One more pre-purchase question: Is it possible to have multi languages? I want to have english / german / french / romanian languages and I would like to give the option to my visitors to select the language they wish to use. I don’t think you have this option already built in because I don’t see any tool bar that’s visible on every page from where the users could select the language. Can you recommend a plugin that will work smooth with Salient?

Hi Themenectar =) On this About page (http://www.bcnej.org/about/), I’d like to link each column/team member to a individual bio page, as I’ve done with the first bio. Is there any way to create a hover effect so that the photo becomes darker, say, to indicate that it can be clicked on? Right now just the little cursor hand shows up but it would be more intuitive if there was a hover effect. Not sure if that makes sense. Thx!

I´ve noticed a strange header behaviour between a width of 1001 px and 1017 px. The header doesn´t shrink and remains transparent. All other widths are working fine.
I attached a link to a screenshot to show you what I mean. The site is in maintenance mode, but I can provide login credentials, if needed.

Hey greggoodman, unfortunately that feature is not supported in the Google map offered in Salient – it would require custom development or the use of an alternative map plugin

“Separator With Text” element Is not responsive on mobile phones.

This has solved the problem thank you. Although I do like how at the mobile breakpoint the lines are removed and it just turns into normal heading text. I just wish it wrapped like this fix.

Something I really need is a resource for a preset of awesome typography sets to fill the salient options typography panels for general HTML elements and nav elements.
I am getting tired of running through a ton of the google web fonts and trying them out to see how they work. Do you have a resource for the different fonts you use or a preset selection you work from?
Even if its your own personal that would be sick. I know technically its in each of the demos and I do use those I was just wondering if you knew of anything else.

Hey, a line break is the easiest way – the only alternative would be to set a max width on the title container which would automatically cause line breaks

Hi guys, on the ‘submenu’ VC option, can I:
1) Have an item that doesn’t have a link? (ie, instead of using # just have no hyperlink whatsover? I’m trying to organise a list of menu items with a subheading…
2) How can I stop the submenu being ‘fixed’ on mobiles? I can’t see in the CSS anywhere that it’s position:fixed so must be somewhere in the js?

First off, just want to say thanks for answering my questions + your support. Another topic came up today. I would like to be able to limit the “Salient” options based on a permission role.
For ex, I wouldn’t want our marketing lead, who will be updating a lot of the content to go in and uncheck the “Responsive Design” box. Is it possible to limit permissions within the Salient theme options?

Hello! First of all, although I’m sure you receive comments like this but I can’t hold myself… AWESOME JOB GUYS! I bought 5 templates that I tried to use but in the end I got pissed off because of the logic behind them. Today I found your template and I have to agree that this is the most complete template I’ve seen. I got a few pre-purchase questions and I want to thank you in advance for your time responding me.
1. I saw that Salient comes with a custom Visual Composer. If I want to buy some addons for Visual Composer will I be able to use them with your custom builder (aka Nectar Page Builder)?
2. When will you update the template? Also, will it contain major visual improvements?
3. I will install it on one domain. BUT I need some sections to display different variations of the template.
eg.: Home: I want the website to start with "Product version"
Button 1: I want to display "Service version"
Button 2: I want to display "Corporate version"
Button 3: I want to display "App version"
... and so on ...
Do I have to activate Wordpress Multi Sites to achieve this? Can I import sample data in each version of the website?
4. Do you offer install assistance (of corse billable)

1. It’s possible that if some are including duplicate elements Salient already includes that there could be css conflicts
2. Salient gets updated with new features every couple of months and bug fixes as needed
3. You can mix sections and create your own using the page builder – demos like the App & Service are still just regular pages created with visual composer, they just make use of the Salient full page row function http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/page-metaboxes/#fullscreenrows
4. Not as of now, however you could get this done easily through Envato Studio https://studio.envato.com/explore/wordpress-customization
5. Sample images are replaced with place holders, they can not be included due to the stock image copyrights
