Hello,
Since your last theme update, featured job carousel stopped showing and was unable to make one feature job to display on the landing page though it displays correctly in Job lists page. The social icons in footer have disappeared and the header image of the landing has shrunk too. I guess a new theme update shouldn’t alter the page design though we didn’t made any modifications to the theme.
In addition to that I was trying with your support team to fix an issue for more than 2 months and yet nothing. My customer is angry and the back-and-forth here is becoming very frustrating although you are known for your excellent support. I have submitted a new ticket support on Jan 25th regarding that issue. WP Job Manager support team said that the theme is blocking them or causing this issue. The issue is well detailed in my support request email.
Thanks and regards
Hello, another critical issue to mention is the mobile view of the menu tab in smartphones and mini-tablets, it has a weird display with no menu contents. All these issues appeared after your last theme update.
Hello, first the issues you described in the first part:
1) jobs / resumes spotlight element was rewritten, all you need is to recreate it in builder (remove and add again or just edit options again)
2) I don’t know why social icons might disappear – please check if you have social profiles links entered
3) also not sere what my cause header image issue – we need at least a site URL
We are trying to reduce the amount of issues possible after serious updates, but sometimes its not easy, so please sorry about that. I would recommend to backup theme after such updates, and write to our support if any issues. In 90% of cases all these “issues” can be solved in 5 or less minutes with our help.
About your ticket that you waiting for 2 month – I checked all tickets by you and I do not see anything like that. All of them answered, which one it is? We never leave tickets without answers, especially for 2 months!
And about mobile view – please give us a site URL, how can we know what is wrong on your side, as you see on our demo everything is fine. We can not solve issues without seeing them, its not possible and it is a most time consuming way.
Also please write to support system, we can not send file here if we need, and its not private place to discuss the issues about your site. Also it is just adding more mess in our conversation if we are doing it in two places. There are few of us working on themes and support, and its easy to be confused.
Thank you.
Hello,
Please check my ticket submitted on January 25, 2017.We got your help request! One of our agents will respond to you as soon as possible. 1/25/2017 4:26 PMI will resend it to with admin credentials.
the header image of the landing has shrunk too.
1) jobs / resumes spotlight element was rewritten, all you need is to recreate it in builder (remove and add again or just edit options again)I have recreated the page without adding the element jobs / resumes spotlight and the header page looked normal, when added the element jobs / resumes spotlight and select carousel in view option, the header image shrunk to a smaller size width and no featured jobs are listed executiveminds.me/about-us/. But if you select list in view option, the image header displays normal BUT the featured job listing displays a huge company image. This means that the element jobs / resumes spotlight is causing the issue.
Now I have deleted temporary the jobs / resumes spotlight element from home page until you get it fixed executiveminds.me
Again please check your support email
Thanks
Hello,
Any updates?
Thanks
Hi there! I think one of our guys already replied to you via email. Let me know if I’m wrong and I’ll check it out.
Hi!
I received an email that you are working on the issues. But nothing yet has been resolved! Thanks
I’ll check it out for you. Sorry for the delay.
I just checked and see the last reply to you was on Feb 1st:
Sorry, I was editing the file and accidently misspelled part of code, and now it cayuse and error.
Please in child theme functions.php remove the code from beginning until this line:
add_action( ‘wp_footer’, ‘validate_pdf’ );
I can not do it without FTP access. Again, my apologies.
Also, in this case this is definitely plugin side issue, they have no any ways to validate this fields, and that is must be part of addon functionality (like in WP Job Manager plugin itself). But I’m looking how to make it via theme.
Then you replied:
I remove the code from the beginning including the line:
add_action( ‘wp_footer’, ‘validate_pdf’ );
Hello,
Yes. It was on February 1st. We are now Feb. 6th and nothing since has been added to functions.php file. What about the menu view in smartphone? have a look at it in your smartphone please. All these happened after your last theme update!
I need urgently your help to fix these issues. This is very damaging to our business.
Thanks.
Hello, I’m looking into file attachments validation problem, as I said before it must be done in plugin, it is not related to the theme, but we will do it for you. Menu is fixed. Thank you.
Hello,
I am very much appreciated.
Menu is fixedContact us in menu tab is still not showing in smartphone.
Thank you
Hello,
Guys, after 4 months of purchasing your theme and important issues were not yet resolved. I know that you are very busy. I understand that
1. when added the element jobs / resumes spotlight and select carousel in view option, the header image shrunk to a smaller size width: https://executiveminds.me/about-us/ The first is a carrouse viewl, the second is a list view and you can see there the huge image
2. The resumes submitted through Resume Manager application can’t be retrieved, when I click on view in admin, I get page not found and it displays the the blog section page which is not supposed to appear!!!! How are we supposed to see the candidates resume submitted through resume manager. https://executiveminds.me/wp-content/uploads/resumes/resume_files/2017/02/Carlo-M-Reyes-CV-2017.1.docx Please compare with photo upload: https://executiveminds.me/wp-content/uploads/job-manager-uploads/candidate_photo/2017/02/My-Photo.jpgPlease if you go through all the tickets I opened through your support page. You will find these issues not yet resolved.
I know that you are very busy. I understand that but I will quote what my customer said to me today:
we are fed up of having to deal with these technical stuff and keep answering queries from applicants
What should I answer them?
Thanks
Hello,
Any updates about the file validation problem?
Thanks
Hej, I like your theme, thinking to buy it, but before I have a question:
Is it possible to put more information in the “company profile” like a photo gallery, more text, videos, and a tab menue?
So that the company profile looks like something like this: http://preview.themeforest.net/item/quickfinder-multiconcept-directory-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/16772842?_ga=1.85829919.704345285.1464556792 >> “Company Single” (Company Info)
Thank you.
Hello, you can extend company information, but it will require code customization. There is no easy way to do that at the moment. Thank you.
Is this Theme translated to German?
Hello, no its not, you need to translate it by yourself. Thank you.
Please, your pretty theme (Jobseek) comes accompanied with “dummy content”, which I saw on your demo website?
Hello, yes it is. Thank you.
Does this site work with Bullhorn API?
Hello, no its not. Thank you.
Hello dear Coffeecream team. My agency bought this theme twice (because it´s good). But there is styling problem on the job search page (where all jobs are listed) for Internet Explorer 9, IE10 and IE11. The small images (img.company_logo) jump a little bit to the top in every listing. I would like to send you the screenshot our customer sent us. But here´s no button for that. The css-code for the images uses “transitions” which the IE 9, 10, 11 don´t accept. Could you send me piece of code so I can fix this? Thank you! Jens
Hello, thank you for finding this bug, please add this line to Appearance > Editor child theme style.css:
.company-info .image img { top: auto; }
We will also add this fix to upcoming update.
Thank you.
Pre sale question: Can the basic without paid plugins have the share this section, Hourly Rate, Salary within it like on the job page. Thanks.
Hello, yes it is all included in basic version, it is our mistake that its not presented in basic demo, we will fix that today. Thank you!
How do I remove the date on the job listing?
Please create a support ticket, I will provide you with the solution there – I need to send you a file. Thank you.
Hi, the slider revolution is not working in internet explorer but works with chrome, is it any bug?

Hello, can you please create a support ticket and provide and access to WP dashboard of your site, I need to check what is wrong from inside, because it must work fine… Thank you.
created
I see you already did, will check it now…
Hi, Is it possible to have membership fee on your template? So the users that want to search for a job must pay a memership fee so they can applay on a job that is posted on the job board?
It’s really enough to post just one comment
Hello,
I want to show an error message when user upload unsupported files such doc, dcox and txt files. I have this code in functions.php
function filter_mime( $field ) { if ( ‘company_logo’ === $field ) { $allowed_mime_types = array( ‘jpg|jpeg|jpe’ => ‘image/jpeg’, ‘gif’ => ‘image/gif’, ‘png’ => ‘image/png’, ); } else { $allowed_mime_types = array( ‘pdf’ => ‘application/pdf’, ‘jpg’ => ‘image/jpeg’, ‘jpeg’ => ‘image/jpeg’, ‘gif’ => ‘image/gif’, ‘png’ => ‘image/png’, ); } return $allowed_mime_types; }
Thanks
Hello, where you want to show this message, on what page? We do not have such code in our original files, how is this code related to something? I need more specific information here. Thank you.
Hello,
In apply for this job form, when candidates upload a non supported CV file format and hit on submit buton, it looks like a successful submission but in fact no application is received in the back-end! And the candidates do not receive any error message.
I need to add a code to popup an error message that the format is not supported and therefore the submission was not successful.
Thanks
Hello, did it worked fine before, and what WP version are you using? There was an issue in WP 4.7.1 with mime types, it will be fixed in 4.7.2, for now you can use this plugin as a temporary solution https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-real-mime-check/ Thank you.
Hello, it is WP 4.7.1 and it never worked before. Thank you
Hello, how did you found which formats are supported by each field? By default company logo, candidate photo only support image formats. The resume field support all formats allowed by your WordPress install (there is no format limitations in plugin code). I can not check how it work on your site because I do not have your URL. On our demo, if you try to upload for example a text file to a company logo you can not do that – an alert window will appear saying that this format is not allowed in this field. Thank you.
If you know how to use a browser inspector (for example in Chrome), you can find which formats are allowed by hovering the upload fields and looking into tag code.
Hello, on the post job page, you are not listing prices equal to demo .. I bought all the plugins that are sold separately and do not appear
Hi there!
Thanks for pointing that out. It looks like WP Job Manager pplugin author increased the prices and we didn’t know about it. I will change the description right away.
If you have any problem with out theme, please send us email on support@coffeecream.eu and one of us will help you as soon as possible. It’s Sunday evening here, so we’ll help you tomorrow. Thanks again!
Hi there, for some reason I cant add additional css? It doesnt show up. Also – in previous comments here you have written that an option for high resolution logo will come – but I cant find anything?
Hello, where do you add custom CSS? Thank you.
Using the customizer
Anything?
Hmmm, I do not see a section for custom CSS in customizer. I found this feature may be specific to your installation or hosting:
Note: you must have either WordPress.com Premium or WordPress.com Business active on your site to be able to add custom CSS to your site
You can add your custom CSS to Appearance > Editor, and add it to child theme style.css file.
Premium? Its self-hosted on our own server.
Where is the option to upload high resolution logo?
Retina is disabled for now, next week we will release an update with many visual improvements and I will also add it too then.
I found information about CSS here, we do not have this in customizer in our demo: https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/
Hm ok. I activated the child theme and that broke the site
So Im back to the normal one, stupid editing that one though – considering there are new things coming in.
It happened because all settings in customizer are attached to theme name, and when you switch to other theme they are back to default, even if its child theeme. So all you need is to reapply customizer settings. Using child theme is highly recommnded.
I just bought this theme today and tried to add this to my wordpress, but it is saying “Wordpress Failure Notice” when I am try to install.
Hi there! Please send us email on support@coffeecream.eu and we’ll see what we can do about it. Please include your website URL and login / password to your WP admin area. Thanks.
Hey Coffeecream. Is the sale theme included the extended addon´s or is it the basic version. Thanks. BR. Andreas
Hi Andreas! Please read the whole description very carefully. The price is for theme, not for plugins. There is a list which plugins are included in theme and which you would have to buy separately directly from the plugin author. Link to the plugins list and plugin bundle package is also in the description.
Hi there I am looking for a solution which will allow users to add a profile with the job/service they offer. So that we can have a directory of all the services people offer in our community. Is this the right solution? How can it work?
Hello, yes, sounds like it s what you need. Thank you.
Please, some pre – Purchase questions: 1. Is there any provision for subscription to the website with just email address so that, that email also receives newsletters without registering as a job seeker or an employer? 2. The basic version demo does not have the footer block with the heading “About JobSeek,” “Employer Tools” and “Job seeker tools.” Does it mean that, that footer block and other blocks absent in the Basic demo also require add-on plugins to display?
Hello,
1) I believe its possible, but may need some plugin (notify users/subscribers by email about new posts) and small customizations to make it work just like you need.
2) You can make same footer as in advanced demo, it just for example that you can disable it. No addons required for that.
Thank you.
Hello! in big mistake I removed (reset) the user role (Employee and Candidate) using some plugin, After this action the wordpress role back to default without Jobseek rols ….
Please if there is any way to back (Employee and Candidate) !!!! two weeks of customization i don’t like to remove and re-installation the theme …..
Thank you
Hello, you can try to remove it plugin, then deactivate / reactivate plugins like WP Job Manager and Resume Manager (if you user it) and see if the roles back. Thank you.
Hello, I have question, there’s a way to change the submission …
I want to make the candidate apply just (One Free Resumes) and change the submission idea from (Applying Resumes) to (Applying Job)
e.g. Candidate register on my website, after he fill his resume, then he select a plans to applying jobs (Plan 1 – apply 2 job for free) (Plan 2 – apply 5 job for 10$) (Plan 2 – apply 15 job for 25$) ....
Thank You
Hello, there is no way at the moment to charge for job applications unfortunately. You can only charge for postings jobs or resumes and be able to feature them. Thank you.
As your expecting, what is good time for this feature to be able to use ? thank you
Its not in our nearest plans even, we with the WP Job Manager team develop such features with their addons, but for some reason they offer only these options.
Okay, i have another question – How can i customize the resumes field – want to add\edit some attribute like gender – drop down list – etc. !!!!
Please read this article: http://coffeecream.helpscoutdocs.com/article/80-how-to-edit-job-resume-submission-fields
Thank You … Helpful reply ….
Another question about strong password how to make it easy ?
What you mean by “strong password”?
When gust user make a registration tha password role its to hard/strong .. how can fix this to make it regular ... OR advice me for good premium login plugin
Do you mean separate registration, or during the job/resume submission? If separate registration (provided by woocommerce plugin), then you can get rid of it with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/password-strength-for-woocommerce/
Thank You ….
Hi, How to enable employers to chose their jobs as featured jobs after doing the payment?
Hello, you don’t need to enable it. If you checked “Featured job listings?” when created a job package then all jobs posted by its buyer will be featured. Thank you.
