You can use Single Image element to create an image button, it allows you to set the link for the image.
I would like for the link image to have a hover animation effect like woocommerce’s one. Is that possible?
Sorry but there is no image button with hover animation like you mention. We have only a link button with the icons as you can see on our demos.

Showtime Marketing has bought the theme VELA I am having problems with the website where I have centred the text under ABOUT US but it is not centred on the webpage. ALso I have added many works in portfolios and then do not all come up on the website. One portfolio is ‘dye cut bespoke’ type but when you click on dye cut bespoke no photos come up at all. I have added 14 works under portfolio in the back end/ wpadmin, but only 6 works are showing on the website. Please help me with these issues. You’re currently using Vela 1.8 and Visual Composer 4.9 that are too old.
The latest update of this theme is 1.9 that comes with Visual Composer 5.0.1.
Please make sure you’ve followed the correct method to update the theme. Please download new update from the Downloads tab on ThemeForest, choose “All files & documentation”, extract the zip file you will see our documentation inside. Please follow the instructions on how to update the theme in our documentation.

It allows you to customize the blog post form for users to publish blog posts through the frontend.
To use this plugin:
1. Go to User Frontend -> Forms, to create a Post Form.
2. Copy the Shortcode of the form.
3. Go to Pages to create or edit the page for users to publish blog posts through the frontend.
4. Switch to the Classic Mode and then insert the code into the Text Editor.
5. Users can manage their posts in the “Dashboard” page that comes with the plugin when you install predefined pages.

Unfortunately, there is no sticky header on mobile. It’s available only on desktop and large screens in the current version.

I’m trying to upload a image to my Media Library under the Background Image for a post in the Vela theme. When I try to upload an image, it states, “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.” Can someone help me fix this problem. Thank you!

Actually it has something to do with installing the theme as I set the appearance back to wordpress Twenty Sixteen default theme and Media Library shows all files along with allowing me to upload images. When I activate the Vela theme media library doesnt come up. Any other suggestions?
We’ve never seen this issue before. Maybe there was a plugin conflict issue. Try to deactivate all other plugins to see if it works.

Of course! This theme is compatible with PHP 7. And our demo sites are also running on PHP 7. Try to update the theme and all plugins to the latest update to see if it works.

I’m having problems with Visual Composer: in the page editor I can see only the header of the VE window, the backend editor disappeared and the frontend editor doesn’t load. Maybe the plugin must be updated but the plugin site tell me I can’t update because I don’t have a valid license. Can you help me? Thanks
You will need to update the theme to get the latest update of the Visual Composer plugin.
After you update the theme you will see a notification message to update all bundled plugins.
If you couldn’t update it, try to delete it from your Plugins page first, then you will see a notification message to install it again.

i have uninstall and install whole wordpress again then this issue resolve few days before but suddenly it came back now
Try to delete the Visual Composer plugin first. If you couldn’t remove it completely. Please manually delete the folder “wp-content/plugins/js_composer” on your server.
After you delete that folder you will see a notification message on your WordPress admin to install the Visual Composer.
i have done this process before which make my website worked! but this issue came back after few days. currently i have done this process to make website up but i am not sure if this happen again. please help me with root cause which create this issue again
I’ve never seen this problem before. I suppose this is a server issue. Sounds like there was something removes some files from the Visual Composer plugin folder so it couldn’t find those files.
If you have any antivirus software installed on your server, try to disable it to see if it works.
No as such antivirus is installed on server. we have other wordpress project running on same server with out any errors. please check the root cause or provide us with any security majors in form of any plugin or any process that we should follow to keep our website up!

Hi, I try to desactivate all plugins one by one to solve the problem, but I didn’t have luck.
The problem is that it looks a white lateral strip on each side that cover the content of the website. I don’t understand that it is this as I have not made any changes recently and suddenly I go to the website and see this error, I do not know if it is a problem that can be responsive…

Unfortunately, there is no option for customizing any element in the Theme Options. You need to manually add custom CSS into style.css in your child theme to customize the tabs element and any other elements to suit your needs.

I have a strange issue. The latest blog posts are fine in the blog section on both mobile and desktop but the latest blog posts aren’t showing up in the generated section of the home page on mobile. Desktop seems fine. Anyone else having this issue? Didn’t notice it until the last update.

This is not a theme issue, there is unknown container that prevents your page content to stretch to full the browser width.
I suppose that it came from other plugins, try to deactivate other plugins one by one to find the problematic plugins.
I have disabled the plugins one by one and the problem has not been solved, it is as if it had put a white strip to each side of the web and that hides part of this one.
This happens to me all over the web and I do not see the error.
Can you tell me if you see any other solution options? Thanks!
Seems like there was something wrong on your page template. If you have modified the theme, please update the theme to see if it works. Also, you should update the whole theme folder.

Hi – one last thing that isn’t working correctly for me yet: Portfolio items.
Before i updated to your latest version of vela theme, I had 4 portfolio items created, and when i clicked on each from the gallery/carousel i was taken to each portfolio item’s own page.
Now when I click to see the individual item’s page, i get page not found error, but the pages do still exist with info in them in the Portfolio section in my dashboard.
Please lmk what to try to resolve this – thanks so much!

Sounds like this is a permalink caching issue. Try to refresh the caches by navigating to Settings -> Permalinks, select Post name and save changes so WordPress will regenerate the permalink rewrite rules and refresh the caches.
Slider revolution, whole top section on home page (for Vela Child Theme: personal portfolio), doesn’t show up on mobile device – any ideas why or things i can try? is the image too large? it shows up on slider revolution mobile preview
Unfortunately the Slider Revolution couldn’t play the video slider on mobile automatically since mobile didn’t support this feature. You should set the cover image for the video to display when the page loaded. And then you will need to click on the cover image to play the video manually. I’m using vela theme – and I activated the vela child theme
How do I change the css for links? I want them underlined and a differwnt color than the color theme I chose in the “theme options” “Styles” I don’t see an option for that in the styles menu, or in typography
I was even trying to change the css in the styles.css in the child theme folder, but that not working either.

Sorry for the delayed response!
If your custom CSS didn’t work, that means the default styles from the theme are more important than your code.
The easiest way is adding your custom CSS into Theme Options so it will override the default styles.
I’m not sure which parts you’d like you to change the link styles. You should specify the parts or elements, otherwise this will affect all links in your website even on the main menu and all buttons.
Here’s the code to change the color and add underline to the links in the Text Block element and on the blog post content.
Try to insert it into Theme Options -> Advanced -> Head Content as below:

I’m sorry but this theme doesn’t support the pageable container and actually it’s not available in this theme. I’m not sure why you still be able to add it into the page.
Please make sure you have always update the theme since this element should be removed from the content elements window since it’s not compatible with the theme.
