Could you add more control over the DB Indexes option -> Settings | System & Performance | Database Indexes. The ability to activate / deactivate each index via checkboxes, perhaps grouped into logical sections (Customer / Product / Orders etc.) with activate / deactivate group and an activate / deactivate option all option would be good.
At the moment it’s pretty much hit the button and that’s it, no easy way to change.
Very hard to make suggestions to this theme as it is damn near perfect and definately the best OC theme out there IMHO.

Hi, there’s no reason why you would exclude some columns from being indexed, we suggest you have all foreign keys indexed in your database in order to speed up the execution time of database queries.

There is every reason to want to control the granularity of indexing, particularity the need to reverse an index in the eventuality of a schema change within OpenCart.
If you want to have the feature in your theme at least make it flexible? Will continue to manage indexing outside of your theme for the time being.
Hi, not sure why you’d see that as negative. First of all this is small bonus feature we added for non-experienced users but if you are experienced enough with databases and you are familiar with managing indexes directly from a database administration tool, you can just ignore that option and work directly from the db.
As we’ve explained, indexes are added to all foreign keys as well as some other fields like query and keyword in url_alias table. Since these indexes are recommended for any Opencart installation (some of them are already in place when installing Opencart), we have decided there is no need to add an option to let the users decide which indexes they would want to add. This works for any Opencart schema changes, as long as foreign keys are ending in “_id” suffix and we don’t believe this would be changed in the near future by Opencart developers. Also, there’s no need to add a remove index from a foreign key column since it’s recommend to have indexes on all foreign keys.
But again, if you know your way around databases and need more functionality from that option it’s best to work on it directly from the db.

Hi, yes of course, all 10 demos are part of the same theme framework, just styled differently from the admin.
We’re in the process of updating the demos now and you can see RTL live in Demo 1 for now but it works in any demo.

What kind of update is worth looking forward to?
Hi, there are lots of changes, you will be able to read the changelog before you update. Some of them are:
- Infinite Scroll on category pages
- Accordion module. A simple general purpose accordion module, useful for FAQs, etc.
- Duplicate module / slide option. Can now duplicate any module or slider slide/caption.
- Enquiry Button and Product Tabs/Blocks have a new option to be added on out of stock products only.
- Product page image additional zoom – after the image is opened in the popup gallery there are additional zoom options (Requires large original product image dimensions)
- Retina logo option
- RTL support
- Added dropdown menu options to Top and Secondary menus
- Language / Currency option to display full (flag + text)
- Super Filter – We’ve added default Opencart Filters
- Super Filter – Accordion mode on filter sections so they can be open/closed when clicking on the section title
- Super Filter – Added option to enable the filter on mobile phones (previously we were providing custom code).

Hi, there may be some option resets, yes, you would have to set them again via the new options – not sure about other extensions.
The old sticky header is gone, we recoded that, the sticky header will come down as you scroll the page down, it’s a different mechanism but which allows for more customizability and also works on tablet. Phone version of sticky menu is also available now.

Hi, I actually knew about this feature but my question is about magnify zoom on hover,It works like a magnifying glass which shows only a zoom part of product when hover on that particuler/small area of the product.

Hi I’ve recently started using your Journal Theme. When I test the website and go to the Quick Checkout page, I get the following errors in my browser: - Connection is not secure Parts of the page are not secure (such as images).
And also my Kaspersky antivirus picks up errors and says “Request has been forbidden by antivirus.”
Why is this happening and how can I fix this?
