Tragedy. After upgrading to Avada 5.0.1 My post and my website is not working… only white page!

This should never happen, it must be one of your 3rd party plugin causing the conflict, please try and disable each 3rd party plugin one by one to see which one is causing this issue. If you still see white screen we urge to you fill in a ticket with us immediately and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Looks like you are using a huge logo there that is causing this issue in menu height, please double check the resolution of your logo and also in order for us to take a closer look we will need you to open up a new ticket.

Hi There,
I have the issue with the icons … it doesn’t show. I updated the theme and since then the icons are not visible. IT is set to be default the white but it doesn’t show.
Please help so I can fix it. It’s important to have the icons working as it should.

I have a question regarding the portfolio filter links. I would like to apply different colors to the different links but looking at the code I don’t see a unique style for each filter link. If there is a way to apply different styles to the different links could you supply the css I should be targeting to make this change. Thank you.

Hi,
An update went smooth, but there are some issues on my install:
- I had a self-hosted video using Fusion Slider on Home page. It`s gone with an update. I had to make another slider: > Fusion Slider > Add new Slide > Video WebM Upload > Browse > Insert video in post > ... NO, it does NOT work that way anymore! Had to copy the path from Library and paste it in the field manually, for both video versions.
- all tables from TablePress plugin must be manually fixed, because they are replaced by something like this: [fusion_old_table id=12 /]. I`ve read that you changed names, still it is not really user friendly if you have a table on every page.
Fusion Builder is MUCH faster now – and this is really good news!

In regards to the issue with your table, there must have been a shortcode naming conflict, which is why those shortcodes were caught up in the conversion. While it’s inconvenient for this update, the conversion will resolve issues like this one going forward as all of Avada’s shortcodes have been renamed so that they are as unique as possible.

Currently you can only show ONE feature image per page. Is it possible to have multiple featured images shown as a grid that leads you to the same page?
This is because I am having trouble deciding which single feature image to use. So I’d like to use a few that was made for the same client, and have them shown in no particular order.

Hmm, this is possible in the blog grid when using multiple featured images, however I don’t believe this is possible on the portfolio grid. I agree that this would be a great feature to add, so I am going to add an item to our developers list so that we can look in to it for a future release.

Thank you Ryan for your response. I do think it could be a really good feature to add! I gave your suggestion a shot but I had a particular need of using pages instead of posts. The Gird Wordpress plugin, it seems, may provide the solution.

I was using a child theme so I deactivated it, activated the parent then activated the child and all seems to be ok again.

I just have a question about a BLOG TITLE. In the grid layout, the blog titles are there, but when you click on a blogpost to read it the title has disappeared… Any quick fix for this? Thank you.

So the post titles aren’t appearing on the single blog post pages? Can you please confirm that it is enabled in your Theme Options -> Blog -> Blog Single Post -> Post Title?

Dear Sir, now we are using your theme in “boxed” mode to build a website but i have issue with LayersliderWP to fit the full width of the boxed layout …. i have made all the images equals to “width:1160px and height:369px” and also set the slider’s size to the same dimensions but it fails to fit the row width ….and in the page builder i used full width row …what should i do to make the slider fit the row here is the link http://188.166.29.123/webapps/reckon/ Thanks

Hi all,
Update to V5 went relatively OK apart from one MAJOR issue!
V5 is ‘killing’ browser scrollbar and only way to get it back is to resize browser window.
On mobiles this issue is not present, obviouly – however – it appears on ALL browsers on Windows PC (Chrome, FireFox, Edge etc. – haven’t tested Mac)

Did you undergo conversion? Did you update both fusion core and Fusion Builder plugins? Look in the Avada > plugins tab to make sure both fusion core and fusion builder are activated and installed.
We are not able to reproduce this so it is most likely one of the above.

what is conversion? and Yes I updated and activated both plugins. it also broke all my old shortcodes
when I try to delete the theme to reinstall it it tells me the theme doesn’t exist even though I can reactivate it

thanks for the update to version 5. I am coming back to you with a few pre-sale questions, again:
(1) You said you reviewed and improved the whole code from avada 4 to 5. Can you provide me the total uncompressed file size of the main.js file of avada 4 and avada 5, which will be loaded on page load?
(2) With Avada 5 it is possible to use custom css for specific pages. Will these custom css rules all be stored in one single file and the selectors be identified automatically by the page id or will every site has its own custom css file, which will only be loaded on the specific page? I am asking this, because if it is just one file with all the custom css rules it would be more attractive for me to create custom.css files for every single page, which will use custom styled elements, which are only meant to be present on this specific page and then to load them only on the specific page load by using the functions.php of the child theme, to keep the custom css file as small as possible (sth. like conditionally loading). Do you get me

1. unfortunately we cannot provide that, but yes we did improve and optimize a lot of the codebase in general.
2. Custom CSS per page is only added to that page in one single file and only loads on that one page.

Creating custom templates requires you to create them via custom coding, so it depends on what you want to do and so on. That is not something we can assist with as it is all custom work. sorry if there was a misunderstanding, but you would need to create a custom template via customizations.
Hey guys I’m looking to add the Google maps feature into the contact page using the Lifestyle theme but I dont see an option to add to my page. I used builder elements to add the google maps but it doesnt display. Plus you have options in the theme to change and modify the google maps so I assumed you have a way to add to any page I choose. Thanks for your help.

That is correct, you should be able to use google maps element on any page you want in Avada and it should appear just fine and good for you. Please make sure you are on latest version of our theme and fusion core plugin.
However if you are not able to see maps please immediately open a new ticket and our support reps will look into this issue for you.
