Prestashop 1.7 informations

I receive questions from customers about prestashop 1.7 which is going to be realased on 7 November

I would like to share with you some of my thoughts and plans.

1. You should really not consider first realse of ps 1.7 is as stable,  since it is major software upgrade with lot of changes included, there will be probably still some bugs to solve. As a merchant with ps 1.6 you should not thinking abut upgrading to 1.7 before christmas sale season. 

2. Prestashop 1.7 have no backward compability with old version. Entire theme will be rewriten from scratch. A lot of modules will be also rewriten from scratch ( I already started to work on that). I will also rethink many aspect of theme and you can expect new features and general improvmants. But I'm sorry I'm not able to share with you with more detailed plans at the moment. 

What it means? That there will be no easy update from 1.6 to 1.7. It means that it will be needed to remove and uninstall current iqit modules and install theme again in version for ps 1.7. Also other 3-part modules you currently use in your prestashop will be not compatible, you will need to update them

3. When i will realase Warehouse theme for ps 1.7? It is hard to share with you with precise date, I'm working very hard to deliver it as soon as possible, It is already in development from 2 months. I'm expect to realase it January but consider as 100% realase date. 

5.Once it will calm down I think it will be worth to upgrade since ps 1.7 looks promissing and there will be also great improvmants in theme. But you must be aware that migration from ps 1.6 to 1.7 will be not easy, it will be probably harder than migration from ps 1.5 to 1.6.

Hello, I have a 2 situations on http://www.karp.ro/ with sorting products when there is pagination. I am using version 1.6.1.7 prestashop with warehouse version 3.8.2

First, if i choose Sort By Price (ascending, descending) on first page ordered products appear well but starting with the following pages ordered price is not right.

Second, If I copy a link sorting, ex. Sorted by manufacturer barracuda are obtained http://www.karp.ro/110-plumbi-si-momitoare/#/producator-baracuda.

If I try to copy this link to apply it on a slide or try to open it in a new window, the link path is rewritten and get a wrong link: http://www.karp.ro/110-plumbi-si-momitoare/# . This no longer comply with the initial sorting.

I do know that sorting function properly on the default PrestaShop theme. It is a matter of block layered navigation?

But to make matters worse, ALL my previous copies of the files were also automatically deleted from the folder containing Warehouse files. What is going on?

hey, i’ve been using this theme for a while now. i noticed now i have some problems with the theme editor module. Every time i hit save, the module tells me that the changes are saved but they do not appear in the front page. Changing positions of icons and logos works good but everything related to backgrounds, colors, patterns, margins and shadows are not commited to the front page. I have tried different combinations of Prestashop versions, PHP versions… i does not work. I have cache disabled, and recompile every time changes are made. i have tried installing and re-installing with different database data every time. nothing changes. now i am on PS 1.6.1.5 (1.6.17 has problems with translations and mega menu gives me “headers already sent error when trying to modify menu items”) PHP 5.6.27 and MySql 5.6.33. I have tried clearing all cookie and browsing history. it just refuses to work. I have warehouse theme v3.8.2 and theme editor 3.8. Pls Help.
