Is there a way to disable the mobile view?
Do you mean a way to disable the mobile responsiveness of the theme? There is no easy way to do that, but is there a specific reason you would like to do that? It’s highly not recommended.
Ok, no worries. On another note, is there away to move the book image to the left of the text instead of having on the right? (My book mockup is angled the opposite way and would look better on the left).

1. In the admin panel navigate to Appearance > Menus
2. Click on Screen Options in the top right of the page, select Link target:

The Theme uses the Contact Form 7 plugin for the contact form. In the Admin Panel, go to Contact > Contact Forms and there you can select the Contact Form you use. There you can adjust the Form and Messages.
The live demo has a very nice page layout. Is that sample page available?

Mobile Preview is not working on iPhone (Chrome and Safari App) at the moment. Are you planning to fix that? And is there a restriction on the number of pages of the book preview? If not, is there a pagination function?

Looks like there is some problem when the preview bar on top is added from Themeforest. Otherwise, the theme is working correctly on mobile. You can either close the bar or try the direct link: http://subsolardesigns.com/novelawp/
As for the book preview you can add as many chapters as you like. There is navigation on the top left as well as a scrollbar if the content is too long.
can I use a video as a background?
Unfortunately no, there is currently no such option in Novela. You could add background video with 3rd party plugins like Revolution Slider.
Hello, is localization of the theme possible? In the demo the email capturing does not work – is it turned off in the demo?

Yes, there are .po and .mo files in the theme that are for the localisation. You can translate it with a program like POEdit or plugins like WPML or Loco Translate.
As for the second question, what do you mean by not working? Are you receiving an error when trying to use it?
Thanks for answering the localization question, that it can be done via .po files. About the email: there is no active field to key in an email address, just the “Name” field accepts input. Am I missing something?
OK, sorry, got it – was kind of missing the “original” field … hmmm
the descriptions for the email just looked like headings to me – not like input fields!
Oh I understand. There is a Custom CSS field in the theme, which you can use to add some styling to the input fields – like a slight change in the background color so that they “pop” a little. We can also help you with such slight changes.

Yes, you can have separate pages and different buy buttons for each book.
I plan to publish more than 30 books. I could not figure out how to navigate. Is something like this possible? Or should I look at another theme?
You can have 30 Books for sale but as you can see from the demo, there is no Browse Items page. You can create buttons which will redirect to a Book single page similar to the button under “Go on a Journey” in the site demo.
Or you can create multiple sections like the “Perfect Landing Page For Your Book!” section on the demo.

Is there an e-commerce plugin that you would recommend that works well with the Novela wordpress theme? I have a physical book that I want customers to purchase and I noticed the theme only comes with a downloadable plugin. I installed Woocommerce, but it doesn’t work well with it. You can create single WooCommerce Product with your book and use its Buy shortcode in the theme.

Hello, When you create the button shortcode, you can write in it the URL you wish the button to open – [button to=”enter-url-here”]. You can read further explanation in the documentation, Shortcodes section.

I’m having some issues with the Contact Form section of my home page. When anyone presses the SEND button, the Contact Form doesn’t empty or refresh. The message stays visible even after the “success message” pops up below.
Is this a glitch? Please help. It happens in all my browsers on the Mac.

The integrated plugin “Easy Digital Downloads” doesn’t have natively such option. You can extend it with the Add-on “Simple Shipping”( https://easydigitaldownloads.com/downloads/simple-shipping/ ) or you can use the book preview functionality of the theme and create a separate product with WooCommerce.
Yes, you can insert Gallery in the book preview.

You will have to add a book in Downloads and then add the chapters in the Chapters tab. There is a detailed explanation in the documentation. Open the index.html file in the documentation folder and there you will find the Creating a Chapter and Creating the Book Download sections.
