our support policy has nothing to do with editing your hosts files” I never said it did. Your support policy does, however, stop you (support) from editing yours, restricting you from accessing or supporting my site in development.
I don’t think there is anything you can do to clear this up. I think an opportunity was missed to inform me that the environment I described in my original Licensing question (although fine for licensing) excluded me from support.

First and foremost, you certainly are not excluded from support, I will explain in a minute. Yes, our support policy does stipulate that we do not allow the provision of editing .hosts files in order to view or access websites, for various reasons not withstanding security.
However, in rare and exceptional circumstances I personally do take the decision to allow this method and due to the nature of the circumstances, and personally take control over the support where .hosts file editing is needed.

Hmm we are not able to replicate that. Are you on the latest WordPress version, Avada version and WooCommerce version? If not you may only need to update.

I have check the images out using a VPN and i can see what you are looking to achieve, those are actually tabs. We have a tabs shortcode but currently it does not support font awesome icons as its title directly so you have to make some small custom edits to the shortcode files and you should be able to achieve that design

Hmm the picture you attached is an actual image, so not real text. You can however have the image link to anything you want, or put a button or text or icon above or below it to link elsewhere.

Those are font awesome icons and you can not put a link in them since they have their own hover effect to work, however you can use them as still images and put a link in image using image frame shortcode

Hi there beloved AVADA-Team,
I am interested in purchasing your theme, since it seems to be the only reasonable approach to my purpose. I just wanted to know the answer to a few questions:
(1) Since I am planning to do some modifications I need to know if the frontend HTML-Markup will change with the update to 5.0 (header, footer & the markup generated by the new fusion builder)
(2) Will it still be possible to deactivate unused modules in the theme options with Avada v 5.0? There are many opinions moaning avada is slow, which is simply not true. At the least when you are able to deregister some functionality with the theme-options it speeds up the theme dramatically and I saw some avada sites, which are only loading 30-50 files and a total cached site size of 0.8 – 1.2MB. This is a huge benefit towards other multipurpose themes. Therefore I hope this option will not be blown away with the new update, since it gives you great performance enhacement by your own control.
(3) Regarding to custom written javascript, I saw that your theme is using the waypoint jquery plugin in an very old version. Will waypoint still be on board with avada 5 and if so, are you planning to use the latest version or stick to the current older one, because the author changed the API during the update process.
(4) You are also using your own version of flexslider, is this plugin contained in avada 5 aswell?

we are happy that you liked our product and i am sure this is the best WordPress theme you will find, I will answer your queries one by one here.
1. We are continuously making changes to Avada codebase actually optimizing the code and adding more content is what we strive for in each update, however in new update we are also changing our shortcodes but there will be a migration script to change old shortcodes to new one, but i am not sure about the customization you are planning to make so if you want to ask me, its better to wait for 5.0 and use a child theme for your customization requirements. We have a very detailed article about child themes as well in our doc posts.
2. Yes, this is actually getting better in 5.0 as Fusion Builder is being separated from theme into its own plugin, with this you also get the ability to disable each of the fusion builder element as well that you don’t plan on using, rest of the theme features can still be disabled from Theme Options > advanced Tab.
3. I have confirmed this with our developers and we will still be using the same version of waypoint jquery plugin that we are using right now because it doesn’t create any issues with our latest version but it will be updated to its latest versoi in our update after 5.0 so you should be good to go
4. I believe you mean Fusion slider here? as that is the only plugin we have of our own and yes it will always be a part of Avada

New client here, ready to see why people prefer Avada! Since I have a bad experience with upgrading from an X version of a theme to its new major X+1 version, is there any chance, despite the fact that I don’t have a github account, to get my hands on the new 5.0 version (meaning the new Fusion Builder) and forget all about later conversions?
And since I comprehend that version 5.0 is not yet a stable product, I will not “shout” for “oh, this is not working”.
Frankly, I believe in all the comments I’ve read and I think it won’t have any major issue despite not being a final product, so, give me access please

However its not possible for us to provide you with the latest version as its still in the final stages of testing but if you are worried about the shortcode migration, i can assure you it goes smooth and we have given great care to that particular one. 5.0 is just around the corner and it will be worth the wait.

We do apologize but we cannot give a release date and have closed it off for now. But never fear, you can still use 403 now and update to 5.0.
