Are the SSL & Google fonts issue fixed?
Just enabled SSL and all fonts are broken, and the actual North theme editor page in the admin area just break.

You may install/update the Visual Composer plugin from Appearance / Install Plugins menu. We didn’t want to duplicate the plugin files in a separate folder – it was actually recommended by ThemeForest reviewers.

Hello, My site has been created with your theme for over 2 years. Wordpress has been updated and I have to purchase the new version of the Visual Composer. Now the theme is no longer compatible with the new visual composer. Is there a way to keep the possibility to modify the theme with the new visual composer please?

Well, the theme is absolutely compatible with the latest Visual Composer. We keep including the latest VC version in each theme update. Right now it’s 5.1 and you can find it in the latest theme package. Please check this article for more details about plugin updates:

Right now you may change the portfolio grid order by modifying the /north/framework/shortcodes/lib/grid-portfolio.php file and changing these lines:
'paged' => $paged, 'post_type' => 'portfolio'
to:
'paged' => $paged, 'post_type' => 'portfolio', 'order' => 'DESC', 'orderby' => 'slug'

I am having problems with the Gallery format post. Ive created one and its a mix of vertical and horizontal pictures, well the navigation buttons are misplaced on the horizontal images because the gallery leaves free space for the vertical pictures. How can I solve this?

Hmm, a great theme for sure as I’ve used it for two years now. However the latest round of updates introduced a couple of funnies for me. Namely I have TWO menus appearing when I scroll down on the full-screen slider instead of the one I’ve always had. Can’t seem to shake it off so I’m a bit stuck now. 
It’s not actually two menu’s it’s just a doubling of the custom links (or any other item types), which then wrap the page when it gets too long. If I create a blank menu with a single Custom Link in it pointing to ‘http://frontpage_url/#home' then I get a menu with TWO home buttons pointing to the same place….odd…

How do I update the theme? The theme had a problem with category in the shop for WooCommerce, I flagged the problem a month ago and didn’t recieve any follow up on it. Is it fixed? How can I safely update it?

Getting error with HTTPS font after updating the theme.
was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure stylesheet ‘http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Indie+Flower&ver=4.7.3'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.
and also the console is getting spam with “Bla bla bla” which seem to have been left over in console.log in the jquery.
Actually I just fixed the HTTPS myself. Wasn’t it supposed to be fixed in a futur update? Anyway I’m still getting the bla bla bla from a left over console.log

I cant figure it out and I have tried…
When I navigate from my One Pager to a subpage, example: http://front_url/hello I cannot navigate back to the One Pager. This is what happens in the url field: http://front_url/hello/#whatever instead of http://front_url/#whatever.It places the “anchor point” after the subpage url. If I press home and only home, it works but only because it reloads the entire page. I cant solve it and it makes me crazy. I have seen it work properly in your demo and on other sites using this theme. Please help.

Yes.. the one pager part is working when you dont navigate to a sub page. Then you cant navigate back. I have read the documentation and there is nothing in the documentation that differs from my menu config, or else im gone blind Im submitting a ticket.

I understand the issue and that’s why the theme comes with the “http://frontpage_url/” shortcode for menu links which is explained in the documentation I just linked to. Do you use that shortcode? I can see that in your first comment you keep using “http://front_url/” which is wrong.

Well, all demo homepages can be imported by following the installation screencast. After you import the demo content, you will se all Homepage demos in your “Pages” area. You then just set the desired homepage as your Front page in Settings / Reading menu. Regarding the support site – can you tell me what kind of error do you get? It seems to be working just fine on my side.

Thank you for your reply, Filip. I followed those instructions and was eventually able to submit a ticket. It appears that there is either a php bug or some sort of conflict because the fancy text boxes from visual composer are not showing on the front end when the home page is assigned to home 8. I have submitted a ticket to your support system and will be awaiting a reply. Thank you.
it appears that all other visual composer elements are displayed on the front end of the site. The elements that were written by your team, Veented, are not displaying on the front end. Can you please tell me, in detail, how to correct this. Thank you.

I have download the latest version of North, but it does not include the updated Visual Composer plugin, so visual composer is not working on the back in. Please advise

I just checked the theme package and it DOES contain the latest 5.0.1 version of the plugin. Here is what you can try: please go to your Plugins menu and deactivate and delete the VIsual Composer plugin completely. Then go to Appearance / Install Plugins and install the plugin from scratch.

I’m so sorry but this is technically not possible. As you noticed, smartphones like iPhone always play a video in a separate player and they simply do not allow to play a YouTube video outside of that player. So it’s more of the mobile software side limit.
