The menu can have 2 different states: before and after scroll (these styles can be managed on the theme options). By default, on pages you only have the after scroll state, but on most of the demo pages we have the option “Menu display – Show content behind the menu” active (this option is located on the options panel located under the page content).

To a degree. Working with it to compare settings and elements helps. It will just take us time to get used to it. Image size is crucial too though. Anything less than 1920px wide or 1080px in height forces it to duplicate the image.

If you have another idea for the header setting please let us know. From time to time people ask about this option on other themes and we still haven’t found a better way to implement this feature.
About the images size: not sure if we don’t understand your comment… You don’t need to have the 1080px height… That size is only the reference if you have the row height forced to 100%, but in that case it applies for all themes, because that is the screen size that you are using as a reference.

Can the stand-alone versions of VC or other plugins work with the theme?

The VC version included with the theme has not been modified (so you can use the original VC if you bought it separately). All the tweaks that are introduced on the plugin come from the theme or the plugin Hook Framework.
