Hi,

The ‘Links’ (inks Manager) post type is enabled in your theme, but it seems it doesn’t work. When adding a link it doesn’t save/do nothing. Is this a known issue?

How to change the layout of product pages for all products using visual composer?? please answer

Hi,

You could enable visual composer at your product pages at Visual Composer >> Settings >> Role Manager and check product. Though, this will not allow you to change product design/layout. It will only let you control your product description layout. This restriction is imposed by Woocommerce and you will have to do Woocommerce customization to fully use your visual composer for product’s overall layout.

I’m having a really strange problem. After Checkout and going to Paypal, the page pulls up a 404 when returning to the site, and the cart remains full.

Can you please confirm the Porto theme version which you are using? I think this is the issue of permalink can you go to Settings >> Permalink nad refresh your permalink.

Hey Porto developers (does the name have anything to do with the Portuguese city?), I’m thinking about buying this theme because of it’s great eCommerce capabilities along with being a good multi purpose website, and for other reasons. However there is something that is holding me back from decidedly going forward with Porto theme — the blog grid, in its current state, is not good. Moreover, I’ve read previous users complaining about the same (since 10 months ago), and read your replies that you would look into other themes and improve. By looking at the current state of the blog grid I would say those complaints haven’t been addressed.

Here’s what I mean. This what the grid in Porto is currently capable of https://i.imgur.com/SeNWlWy.png Mainly: * extremely long blog excerpts showing, with the same default formatting as most free themes (right image); * buggy spaces appearing (left image). My question is simple: Are you improving the blog grid anytime soon or not? Apart from that, it looks like a great theme, and if I knew this was going to be improved, I would buy it now.

1. No, the name has no linkage with Portuguese or any country. Its just a word been picked.

2. I am going to double check with our development team that we have fixed this issue or not. I believe we do have an option to change excerpts word count to avoid this layout issue, but let me double check with our team.

Thank you for using Porto Theme. WordPress themes generally does not have this option and WooCommerce also does not have this but there are various WooCommerce extensions out there that can offer this feature.

We have not tested this paid plugin yet with our theme and it’s not possible to guarantee 3rd party plugins for us. So we think that if the plugin is coded perfectly it should work with any WooCommerce theme like Porto. You can also confirm from the plugin author. This is the best info we can provide at this stage.

You can change the heading widget tag h3 to div from wp-content/themes/porto/inc/functions/widgets.php file. Please edit this file and find h3 tag and replace with div. After made the changes please copy the file and upload it into your child theme by creating the same directory as the parent theme have.

Yes, these all paid plugins are included in the Porto theme. There is no need to purchase these plugins. You can see the plugin list which are included in the theme here:

The Porto theme is only compatible with WP Super Cache and W3 Total Cache but not included in the theme.

Having a real nightmare with this theme!

The compile thing doesn’t work for me and doesn’t update any of the colour changes that I want. I ensured the right PHP version is running and implemented all the status requirements.

Is there a particular order in which the compile buttons should be pressed?

I would seriously recommend removing this feature and stick with the way all the other themes do it.

Hi,

There is no need to Compile CSS every time after made the changes in the theme options. The Compile CSS button only use after the theme update to recall the settings you have set before the theme update. Normally, you only change the options from theme options and click the save changes button only.

If your skin options and color options are not working then I think that it’s the permission issue. Your server did not give permission to add / save the settings of the Theme Options. Basically, when you saved the theme options then it’s created the skin_1.css file inside the CSS folder, because of permission the theme is not able to create this file into your site. Please contact your hosting provider to change the permission to 777 or 755 of the CSS folder and all files.

There is no options available in the Woocommerce to add the more Order status but you can use the Woocommerce Order Status Manager
https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-order-status-manager/ extension to add more custom order status into your site.

OR

You can use the 3rd party plugin YITH WooCommerce Custom Order Status:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/yith-woocommerce-custom-order-status/ to achieve the goal. For the email also there is no option but you can use the 3rd party plugin for that purpose otherwise, there is no option in the Woocommerce. You can use the WC Multiple Email Recipients:

Can you please tell me which picture you were talking about on the homepage? If you are talking about the product images then you can change the image sizes of the products
  • Please go Woocommerce > Settings on admin sidebar.
  • Please click Products tab.
  • Please click Display link.
  • Please go Product Images and change the image sizes.
  • After change the image size, you should regenerate all the thumbnails in Tools > Regen.Thumbnails on admin sidebar.

I have two questions for you guys.

  1. I am using a top menu with sticky header. When I hover over a category the sub categories are displayed to the right. How do I change the hover behavior to display subcategories on the left instead of the right?

  2. On the checkout page the form rows are not displaying next to each other on one line. They are default set to 48% width via css. I would like to change this default width to 42%. I have tried to override this in the custom css theme option, however I do not get the desired behavior when media queries take effect. I have found the .scss file where this is defined, but when I change the values the changes do not take effect. Can you tell me how to re-compile the .scss into .css files so the changes take effect?

Correction, I meant the sub-subcategories. When I hover over a top level category the menu drops down displaying the sub categories. However when I hover over the sub category the sub-subcategory displays to the right. I would like to switch that to the left side.
