Hi People, send you an Email yesterday. Need Help with my Menu. After installing this Theme with a Demo and activate the Menu, the Site doesn´t load. It loads only without a Menu – secondary menu works! What can i do? What do i wrong?

Be supporter of the theme…have been using it very often but I am now having a unique problem as I am attempting to better understand how your demos are setup. I have attempted to upload the .zip file on a local installation and on a test domain. After each time, I keep getting the error message “Are you sure?”. I’ve never had this issue before….I am following the instructions that I typically follow. I’ve even attempted to FTP the folder into the WP-content folder—>Themes folder and it’s still not working….
Please advise.

Hello. I cant find the option for enable social icon on the Header secondary nav menu. Where is it? (I’m using 7.6). I also want to put a phone number in the secondary nav menu. How can I add this? Or any text there? Thank you!!! Great theme!

1. In the Salient options panel > header navigation > layout related tab. It should just be there as “Enable Social Icons”
2. You can add text items by using custom menu links and setting ”#” for the actual link href

When will Salient support “responsive images” introduced in WP 4.4? Is it possible to define any ETA for this? I read your previous comments a few months back. RICG solution implemented in WP 4.4 core is probably one of the most important part of mobile first approach. It would be a very big shame if our clients couldn’t benefit from it.
Never the less, we love what you do and hoping that Salient development will go in the right direction

I’m working on improving our sites category/tag pages, by adding a header image and description.
I’ve enabled “Archive Header Background Image” in the Salient options. Now if I want to add a custom image to a category page, I can, no problem. But the field is missing on the tag pages. Can I somehow add a bit of code or alter a file to have this option on tag pages as well? Thanks

Hi there, I’ve been trying to contact you on your own support system but it’s been really hard to get answers from you. There are many issues with these theme which I’m assuming is happening mainly because I’m using the theme RTL. You guys say it’s RTL supported but I get to many answers like it’s not working we don’t know why – the developers are on it – and I never hear back. I really really wanted to have particles on my home page, but that doesn’t work and I’m waiting for an answer since November (#929589). You give me alternative solution which A. Have different issues, also RTL related, and B. Not what I wanted and is provided in your demos (which is why I bought the theme).
Since I bought the theme I feel like I have to give up on many features because on my theme it doesn’t work. This has been really hard! For instance, no particles, arrows on portfolio are different because RTL, alignment issues on Nectar slider when I add background to text so no background, alignment issues in general, giving up on sticky sidebar (#1023373 still waiting for a reply here), forced to have a secondary menu on mobile and tablet because then you have black header space which doesn’t show on your demo – and yet I got an answer that it’s the way it’s build ( #1023368), and so on…
Now, that I have changed many many things I still have a few issues but I can’t get any answers from you. Basically I feel like you’re ignoring me as I see other people are getting answers from you. My expectations from this theme and your support dropped dramatically. If I thought this theme will serve me and many of my clients, now I realize that even if want to keep buying your theme for others I won’t as I don’t get any real support and apparently your RTL support isn’t really what it’s made out to be in your demos. The only good support I received is on changing colors of a few things I couldn’t find and took you a few times to try as well.

It varies depending on how tall the row will be – there’s also need set dimensions required – it really comes down to your own needs and desired quality. The demos use dimensions anywhere from 1300×500 to 1900×700

Thanks on one of your demos, I am trying to figure out how to recreate a demo but I can’t import it. It’s the one with the homepage that says “Hello to your calendar” specifically on the internal pages, I love the color and how the designer placed graphics in the top right corner of the page. Why is this demo not available for import?

But how I do make it show up on all screen sizes..for instance whenever I design something with a full row and an image in the background, typically the image is lost on smaller screens. Hope this make sense.
Hey, the way that demo handled is was by simply setting the bg alignment to the side which the item was placed on. If you resize your screen on the demo you’ll see how that functions – the option was also used to hide the BG on mobile devices and just leave a matching BG color showing
I am getting an issue and I’m hoping that there are others who have the same issue and its easy to fix…
The woocommerce product layout on the homepage looks strange (it’s split and empty in the middle). The product category pages also look strange when on the mobile…

I changed the setting to rounded buttons than it was easier to set the border-radius change in the css. thanks! I think it would be cool to have an option to set the border-radius on the buttons in the theme. Just an idea To have more options than rounded and square.

Hello, I am wondering how to achieve an effect used in the ECommerce demo:
On the version of the demo viewable on Themeforest, a fullwidth portfolio element displays and links to 4 mock pages (menswear, casualwear, etc.) with titles only and no date. However, if this demo is imported in Wordpress, this portfolio element displays the contents with a date and in chronological order, which seems to be the portfolio’s standard behavior. So I am curious how to use the portfolio as it appears on the Themeforest page, without dates and in a user-specified order.
For ordering, I imagine you could simply change the publish date for each item to create the ordered sequence you prefer, but I’m not sure if the ECommerce demo has been altered with other controls or modifications that I’m not aware of.
I am new to web-design and have been picking it up through tutorials and studying the documentation, so forgive me if I’m missing something obvious.

You can use either a portfolio element or an image gallery element (set to image grid style) for custom links to your categories as the demo shows. If you’re using the portfolio you can disable dates via the theme options panel > portfolio > functionality tab. You can also reorder by the date or by drag and drop using https://wordpress.org/plugins/intuitive-custom-post-order/

Unfortunately, this theme is too slow for me to use in production. A Google PageSpeed check gave it a 18/100 on Mobile and 20/100 on Desktop.
Even the demos (with basically no content are in the 30s/100) I should have looked at this before putting development work towards it. I’d like to request a refund.
Hey bkrall, when using standard optimization for page speed, i.e. gzip compression, browser caching & css/js minifcation it’s not possible for scores to be that low.
