That should be the first row background image. When using the page builder that is included with the theme click on the pencil to edit the row properties.

You will find more information about that on the theme documentation. Anyway, in terms of width I would suggest at least 1600px, but if possible use 1920px. Make sure that you optimize the images for the web (meaning that their size in kb should be relatively low).

Thank that worked out. The only problem is I can’t get the header color to change to white. Also, I created a sidebar help text with the text ”+”. When I open it in mobile mode, it turns into a hamburger and the secret sidebar doesn’t work.

Hi! Loving the theme of course!
1. My ‘next project’ links on each of the single portfolio posts are videos. They autoplay perfectly… even on mobile! Is there a way to autoplay videos within the actual page itself –> on mobile?
2. On the portfolio page, is there a way to use the overlay effects but have the url change to the single portfolio url?

I just got your new HOOK WP theme. I’m running;
• MAMP 4.1 on a Mac (for local design).
• WordPress 4.7 installation
Installation went without any problems at all. Also admin panel an all back-end seems to be working. But front-end will not load. When browsing the pages i only get the spinning loader and no page is visible.
Do you have any idea on why this happens?

That situation does not seem to be related with the theme. Please turn OFF any plugins that are not included with our theme and try again. We have also the theme installed on MAMP and Mac and it seems to be working fine.

This is really wierd… I have no plug-ins other than the three required. I even re-installed a clean copy of MAMP. I have no extra extensions in my browsers (Safari & Chrome) and I have checked browser settings for anything I can think of. Still, there is something that prevents most of the demo pages (like “business” and “full demo”) to load! I only get the spinning “loader” graphic.
Because you are working locally I can’t help much. The only way would be eventually via Skype where you can share you screen with me. If this is ok with you please send me a private message (contact form on this page http://themeforest.net/user/pirenko ).

We managed to track it down to the file hook_framework/shortcodes.php “Uncaught Error: [] operator not supported for strings in /www/wp-content/plugins/hook_framework/shortcodes.php:2626”
Fix this by not initializing arrays as strings.

Thanks for the feedback. That is a weird issue, because I never ran into it. There must be some setting (eventually a new thing on MAMP) that is leading into that. Anyway, I will implement this adjustment on version 1.5.

Hi, Just wondering how I adjust kerning (letter spacing) as ive just imported the settings for ‘the main demo’ and noticed the font gap is closer together for the online demo compared to what im seeing on screen.
I cant find the usual line and text space setting in the Theme Options panel.

Ive done a temporary fix with CSS which now makes the Menu and the Main copy look like your Main Demo example but im not sure if you were expecting users to have to do this once they installed the correct skin?

For the menu you have the option in the same area where you setup the menu appearance. As for the other parts that you targeted there’s no special option for those.
We try to keep a good balance between the ease of use and flexibility so we don’t add an option for things that most users don’t need to change.

2 questions…
1) i’m using the Photography Studio as the template but I want to create a Latests ‘Blog’ post section that looks similar to the two thumbnail rows used to create the ‘latest portfolio’ By this I mean creating a 2 row grid of 6 images which has a title either inside each thumbnail or below. However as this is an overview page (not the actual Post page) I dont want to include ‘read more’ text, underline, author information etc… I just want the grid with a title. Is this possible?
2) I want to create a form with only ‘email me’ text and an input box. This is similar to the type you have used in the ‘Biz Startup’ template. The newsletter. How do I create my own forms as this isnt clearly obvious within the theme.

Here are our comments:
1) Well, you can use the portfolio items and then make them link to the blog posts, but this is not very comfortable for you, because you will have to create extra portfolio items just for this. As an alternative you can install a plugin to display posts like that. I don’t recommend installing a plugin that relies on Visual Composer, because the theme strips some functions to keep the plugin lighter;
2) On the theme documentation you have an example that you can copy/paste, but it is for the newsletter plugin. I suggest that you create a form using Contact Form 7 and then send us a private message with a link so that we can assist you;

Hi. I have a little problem with the footer. I would like to put a link in the “bottom” part of the footer (not with the widgets). Hi again Pirenko! I have been building up my portfolio (mainly video), now I have almost all the projects in the portfolio item. But when loading the website preview it takes really long (I don’t think is my internet connection), like at least a minute or two. I guess it’s because is loading all the video loops from the projects (I created loops of 5 seconds per video and uploaded as mp4, around 3 or 4 MB per file, and webm, around 1 MB per file), apart that my laptop starts heating up quickly… Once even OS notified that firefox was consuming all app memory and suggest to force quit.
I’m considering to remove some video loops, although I like how it looks when they play on rollover… Maybe I’m doing it wrong or there is a way to make it lighter? Maybe you can make me a suggestion, what are the best specification (screen size, video bitrate, frame rate) for having videos running on rollover?
