Thanks for your purchase. For the first issue, try to add#site-header { background-size: cover !important; } to your theme’s style.css file.
About the issue with the logo, go to “Appearance -> Customize -> General -> Site Logos” and make sure you uploaded the basic, retina and small logos for the different screen sizes.

Erik, a couple of questions. 1) How do I change the slider background on the home page? I have my image up there but I can’t seem to change the background (right now it’s a default gray)
2) Also, the chapter overview section is not lining up when I select the 4 columns. The first row is fine but the second row has 1 then third row has 3?? It’s fine without the images. I also resized the images as well thinking that was the issue. I appreciate your help

Thanks for your purchase.You can edit the posts footer meta function in flatbook/inc/template-tags.php, it’s called flatbook_post_metas() function.
Or if you are using a child theme, create a functions.php file (if it isn’t created) and copy the flatbook_post_metas(){} function there and customize it according to your needs.
To remove the author, comment out the following:
if( $user ) { echo '<span class="byline"><i class="fa fa-user"></i>'.$user.'</span>'; } And to edit the date just customize the $date variable.

It’s been quite a bit more then 5 days. Does anyone else have any information on how to fix the broken links on the Flatbook page numbers of the blog? When you click them at the bottom of the page they just go back to page 1. I noticed there was a question on this earlier but the answer was taken care of off line. Any information would be great!

I have individual pages for home page, blog, about etc, but would like to revert to the single page scrolling. I can’t remember how to get back to one page scrolling

Not sure if I’m missing it somewhere. I’m using the slider header, but it is only manually sliding. Is there a time setting or something to make it auto scroll?
Sure, open up your header-slider.php file from the “partials/” folder (within the theme files), and around line 119, change:
autoPlay : false,
to this:
autoPlay : 5000,
where 5000 means the slider will rotate after every 5 seconds.

I am having trouble with a clients blog page links at the bottom. I noticed that someone about 8 months ago had a similar problem but it appears the resolution was done on elsewhere. The issue is that when you go to the blog page in the website and you go to the bottom and click on a page, like 2 or 3, it appears to change but only loads the information that was on page 1, as well as displays to the side of the buttons that it is still on 1 of 83. Are you using the latest version of the theme? If you are using one of the earlier versions of FlatBook, probably this bug still remains somewhere in your files.

I bet the site has some type of security on it. I thought that I had the most current template in place. I didn’t see a version number in my download list but I created it this last spring and don’t recall getting an update noticed from Envato.
I’ll see if I can get access to it for you, but what happens is at the bottom of the page where the numbers are, when you click on number 2 for example it acts as though it is loading and show the 2 highlighted, but the info is still the page 1 info and the type at the right still says 1 of 83 or something like that.

Erik – Don’t think the person I am working for wants any body to access the site. Sorry to say. Would it be possible to send me the details on what I need to do in the code or other? I am happy to go in and take care of it for him and you.
No problem, it’s completely your decision to make. However without testing your backend, I can not say a quick exact solution, but you need to do something like the suggested solution for this problem.
I don’t know what your experience level is, but hoping that you can understand the example linked, and will manage to integrate the solution in FlatBook theme either.

Being able to use this theme with other applications is an important part of the purchase.

You can insert your Google Analytics tracking code manually into your header.php file (within the theme folder), right after the <body> tag, as described in this tutorial.

I have three licenses for this theme and one of my customer just noticed that the blog page buttons at the bottom of the blog page click and show that it moved to a new page but the content does not change from what was on page 1. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi Erik, I am having problems updating the home page. I get the message “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case.” but my connection is fine. I can update any other aspect of the theme ok but the homepage takes forever and often redirects me to the “page not found”. I am on a dedicated VPS server and the host says it is something to do with the theme. It is incredibly frustrating as I am unable to do anything.
Hi, the home page builder may load slower than the rest of the admin pages, because it has to load hundreads of custom fields and layouts for the content building feature.
I would suggest to try increasing the WordPress memory limit by adding the following code to your functions.php file:
function theme_increase_mem_limit($wp_max_mem_limit) {
return "512M";
}
add_filter('admin_memory_limit', 'theme_increase_mem_limit',10,3);

I think you can just leave as it is, as long as you don’t experience any functional issues beyond the error message. Otherwise, let me know what’s wrong.

Hi, I have a few support requests: 1. about the contact form. I’m having trouble finding where the contact form settings are located. In the menu side bar, there are a lot of contact forms listed but which one is mine and how do I change some settings? 2.I also wondered whether you had a recommendation for a “captcha” plugin that would work with the form you have designed for this theme? (1) Hi – up and running with the home page, and live. All other pages create a 404 – either from imported content, or my own. Only page that works is home. Permalinks looks ok,no idea how to resolve. Any ideas? Have disabled all plugins, no difference.
(2) there is a 7-10second delay on loading the site when nothing happens. Other sites on the same host have no problem. If i enable twenty-thirteen or one of the others, no delay. Timeline analysis shows a big long gap, then the site loads quickly. All plugins disabled, and still very slow. Same host, fine with other sites. Please advise?
Other than that, fantastic theme and great experience. The page builder is great.

1.) I don’t have a clue at this point about what can cause this, but send me over your admin login credentials via email and I’m going to look after this issue, and came up with a solution.
2.) You mean this slow loading for the backend (admin) or the frontend? The page builder needs to load hundreads of custom fields and inputs for the admin, that’s why it loads slower than twenty-thirteen, for example.

Dear Support,
I use Flatbook theme, and there is a bug while I’m scrolling the content in tablet view / samples section.
Using Mac/Firefox, and while I’m scrolling the content within the tablet, randomly freezes out. I need to click on the table of contents to restart it.
In other OS’s and Browsers are working well.

It seems that your “Latin Extended” subset refuses to load with Roboto Slab for some reason… I would suggest to just include the google font link for Roboto Slab manually in the functions.php file, with latin-extended subset enabled.
