Hi. I just purchased this theme (super excited!) but when I went to install it I got the following message: The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Theme install failed.
Could you please help me with this? Thanks!

This seems to just be a case of using the incorrect ZIP file. You’ll need to first unzip the file you download from Theme Forest and thin this use the ‘hello-friday.zip’ file to upload the theme.

Hey there!
I’ve got a pre-purchase question (still trying to decide between this and Stay Wild!). Is there a way to make the white title boxes on the slider images and categories & pages images under the slider transparent instead of white? Also, can the menu bar be changed to another colour?

Thank you for getting in touch.
The color of the white boxes are fixed and can not be changed via our settings panel. This can however be changed with a line of custom css that we’ll gladly help you with.
The menu background color and fonts can be changed to any hex value via the Hello Friday Settings Panel. The same goes for the dropdown menu.

The theme does not have any Mail Chimp functionality built in but if the button is added with HTML through page content or a sidebar widget that could definitely be included.

Hi, I just bought the theme and am looking forward to playing with it. Every time I go to upload the theme, which is just the Wordpress file, I get a screen that says, Are you sure you want to do this? Try again. I have my hosting through GoDaddy and I’ve already increased my memory limits. Thoughts?

This does sound like it could be due to the upload limit set within WordPress. If you’d like to send through a support ticket with the WordPress and FTP login info I’d be happy to help and upload the theme files for you.

Before I buy the theme I was curious – is it possible to move the categories (in the black bar at the top of the screen) to be under the blog title/logo (Hello Friday -Let’s get lost) and center it?

Thank you for getting in touch. The menu is unfortunately fixed in that position and can not be moved, but you can have a look at Stay Wild, our other blog theme that looks similar to what you are looking for.

The version of HelloFriday with masonry will only be available for download from ThemeForest by end of this week, but you can get the updated version with masonry included if you run a Theme Update via your WordPress Dashboard. If the update does not come up immediately, click the “Check Again” button a few times. Once the theme update is installed, you will find the Masonry setting in the Hello Friday Settings Panel under “Front Page / Front page blog layout”.
Alternatively, please send us a support email and we’ll quickly update it for you.

It might also be that your Instagram sandbox daily limit was exceeded. If that is the case, then you will have to up the daily limit. Here is an example of what the Instagram backend looks like. https://gyazo.com/a706ca60875d130a91576149a9db6633

Yes you can start the home page with the four category boxes. All these panels, like the featured slider, can easily be switched on or off in the Hello Friday Settings panel.

Very interested in this theme but need to know more about the four boxes circled in the screenshot below… can they literally be anything? i.e. link off to other websites, different background images and text etc. Or are they limited to blog categories and such.

I don’t have a logo and just want to use a font. I don’t see where I can do that under header or typepography.

The default Site Title is styled by H1. You gave us a great idea to have it’s own styling(for people that don’t want to upload a site logo) and we’ve just done a new update where you can now do the styling for it.
Please run a theme update via your WP Dashboard. Please hit the “Check for Updates” button a few times for it to reflect. Run the update and go back to your HelloFriday Typography settings. You will see the Title Styling section right at the bottom. All Google Fonts are included.
Please let us know if you are happy with this update.

You’ll need to add in an Instagram ID and access token and we’ve provided some info on how to get these. If you have any issues please feel free to send us a support ticket and we can take a look.

Thank you ! This was a great documentation. But I use a plugin Instagram because I don’t have my access token. The last message was “{“code”: 400, “error_type”: “OAuthException”, “error_message”: “Redirect URI does not match registered redirect URI”}”. 
I don’t know what is the problem…

Loving this them… only problem is that the emojis people have left in the comments are showing up HUGE – like 600×600, or 700×700 – do you have any idea why???
Also I have the instagram showing in the footer fine, but it is showing @hellofridaytheme – how do I change this??
all good about the emojis – I used a plugin that keeps it as text – so now its just the fact it says the wrong instagram name in the footer

The Instagram feed should pull in your Instagram account name by default as soon as your feed is showing.
